I took my car to a shop in Watertown and described to the mechanic that I had an oil leak in the car and also my transmission was acting out. The mechanic took a whole 30 seconds to get inside the car and his diagnostic was that the transmission was blown and quoted the repair in $2,800.00 I had my car towed to Andrade's shop for a second opinion. He replaced 2 transmission lines and $130 later my car was back on the road. I've seen foreign and domestic cars at the shop and happy customers walking out of there. # Terrible Customer Service - Avoid This Place **1 out of 5 stars** I had the worst experience at Andrade Auto Repair in Everett, MA today. Arrived at 5:00 PM and immediately got off to a bad start when they made me move my car around without explanation. The employees were completely unhelpful - when I asked about getting four tires done, they dismissed me saying they "don't have time" even though there were two people working on tires and another just moving inventory around instead of helping customers. When I went inside to speak with the owner about the poor service, his attitude was absolutely horrible. He's clearly not cut out to be a businessman. Without even knowing what transpired outside (since he was in his office the whole time), he told me I need to "be nice to his employees" if I want help. He had no idea what his staff had said to me or how they treated me. The final straw was when I simply asked an employee to check if they had my tire size in stock so I could potentially come back the next day - and was told "I don't even have time to check." Completely unprofessional from top to bottom. The owner has terrible management skills and clearly doesn't care about customer service. His employees follow his lead with their dismissive attitudes. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else for tires. This is the worst tire shop I've ever encountered. I went on Tuesday at 10am to get my breaks done & I already have the parts. they told me come back at 8am cause they book fast. so I came Friday at 8:30am. they couldn't do my breaks because they were at capacity for the day. Came here after comparing other mechanic prices. This place helped me the same morning I called. ALSO did not get discouraged I brought in my own parts. MOST places ive been been too have made a fuss. Very fair price. Also mechanic took care of my car like it was his own. I was able to leave my car over night and he went out of his way to go to the VW dealer to get me more stuff i needed. They even double checked from that last mechanic told me something else from another place. Saved me money from not installing parts i did not need. Build a good relationship with these guys they are super laid back and talk to you like a normal person also put in his recommendations. No rush on anything. I always have had a good experience here. So far they have fixed tires, put on new tires, helped me with the motor to my windshield and a few other things. I have yet to (knock on wood) need any major repair so I can't speak to that and hope I don't, but the guys are nice/fast/and by all signs, honest to deal with. I would recommend them. Location can be tricky if you are headed East on 16-the key is to work your way over to the left lane and go up 3 intersections where you can make a U-turn. Not much of a waiting room so if it's a long job make a plan to take Uber home, work or cafe. You can kill a half hour or so eating some fast food within a few blocks or go to Richie's Slush across the road. read more

We took our flat tire to this shop based on the recommendation of a Pep Boy representative. When we got there they immediately asked us our issue and got to work on patching up our tire. DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE ON YOUR CAR AT THIS PLACE!!!!! After making me wait 4 hours (they told me it would be an hour then continually told me after my 2 hour wait, "just a few more minutes...just a few more minutes, almost done", they cracked my windshield in 2 places and tried claiming I brought the car in like that! They did a shoddy job - my drivers side car mat was covered in grease, there are screws missing from where they took my car apart, and now I have to deal with getting a new windshield. The mechanic managed to "disappear" when I wanted to speak with him about these issues. I will be speaking to their insurance company about this. Today I broke down in front of Andrade Auto Repair Shop and the men from that shop came over to rescue me from the irate drivers on the parkway honking their horns. They pushed me over to the shop and looked for my problem. The mechanic Selvin told me it was a cv axel that broke. He didn't have it in stock but would be able to get it for me and fix it within 2 hours. He was so accommodating and professional and made a stressful situation so much easier. 100 stars! I am very happy I found this place. I stopped here 6 months ago spontaneously to get my inspection. They are all a pleasant group. The young man is soft-spoken,fair,honest, nice, polite,not animated, and professional. God-willing it will remain this way. I was impressed with the customer service and the seriousness of the situation. The young man speaks quietly,calmy,slowly, and appropriately. When he talks, he listens thoroughly and thinks before he speaks. When you make a statement, he will reply back with an appropriate well-thought out remark. This is rare among mechanics and especially in a lot of people.. Additionally, he is the most knowledgeable mechanic I have met. I recently went for an oil change. He checked my car. He approached me very calmy and said all you need is a bearing. Furthermore, the young man nicely suggested for me to get a bearing replaced "soon" as opposed to "right this second" which a lot of greedy mechanics will proclaim. Unfortunately, I neglected to fix the bearing. So when the problem errupted, I took it to a place in Somerville close to me because that was all I could do.They charged me $925 for something I did not need and they did not fix the bearing. I took the car to the young man after my car had been repaired; showed him receipt; and he told me all I needed was the bearing. He reminded me he had told me about bearing when he changed my oil. I told him I had forgotten. He spoke slowly, softly, considerately and was not condescending at all. Excellent communication skills. It is uncommon to find such simple interaction. Wipers there are $10. If your car is an older model, an oil change is $20. The place in Somerville(which I do not want to name) charges $20 for wipers and $30 for an oil change. Another gas station on Broadway in Everett charges $25 for wipers. I do not know name. It's across from dry cleaners. I highly recommend Parkway Getty Auto Repair. A mechanic like this is unfounded. I hope I remain living in this area for a long time. Having reliability, dependability, and consistency like this, makes my life so much easier. 20 lovely stars for this young man! read more
