Overall excellent dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. Not going to go play by play for every meal and course. Instead I'm going to summarize major call outs. Appetizers - careful with how much y order. Sizeable portions of salad and soup if getting a combo entree. It's a lot of food so order accordingly. Free bread provided with eggplant curry as well. Entrees - all excellent, weakest was branzino which was heavy on salt but cooked well. Pasta was fresh and Chicken Parm slammed. If vegetarian have the server do a meat check as there's some certain meats inherent in the pasta and sauces. Servers seem sharp and attentive to dietary restrictions. Dessert - Lastly for birthdays if you tell the server what u are celebrating, they will bring a lighted candle on a cannoli for the table. I'd have preferred a small piece of cake with a candle as it's more Celebration themed. The cannoli wasn't the best, but the cake we ordered for dessert was excellent. Maybe don't do the chocolate icing all over the plate. Chocolate creme all over a plate is slightly tacky and prevents the dessert taste come out. Save the creme and icing for kids or sweet shops. Honestly, just a cake with a candle would be a cleaner presentation or a normal cake slice would be a simpler dessert. Only nitpicking this much, as the overall night and food hearty, plentiful, and excellent. I want Andiamo's to keep the recommendations in mind and keep improving. This can easily be one of Detroit's top Italian and Steak dining destinations. Service was excellent, ambiance on point, and drinks flowed. Nitpick the food and dessert and keep constantly improving. I've been to several Andiamo locations, and this one is by far my favorite. The restaurant has a more modern, updated feel, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The food was fantastic. The minestrone soup was flavorful and comforting, and the gnocchi was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Overall, this location stands out for its atmosphere, exceptional service, and consistently great food. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Had a reservation for my parents 35th wedding anniversary! Table of 12 we got the fried calamari which was good but not the best I've had, and Burrata and Calabrese to start which was absolutely delicious! The Caesar salad was authentic and delicious as well. I ordered the filet and it was cooked to perfection with great flavor. Basically our table ordered everything on the menu and the lamb chop was huge and everything was good. Staff was super nice and friendly and answered all of our questions. We came here on a Friday around 5:30. There were open tables but we did have a reservation. We were sat right away. The server was super kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the specials and the history of the restaurant. He brought bread and a dip (I forgot the name of it but it had eggplant, olives, celery and tomato). Both the bread and dip were good! I got a bowl of Italian wedding soup with my meal and it was the highlight of my meal. It was so amazing! The broth was salty and amazing, I wish I could eat a whole vat of it. For dinner I ordered the 5 pepper pasta. The chicken on top was good but the pasta was too spicy for me and the sauce looked like it had been sitting for a while, so was a bit of a miss for me. My one year old son really enjoyed the bread and the chicken fingers. The others also enjoyed their meals too. read more

I went here for my birthday dinner and WOW. The interior is beautiful and the location is right on the outer edge of Partridge Creek mall, which offers a fountain for pictures just outside. The food is some of the best I have had in a while. Prices can be a bit high, but the quality is great. We ordered calamari as an appetizer which was fresh and soft with a slightly crispy exterior. I recommend using the lemon provided (the lemon bag was a nice touch) and dipping each piece in the sauce because the calamari is quite plain in order to showcase the natural flavor. I paid an upcharge for the Caesar which was very fresh, crisp, and dressed perfectly. I liked the breadsticks on the side which paired quite nicely and there is an anchovy on top (making it a proper Caesar salad). Our server was able to talk to the bartender who was able to make a chocolate martini which was the tastiest one I've had in my life, accompanying my entree well. It was smooth and rich and I would definitely recommend it. My entree, the ribeye, was juicy and prepared perfectly. When dipping the ribeye in the zip sauce (add-on) it melted in my mouth. To finish off, our server brought me 2 free cannolis for dessert which were piped fresh! We hadn't visited in several months upon our arrival on Saturday evening we informed that Valet services has been discontinued for some time. The greeters at the front desk were difficult to approach and not inviting-made us feel as though we were a burden for asking about the Valet services. Never smiled. The restrooms were not cleaned and paper towel was not available. Kat, our servicer was good, as always. More upselling of food items than I recalled. Gratuity automatically added to the bill for a party of 10. My main entree was tasty but the accompanying salad was meager. Husband and I went out for a celebratory dinner after we sold our house. We rarely go out to eat, but when we think of fine dining in the area we think "Andiamo" so this was the first place that came to mind. The service was great and our server was fantastic. I ordered the regular NY Strip, and my husband got the bone in strip off the premium menu. While my steak was decent and cooked as desired, the knives were not sharp, which came to be problematic for my husband as he attempted to hack through the gristle to get to the 20% of the steak that was actually edible. Quite possibly the worst steak we have ever had, and we had such secondhand embarassment at how far Andiamo has declined that we just paid and left without saying anything. We won't be back at all--no way you can convince us otherwise. $200 for our dog to get a nice bone. read more

Food was a bit pricey and the place felt pretty "fake-fancy." The ribeye steak was well-worth the price, but the other entrees' portions and quality were barely acceptable for the cost. We were notified that this location specializes in steaks, so be aware of that. My Old Fashioned was well-made, maybe a bit sweet, and was a fair price. Andiamo is a local chain by now. My first encounter there was decades ago when I had my high school prom at a 12 mile Warren location. A new Andiamo is located at Partridge Creek mall and we brought here a family for Sunday lunch. So, ambience is ok. Place is airy, fresh looking and there's plenty of ambient light. Did not sit at the bar but it looked inviting. I had a fillet mignon. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. No frills, just a basic meat done right. read more

So my wife and I went here for a financial planning conference and the dinner was provided free of charge. Having said that, we have in fact eaten here before and both times the food was really good. I'm not the only one that feels this way since 500 reservations were made for Father's Day. Yet, here's my issue... The salad was served like it was rationed at a prison camp. Coincidentally , the vegetables on the plate with the steak seemed rationed as well! There were two half slices of a baby carrot and three mini green beans!! I had a glass of the house wine, from the open bar. Tasty, but $14 for like 6-8 ounces. I mean it was ok but $14??!!! The filet mignon was very good as were the potatoes. Bread plates were on the table yet no bread was on the table, so I asked for some. Willing to pay for it, but then I was told the 400 fathers on Father's Day ate ALL THE BREAD! It's an Italian restaurant!! What the hell? Even more interesting is Nino Salvaggio's, an Italian market, is right there! Send someone over to buy their bread! Then after that, fire the guy that does the ordering followed by the manager! You had 500 RESERVATIONS and you didn't see this coming? I know this might seem a bit harsh. Look- I'm all about paying for good food, so if I'm paying $50 for a meal, put more of it on the plate and bread on the table. I should NOT be walking away hungry. read more

The inside is very pretty and modern but still has a classically upscale feel. Our server, Kevin was perfect; welcoming and a consummate professional. He gave us time when we needed, was knowledgeable about the menu & able to answer our questions, was attentive without hovering. We were deciding amongst two different pasta dishes, the 50 layer lasagna & the chicken Alfredo. Hubby also wanted to order one of the filets... We opted for both of the pastas to share & he ordered the prime filet. I started with the house salad, he chose caesar. The house salad is mixed greens, tomatoes & a creamy parm. I love a creamy parm so I was happy. The Caesar was good. It came with an anchovy on top & the dressing was a little heavy on the lemon for our tastes. The lasagna was good, different than most lasagnas. It didn't have ricotta or mozzarella. Instead it had a bolognese sauce, Parmesan, mushrooms, scallions & fava beans. It listed bechamel, but I didn't really taste it. We really liked the fettuccine in the Chicken Alfredo. The pasta was thick and the sauce clung to it, as an alfredo should. The sauce was creamy and one of the better ones I've had. The chicken was grilled pieces mixed throughout. My hubby prefers this, I lean towards a grilled breast, cut in strips placed on top. Would I turn down this Alfredo? Absolutely not! Hubby ordered the steak medium, and I'd say that's what arrived. It was a thick cut, so some of the edges leaned slightly towards medium well... The zip sauce served on the side was tasty, we've never had any before so we can't compare. Was it better than the USDA center cut filet and the $12 difference? My palate may not be refined enough to tell. The side of angel hair that came with it was a nice complement, but hubby would've preferred a potato dish, which would've had to be added a la carte and we had plenty of food. We took quite a bit home, except for the steak. We ordered a piece of cassata cake for home. I'd pass on the cassata cake, it was small for the price and I didn't like the buttercream on top. Honestly, the one we get at a "chain" is twice as big (literally enough for two), costs less and we literally want to lick the plate... Overall, beautiful interior, a pleasant experience, great service and a nice night out, but on the pricey side for us so it will be a once or twice a year visit. read more
