We had reservations for a Mother's Day brunch at cornerstone. We were the first ones at the restaurant, seated by ourselves for a few minutes. We sat in the back room, which had a beautiful ceiling and lit tables. The bar area has a unique brick wall. There are tables out front for al fresco dining. There is a kids menu with the normal offerings like grilled cheese, but also includes a few specialties like a kid's salmon. The tables have linens but were also covered with paper - which the waitress suggested the kids color on it directly! They loved that, it was a giant canvas. It was a good experience. The service was friendly and accurate, but even the drinks were slow to come out. I'm not sure if there are better parking options, but everything we saw nearby was street/permit only. We used the metered lot about a block away, which was fine given the good weather, but I would be apprehensive if you have mobility concerns or snow/rain.

4/25/25 Ate List: Spicy Thai Coconut Curry Mussels - 8.6 This spot is great. Service, atmosphere, all wonderful. Feels quaint and homey. These mussels were a gamble, but a truly amazing one at that. SO SO good. Flavors were amazing, a little kick but not overwhelming. Perfectly balanced with the Mussels that weren't over cooked. Absolutley delicious. My cocktail - The White Lotus was quite tasty as well.

My friends and I came here on Wednesday night. It wasn't too crowded, but there were a few tables with people. Our waitress was really nice, however also extremely forgetful. We had to ask her for drinks multiple times before she finally remembered to bring it. As far as the food goes, my burger was good. I ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly medium. The fries were soggy though. One of my friends ordered the gnocchi and received pappardelle instead. The bus boy went to get our waitress, but she forgot to come over. We waited about 10 mins before we were able to get her attention from helping another table. The manager eventually came over to let us know that the menu had changed. He remedied the situation by heating up the meal and removing the charge. Overall, it was a very "meh" experience.

My husband, my son and I went to cornerstone for dinner last night. It was absolutely amazing. The food, the staff and being able to sit outside was really awesome. The food was fresh and you can tell the pasta homemade. My husband had a Pittsburgh ale and I had two dirty martinis. The martinis were perfect. I would've liked a stuffed Olive of instead, but that is just my preference! The Martini was absolutely perfect. My husband enjoyed his beer as well. We each had a dish. My husband had the Dr. Bob's burger, which is a hamburger with brisket and he said it was delicious. I had the cavatelli with cannellini beans, Frankie's hot sausage; this was so good and the portion is large! The food is really good. Hopefully next time I can stick around for dessert. But also a great menu. Definitely will be returning!

Came here with my mom for an afternoon brunch - booked on open table. I had the west coast Benny and my mom had the Niçoise salad. West Coast Benny was served with a side of fruit. However, per the menu the side should be home fries. Outdoor patio seating with a covered porch.

We got a gift card for Cornerstone, so we tried it for dinner tonight. It was a pleasant surprise. Although I am very focused on the Pittsburgh restaurant scene, I never heard of the place. It's a local bar/restaurant, nicely decorated, with a big bar and small dining room. The menu is hard to categorize, with a bunch of apps of various types, a good variety of entrees, and multiple sandwiches. We just had the duck confit steamed buns and a side of fries. We started with martinis followed by glasses of white wine. The by the glass list was diverse and fairly priced. We didn't look at it bottle list, if there was one. Overall a good experience but a long trip for us.

Brussels sprouts and lamb meatballs with pita
    Kristen E.

White-table cloth establishment for an upscale meal inside or outside. The food was good: one lamb burger (because the brisket wasn't available), the Brussels sprouts, and the lamb meatballs. I would have appreciated more of the spread, because otherwise the pita was warm but dry. I had enough food from the two appetizers for two meals. The cucumber gimlet was fine, but service was a little spotty, and our lunch took over an hour, although the restaurant was not particularly busy on a weekday.

Food was good. Portion was a joke. For $36 it was ridiculously overpriced. Sides were also very skimpy.

Upon entering we saw a "Happy Birthday" sign and were greeted by two lovely servers. A first bite was served while we waited for our cocktails . It was a chunk of very sweet watermelon on a wooden coaster. Next came some delicious bread with a leek butter. My daughter added the 4 shot cocktails to our experience and they were fun! Jell-O shots elevated quite a bit. Our appetizer was chef's choice which was burrata with grilled eggplant, peaches, greens and baguette. All so good! We enjoyed some extra cocktails from the menu, a blackberry mojito and a white Negroni with the appetizer. Then the entrees came along. I got the wild mushroom ravioli and she got the Faroe Islands salmon. This was the only part of the meal you had a choice in and you have to advise them ahead of time what you would like to eat as the main course. The final course was a creme brûlée serves in a 4 ounce mason jar. All in all, excellent quality of food and service with reasonable portions. We did not leave hungry. The screened in dining pod itself was very comfortable. It was a pleasant summer day so we did not need the fan or the heater which was available. They are nestled in the woods and sunshine peeks through the trees for a most serene dining experience. I commented that even if it were raining, you would be comfortable due to the design of the pods. There is a wide overhang so the rain wouldn't bother you coming in through the screens. If you are looking for a unique way to celebrate or just want to feel one with nature, this is an excellent option to consider. I highly recommend trying one out!

I chose the grilled ahi tuna with herb polenta, pineapple relish and veggies. Day of parking was a breeze. There is so much of it. Staff was incredibly helpful navigating where we needed to be. Our servers were so great at explaining all the dishes to us. A welcome plate is provided with some bites the chef wants you to try. For the first course I chose the shrimp skewer, biggest shrimp I've ordered out. The spring salad was delicious, I loved the vinaigrette. Next was the papparella pasta was sooooo good. Only complaint is wish I had more. My main that I chose earlier that week the ahi tuna was incredible. Such a big piece and much more food than I was expecting. For dessert the creme brûlée and some truffles. I loved looking around at the art work and design of the home. It is such a cool place. Looking out into the woods was like a fairy tale. Will absolutely have to be back to experience sitting in a pod.

The waitress was really nice and said one table was leaving soon and she put some tables together for my large group. She was pretty attentive for serving almost the whole bar alone. My mom and I split the burger and mesquite butter wings I think they could've been a little more saucy, I didn't mention anything, but I'm sure she would've brought me more. If I asked. I heard a lot of good things about the ranch and it was good once I really really tasted it. I didn't find it that flavorful off the top but once I really tasted it, it did have good flavor. Maybe this was a fresh batch that needed to sit. My dad got the buffalo chicken eggrolls. They were good, but we didn't realize it would just be chicken dip in the eggroll wrapper We were expecting shredded chicken with hot sauce and cheese or something similar. I came to celebrate my granddad's birthday just to try something new and he generally likes bar food. He enjoyed it as we sang happy birthday to him. The other patrons and the waitstaff also joined in and someone even offered to buy him a drink. this is a really nice bar if you're looking for good food , good vibes and nice people.

The whole thing was the most unique and best time I have ever experienced dining. The art decor, the music, the dish names, the staff, the pink tree house and frisbee golf outside, the random wu tang clan symbols. This is a memory I will never forget I wouldn't not recommend anything we got The Apps: The brie charcuterie board. That house made strawberry jalapeño jam. I wish they sold it by the jar. Naan bombs. Cajun perfection on the shrimp over the guac and pico with that balsamic glaze. Pork Cheek Tacos. FAT AS FUCK not skimping on filling with the meat. One of the best prepared meats I've ever had and arguably the best taco I've ever had DUCK FUCKING WONTONS. Wonton my ass it was more like a mini empanada but dear fucking lord.
