Met a friend here for lunch after a very lengthy absence from this place. We were seated next to a real fireplace and had a very nice and knowledgeable waitress. Their popular item is the crab cake entree so each of us ordered it. The crab cake comes with broccoli and corn in a pepper based sauce. Along with the entree we were given bread and dipping sauce. The crab cake was very good as was the broccoli. The sauce the corn sat in was way to peppery for my taste and gave it a kick. I asked the waitress about this flavor. She told me that they use two kinds of pepper in that sauce. She kept my drink refreshed to adjust for the taste. For dessert we decided to split a peach cobbler with ice cream. I'm glad we did because that dessert was huge! It was so good and just enough so as not to be that filling. Andora sits on Mt. Nebo Rd near I-79 North. They have their own parking lot. It's a great place to have a sit down meal at reasonable prices for lunch. read more

Stopped in Andora for lunch recently. I had the Ahi Tuna Tacos. The Ahi Tuna was great and of quality. I thought the menu was fairly priced as well. I was disappointed in the slaw that was used to garnish the tacos. It was rather bland and didn't give much to the taco. Just seemed like a quick filler and not really thought out to compliment the dish. Service was quick as the waitress quickly grew too busy for the section she was covering. We got our just as she was seemingly in the weeds. She did a fantastic job staying with the pace of the room! I would return but will try something else on the menu. Went in again last night to enjoy the great new outdoor area and had a wonderful dinner. Andora is consistently great across the board, and last night was no exception. We experienced the best and worst of Andora at tonight's dinner. For the good, the food and service were very good, as they always are. We had a salad with crab cake and the spicy pasta. Less pleasant, the noise level is intolerable. However, unlike most loud restaurants, the excessive volume is not a result of the dining room acoustics, but the clientele. There are always large tables of loud men who appear to be finishing up a golf outing or some other event that included serious drinking. Tonight there was a table of eight such guys in our dining room. Adding to the cacophony was a table of 13 mature, to be charitable, women in the next room. Another irritant was the wine pricing. There is a very limited but adequate wine list. The two California Chardonnays were priced at $9 and $11 per glass. The bottle cost of the $9 wine was $36, 4 times the glass price, as it should be. We wanted a bottle of the better wine but the price was $52, way more than the expected price of $44, 4 times the glass price, so we settled for a glass! A good solution to the noise issue is to eat outside when the weather allows. read more

Always looks busy. Has an outdoor area so decided to meet friends for drinks. I suggest reservations since the outdoor is in demand. I have to eat Gluten free. That makes their menu challenging. Only one appetizer can be modified. Salads were fine. Tuesday's bottles of wine under $50 are half price. read more

I am so mad at myself for not trying this restaurant sooner! Went on a whim for the first time last week and already planning my next trip back. The hardest part will be not ordering exactly what I got last time! The zucchini appetizer is to die for (pictured) and I can't imagine anything could make it better. I got the chicken penne with pine nuts and spinach and it was everything I wanted. My friend got the trout special which also looked amazing. The waitress, who was amazing and so personable, didn't rush us at ALL and noticed we were celebrating my birthday so told us to pick a dessert. Monthly lunch. Disappointing. Zucchini rolls have changed and not for the better. Breading is hard, lumpy and gray sandy color. When served they don't even look appetizing. Nothing like previous ones. They tasted awful. The sauce was same color but was absolutely tasteless. The waitress brought the salads out and asked if we wanted a box and we said no and we asked what happened and the change. She said we have a new chef and we are going through a transition and it's been rough. She took them off the check. The salads were nothing to rave about. The Andoras dressing had no flavor to it. Salads weren't what they used to be. In addition to the new chef, there is a new Manager, new Assistant Manager, Host and Hostesses. When we arrived no one at desk. We waited a couple minutes before one of the servers came out to seat us. Lots of changes and not for the better. Hopefully the things get on par or they are going to lose customers. . read more

Have dined here so many times and it just keeps getting worse. Dined here last week outside. Decent crowd...I ordered one of the specials...short ribs...VERY VERY terrible...they are supposed to be moist and falling apart...not these...had to cut with a steak knife (sharp) to cut them. We love Andora! We have been here a few times. My husband's grandparents introduced us. It does gather an older crowd, but a crowd that appreciates good food. Tonight we had shrimp bisque and a beet salad to start. The bisque is delicious. We enjoyed the salad but agreed it could have used a bit more acidity in the dressing. For our mains we both shared the pork ribeye and the seared scallops. The pork is out of this world, it is so tender and full of flavor. The scallops were exceptionally cooked and accompanied with a delicious orange butter sauce. I have to say that I really appreciate that Andora's sides are just as good as the main proteins. They actually taste good and are not an after thought. We finished our night with an orange creme brulee and a warm brownie with ice cream alongside a cappuccino. All very good! I've been here before and The night we were visiting was a great warm evening for the patio. Took awhile 5+ minutes to get someone attention, mary who was busy. Ordered drink and the calimari app. The breading on the calamari was sooo salty. Entrees were ordered - I had the Chicken Al fresco, came out looking like a salad?? horrible plate presentation and the chicken was overdone and not that good.. Could hardly find the asparagus? She had the crab and shrimp Linguini. It was alright. Ended up leaving my ccard there bc the waitress took so long to pick up the check, I thought I had gotten it back. Not a good meal or service. Andora hosted my daughter's baby shower on Saturday. I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism and service we received. We could not have asked for anything better! Since covid, we are getting used to staff shortages and less than perfect service in many places that we go.... but we were just so pleased by EVERYTHING about our luncheon at Andora! Excellent food, attentive service, kind attention to a guest with severe celiacs disease, set-ups exactly as we had requested. The food is always delicious and cooked perfectly. The wait staff does and amazing job. Always welcomes you. We go there often and I try to taste new things but the chicken with pasta is a favorite along with the stuffed zucchini roll ups. I had my first visit to Andora this past week and I enjoyed the experience. We sat outside on their patio which was pretty spacious and a nice mix of sun/shade. Our waitress was quick to greet us and take our orders. I had a Grapefruit Paloma which was the perfect, refreshing cocktail to enjoy at the end of summer outdoors. We were there during that sweet spot between lunch and dinner, so we had both menus to choose from. I ordered the chicken salad on a croissant with fries and it was delicious. One of the better chicken salad's I've had! Our table also had ordered a steak salad that was a surprisingly large portion and a fish dish (I forget what) that looked pretty good as well. Their prices seemed expensive-ish for what the food was, but I didn't mind since it tasted so good! Everything seemed to be fresh and high quality. I had read that it was "fine dining" and "fancy" so I was worried about what to wear (we'd come straight from a distillery tour at McLaughlin's down the road) but jeans seemed to be acceptable. read more

We were visiting the Pittsburgh area and drove by this restaurant, saw the back patio and turned around. The parking lot was full that night so we figured that there must be a reason for that. We sat at the bar until a table on the patio opened up. I had a glass of their sangria. It was one of the best sangria's I have had (other than my own). Our server, Rebecca, was lovely and attentive. She brought out fresh hot bread with their house dipping oil. It was delicious and she cheerfully offered to bring us more when we finished it. The rest of our food came out quickly. We ordered the zucchini ribbons which is a house specialty (we can get calamari anywhere). They were very tasty and we really enjoyed them. My bf had the rib-eye which had a nice sear to it and was cooked perfectly to his liking. It was one of the best steaks we have had in a very long time. I had a craving for pasta. The spicy seafood pasta (which was just a little spicy) did the trick. We were too full for dessert. The restaurant has a homey comfortable feeling inside, if a little dated, but it is the huge back patio that is the standout. It's the perfect place to be on a warm summer night. I am sucker for those little string lights which were all over the patio. The landscape was also lovely and we felt like we were dining in a secret garden. We loved it and when we are back in the area again, we will surely return. read more

We stopped in to check this place out at lunch time on Sunday. We were greeted fairly quickly by the hostess who said he would be right with us. He returned fairly quickly to inquire if we had a reservation. We told him no, and he politely told us he could seat us. We were seated at a nice two person table by the fireplace, and handed dinner menus that were filthy. Mine was so dirty, I wanted to wash my hands immediately upon touching it. We noted on our way in many people were eating sandwiches of some type, and we didn't see any of the food we had observed on our menu. Jake our server showed up fairly quickly to take our drink orders. We asked him why there were no sandwiches on the menus we were given. He apologized for the mistake, and promptly brought us the lunch menu. We ordered shrimp bisque soup for both our appetizers. The bisque was good, but the shrimp seemed as if it was just dropped in right before serving as it had no flavor what so ever. There were three shrimp in each soup. None of which seemed to have any flavor of the soup. I ordered a dinner salad I was very happy with. My husband had the fish tacos. He enjoyed those very much. I almost forgot we did receive a complementary tray of hot bread and dipping sauce. We did really enjoy the bread and dipping sauce. Jake was a fine waiter during our meal. He checked back, and kept our glasses full. I noted that the wallpaper, carpet, and walls are in great need of attention. They need to do some spring cleaning, and some remodeling to this restaurant. Overall they have a great thing going for them, but they need to make some improvements. I happen to know they stand to have some substantial increase in business within the next few months and beyond. I think they will need to up their game to attract the future customers I am referring to. I hope they read Yelp reviews, and take my good advice to heart. A fresh overhaul of their restaurant will go a long way. Start with all the cobwebs around the ceiling of the dining rooms, and have someone pick up trash and clutter from the parking lot. This place has severely gone downhill! I've been coming for so many years, I can't even count. I went twice in the past month and they were awful to the point that I won't be back. Last time I got the scallops that came with risotto and asparagus. It came out completely cold so I sent it back, for it to come back cold again. On the third try they got it hot BUT they gave me the same scallops I had taken bites out of to test the temperature! The three teeny tiny scallops that were nearly $40. The risotto was amateur level and the zucchini ribbons were pretty tiny and burnt. The manager wouldn't even come out but the waitress said he was "aware". The bad time before that, I ordered a crab cake salad and I sent it back twice bc it was a mooshy mashed potatoes consistency (nothing like an actual crab cake) before I had them make me a new salad- which I had to ask to be removed from the bill. It also took FOREVER and it was just a salad at lunch, everyone was completely done eating by this point so I had to take it to go. Not to mention they charge you a decent amount to use a credit card without sharing that with you. They also just put it on the bill without asking if you're using a card or not. Waitresses were inexperienced and the menus were falling apart. I would not recommend. read more

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Our waitress, Shelly, knew the menu well and made us feel very welcome. We had surf and turf and the scallop-risotto. Perfectly prepared and artfully presented - a feast for the eye and tongue. The roasted beet salad was also good. I'd love to return to just eat the appetizers! We ate outside on the patio where the landscaping just enhanced our experience. We will keep this restaurant as our go to for our guests and for our special occasions. read more

I feel fortunate to live close by to this dining gem. Every time I've been here, the food has been really great, the service attentive, and the ambiance is elegant yet casual. It is definitely a local favorite and though not cheap, worth every penny. If you go for lunch try the Chicken piccata. It bursts with flavor and at a terrific price!! They have it on the dinner menu as well but of course it is pricier. When the weather is nice, their back patio is just beautiful and relaxing.
