Huge Plates!!! I love the bread and butter. Our waitress had taken our order but she didn't write it down. That resulted in my cousin receiving the wrong item. They fixed the issue. Our waitress didn't check on us that often. Drinks were low. I'm assuming her shift ended ( since she walked out with a lunch bag and never returned). She did not come to our table to check on us before she left or to let us know who will be the new waiter taking care of us. We had to get the attention of another worker. The food was pretty good in flavor and portion size.

Arrived during the 11 o'clock hour. Only one other party seated before the lunch rush. In rustic style, with wood and metal, and Italian pride, with graphics, music, and of course food. Opted for take-out and ordered Chicken Parmesan. Requested the chicken to be packed separately from the marinara sauce and spaghetti noodles. Loved it. I still need to dine in again soon and try the Spicy Carbonara or Specialty Pasta Linguine Clam.

Came back for round two and the service has definitely improved. What's crazy is that there was only one server for the majority of our visit this time. This time we had calamari, and cheesy garlic bread as appetizers. I ordered the lasagna, my hubs the chicken parm- again. And our friend ordered chicken fettuccine. The lasagna is pretty ricotta heavy, at least the slice I was served was, so if you're not a fan, watch out. The restaurant was clean as always. The owner was talking with a random customer about food and he dropped everything he was doing to answer questions about a possible catering order even though he was busy. That's great to see.

Came here with my sisters and we all got pasta! Overall, I'd say this place has some solid pasta. The picatta was really good and tasty, and so was the mushroom agnolotti. These 2 pasta dishes stood out to me the most. The chicken Alfredo was nothing special, and I personally did not really enjoy the spicy Mac n cheese. I recommend the picatta :D Inside is on the smaller end, but was clean. Service was mid... maybe we just came on a bad day for them. One of the workers said they were busy preparing for a catering event, but it took a while for us to get serviced so that kind of ruined the experience, waiting for our food, menu, to be seated, etc.... but the older man was very kind

Roma is a hidden gem. At first glance it didn't seem like much, it's a small place with maybe 15 tables. We were seated right away for a party of 5. We ordered their salad and it was totally sharable if not as your meal. I ordered the RCBA which was delicious. My husband ordered the spicy carbonara. My children split the kids spaghetti. They originally forgot the sauce so they just added it on top making the pasta runny unfortunately. But my kids still ate it and enjoyed it. I got a tiramisu to go. Thought due to the portions of the pastas it would be a little bigger for the price but it still tasted good.

The garlic cheese bread and bruschetta were good, but the Roma rigatoni was not. Was wayy too spicy (and I like spice usually) and not even a good spicy, it just ruined the whole meal. The service was amazing, Skye was so sweet and so were the other waitresses!

We are fans of Mike's Pizzeria so knew I would like this version of his son's. What started as a food truck has morphed into a brick and mortar. Nothing fancy, a delightful little cafe in a corner shopping center on the far northeast end of Fresno, sort of opposite end of Mike's location. Not a large menu. Beer and wine but no bar. Oh, and desserts. I took a slice of limoncello cake home to share with my husband. Very good. Not super busy at lunch. Quick service, but relaxed for a group not in too much of a hurry. Delicious food and large portions. My only complaint...not opened on Mondays, but neither is Mike's.

Came here on a Friday for dinner. Inside was very spacious and very clean. Service was excellent. They have a pretty large menu. It was hard to choose what we wanted to try. They give you homemade rolls to start off. These were delicious. We ended up ordering the caprese salad, garlic Parmesan fries and a pepperoni pizza. The caprese salad was good, could use a bit more balsamic . The garlic fries were ok. The pizza was pretty good but it seemed it was a little overcooked. The crust was kinda burnt. Overall we still found our meal enjoyable. There is so much more on the menu that we want to

Let's start with the positive things; The mushroom ravioli is out of this world it's #2 right under 13 Prime in Fresno I didn't catch the waiter name but he was a young man with glasses he was very nice and was trying his absolute best Now with the negative; The carbonara was bland, dry, and had no flavor. They had to bring 2 extra sides of sauce for it to be edible. The RCBA was nothing special either very little bacon pieces It takes nearly an hour to get your food. It's clearly not on the staff but on the owners/management. They have 3 waiters on the entire floor when it clearly needs 6 for the amount of people that show up. Hopefully they get the help they need I felt so bad for everyone working there

My made to order almost chicken Marsala that tasted exactly like it. And felt like it was made with love!

We cannot get enough of Roma!!! Their food is so delicious. And their service is top notch. The owner had let us know one time that they could really make the chicken Marsala anytime and just to ask for it. They changed the specials for the summer, so I asked and the waiter happily said she could ask the chef. Then Serg came out and confirmed what I was wanting and what could be done without an ingredient, and I accepted what he was willing to do for me. He came back out once more to check in and ask me about my dish and I just felt so special!! Talk about making the customer feel like they are in a family members home getting served fresh food. Thank you Roma! You will continue to get our business! Also-caprese salad and raviolis with pesto Alfredo sauce were 10/10 too.

New Favorite! Deserves Way More Stars Roma Italian Kitchen is seriously underrated. When we walked in, the place was spotless -- like impressively clean -- but totally empty, which made us a little skeptical at first. Thankfully, we stuck around because it ended up being such a gem. Our server was super sweet and brought us fresh bread to start. Not just your average bread either -- I literally saw them pull a fresh batch out of the oven and set it aside for dinner service. That first bite? Warm, soft, and just perfect. I had the mushroom agnolotti and let me tell you -- it was divine. Perfectly seasoned, rich in flavor, and so comforting. My husband got the spicy mac and cheese, which was huge, and the first thing he said was, "this tastes like home." That's when I knew we had a winner. We also tried the Wild Horse beer, which took me straight back to childhood -- it reminded me of Tops (anyone remember that?). We even went to the brewery after dinner and picked up more cans. That's how good it was. Honestly, this place does not have enough stars on Yelp. The food, the vibes, the service -- all 10/10. Highly recommend!

Spicy chicken carbonara.. not at all spicy, and pic taken after starting to eat it
    Kathy H.

So pleased with the food and experience here. We arrived after the dinner rush so we were seated right away and at least 3 different servers asked if we had been helped. We were given complimentary fluffy dinner rolls that were so good. We ordered the spicy chicken carbonara and the chicken piccata. The spicy carbonara was not spicy to me but had a smoky pepper flavor that reminded me of bbq sauce. So that was a little odd but still tasty and the noodles were perfectly al dente. The chicken piccata was lemony and the little pops of capers were perfect. Huge portions for leftovers later that night. Definitely will be back to try other menu items!

The menu uses Italian names for many of the dishes, so I wasn't immediately sure what everything was, but once we figured it out, everything we ordered was delicious. The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. On my second visit, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs--and it did not disappoint. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, with a hearty, house-made sauce that tasted deeply authentic. The sauce had a beautiful balance of savory tomato flavor, herbs, and just the right amount of richness, as if it had been simmering all day. The meatballs were tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, not dry or overly dense, but exactly what you hope for in classic Italian comfort food. Every bite felt homemade and satisfying, the kind of meal that reminds you of a family kitchen rather than a restaurant. Valentino's proves that size isn't everything; the small space is remarkably warm and inviting. The relaxed, cozy atmosphere perfectly mirrors the menu, allowing for a meal that feels unhurried. This is our 3rd visit to Dicicco's on Shaw Ave Van Ness Avenues…read more Dicicco's is a family owned restaurant. It has a long and wonderful history here in the Fresno area. Each restaurant is owned by a family member of the original Dicicco's which was located on Belmont Ave. I have great memories of the little brick building. It's where I had my first Dicicco's pizza about 50 years ago! Every visit here has been a delicious experience. Each of our servers has not only provided excellent service but they've made our dining experience a fun one. Elena was our server this evening and she was so much fun! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the food! Haha well ... Tonight, my hubby had The Don. The Don is epic! It features Fettuccine Alfredo And Lasagna as part of a 3 main dish combo with your choice of one of their delicious chicken dishes. You have a choice of all the classics: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Panna, and even Chicken Cacciatore. Can you believe that?! Well, he chose the tried and true Chicken Parm. I was surprised because this has never been his favorite dish but is mine. His dinner was absolutely delicious! But how would I know? He loved it so much that he shared a good bite of each with me. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The marinara was light and well... perfect. The Lasagna? You have to come try it. Just like Nonna's. Well, not My nonna because I'm not Italian, but you know what I mean! I decided to try something different and ordered the Old Blue Eyes. This dish features penne pasta with green onions, fresh spinach, and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces gently tossed in a delicious pink sauce. Let's have some saucy conversation here. This Pink Sauce is no ordinary Pink Sauce. It has a depth of flavor that is so good and complex that well, you're just going to have to come and experience it for yourself! It's much more than just a marinara with a touch of Alfredo. This is a unique sauce that stands on its own! You really owe it to yourself to discover a Fresno gem that offers the taste and feel of a delicious family dinner in a bright and cheerful setting. We invite you to come and experience this Dicicco's! Their menu offers a variety of dishes not available at the others. Do you have vegetarian or vegan friends or family? We do and were they ever surprised to have more than one choice. Don't forget... You can add a soup or salad for a modest charge. Along with the salad they offer a choice of homemade Minestrone or Cream of Zucchini. Either are good choices but... If you're a Clam Chowder lover come in on a Friday when you can find it made fresh. Friday is also the only day that they do not serve Cream of Zucchini. If you have the chance to order the Cream of Zucchini do it! My husband is Very picky and if he liked it you're sure to love it! I absolutely enjoyed every delicious spoonful! It was light yet warm and comforting. A soup that is perfect for a chilly night like tonight. It's so good that it's worth going out to dinner just to have a bowl of it with some of their fresh, hot buttered bread. Yum!! (PS:#1 Elena deserves a raise. She was so much fun.
