I am forever thankful for Dr.Poliakin and her staff- I feel so fortunate they were there (and…read morebelieved me) in my time of need. Cliffnotes version: -Go to ER at 1am for abdominal pain. Ultrasound confirms gallstones and liver enzymes are slightly elevated. They send me home with a referral to follow up with a general surgeon and painkillers. - Next day: call referral for general surgeon (Dr.Andrew Luckey) who doesn't see outpatient so was a bit confused- he only sees you if you had surgery in the hospital. The next opening they had was in a week but they were going to try and squeeze me in. They did call me back and were able to get me an appt however I was already on the way back to the ER because I didn't feel I could make it a week. -ER round 2- get a dragon of a NP who says they aren't going to admit me for surgery, tells me that's not what I want nor are they going to rerun my labs since I was just there- best she could do is order an CT so I said okay and sat down.Hours go by and it becomes clear to me even with a CT I'm not going to get help here and my only shot at getting support was the surgery referral. Called Dr. Poliakin's office back, tell them the situation, they told me to come over and they will fit me in. Met Dr. Poliakin, she educated me very clearly about what was likely going on, laid out all the options includingthe option to get on her surgery schedule that day. I was terrified but I trusted her completely after meeting her and felt safe in her care. She called the ER and told them to rerun my labs and admit me and thank goodness she did. The labs were 5x what they were and I was on my way to developing jaundice. Got admitted and things moved quite quickly after that. As someone who's never had surgery (aside from dental) in her life, I was absolutely terrified going into this and some tears were shed. While I was in pre-op I got to meet my OR Nurse, anesthesiologist and see Dr. Poliakin again to talk about the developments from the blood work. I had an all female team which felt pretty badass . Dr. Poliakin again was super upfront, educational, straight forward, and compassionate. I knew going into this there was no one else's care I'd rather have been in and went into that OR more relaxed than I ever would have expected possible from myself. I'm now five days post surgery, doing well and I shutter to think what could've happened if it wasn't for Dr. Poliakin and her staff. I wish there were words to convey how thankful I am but thank you just doesn't really cut it. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing general surgery and you're reading this review trying to find some reassurance- just know you're in the best hands and she will take amazing care of you.

I knew right away it was more than just a sprain, but I continued playing on it for two years. Over time, the pain became unbearable. I started to believe I'd have to live with it permanently, which took a serious toll on me mentally. Finding the right specialist felt uncertain, and I was skeptical anyone could truly fix it. That changed when I met Dr. Randall. I had surgery, and just six weeks post-op, the pain that I lived with for years is gone. For the first time in a long time, it feels like I'm not going to deal with that pain again. I'm extremely grateful. Dr. Randall gave me my quality of life back. G-d bless her--she's an exceptional physician who saved me from a lot of long-term pain and suffering. Thank you.

We started this process on March 2 after being told that our young son would need approximately six…read moremonths of treatment. Five months later, that treatment still hasn't even begun. At the first appointment, the doctor examined my son, prescribed physical therapy, and ordered a custom nighttime brace to keep his feet at a 90-degree angle while sleeping. The problems started immediately. We were initially double-charged for the office visit, and it took more than a month to correct the billing error. We were also told our insurance would cover a significant portion of the brace, but after the order was placed, we were informed that a staff member had made a mistake and failed to account for our deductible, leaving us responsible for the full amount. A few days after my son's feet were scanned, the office called to say they had lost the scans and we had to come back for another appointment. After the second scan, they called again to ask whether the brace was supposed to be for one foot or both. The doctor also prescribed physical therapy. I contacted numerous pediatric physical therapy providers, but none accepted children my son's age. When I asked the office for guidance, I was told the doctor would recommend another provider. That never happened. After waiting another month, we finally received what was supposed to be the custom nighttime brace. It wasn't. It looked like a simple shoe brace with no straps to hold my son's feet in the prescribed position. When I called and went for another visit, the doctor initially tried to convince me that this was actually better than the brace she had prescribed. Only after I insisted did they agree to remake it. Then came weeks of delays and conflicting information. Every time we called, we were given a different explanation. One person said we had already picked it up. Another said it had been sent back for correction. Then we were promised it would be ready the following week. None of those promises were kept. By this point, we had lost confidence and sought a second opinion from another pediatric orthopedic specialist. After examining my son, that specialist told us that, in their medical opinion, he did not need either the prescribed physical therapy or the brace. Finally, after more than FIVE MONTHS, we picked up what was supposed to be the corrected custom brace. The doctor didn't even come into the room to check the fit or examine my son. We were simply handed the device and sent home. When we got home, we discovered something that perfectly summed up our entire experience. Both braces were made for the RIGHT foot. Not one for the left and one for the right. Two right-foot braces. After five months of delays, repeated mistakes, conflicting explanations, and a device that was not usable, we ultimately chose to stop the process. We were told that a partial refund could be issued, and we received back approximately half of the amount we had paid. Even with that refund, the experience left us without a usable brace and with months of our son's treatment time lost. ***Update after the doctor's response*** The doctor's response still does not address my main concerns. My son was not supposed to receive an AFO in the first place. We specifically chose a nighttime brace because he attends preschool and we did not want his walking or play to be affected unless absolutely necessary. If the final solution was simply an off-the-shelf night splint with no right or left side, why were my son's feet scanned and why was I charged $550 for what was presented as a custom orthotic? I also find it disappointing that the response emphasizes how the staff "worked tirelessly." They spent that time correcting their own repeated mistakes. Fixing those mistakes was part of their professional responsibility, not a favor to my family. What is still missing is a simple acknowledgment and apology. P.S. Despite receiving a partial refund, I was still charged over $200 for a device that appears to be a generic night splint available for around $15 at Walmart. I'm an 80 year-old woman that went to him last year because I had a fungus in my large toe. He prescribed a paint on prescription for my toe which was worthless and I ordered from Amazon, which worked so much better and it took about seven months but it's all gone. That's really not the really reason for this bad review at the time he told me he could trim my toenails and Medicare would pay for it every two months so I did go back another time two months later for another nail trim then in January I got a bill for $73.56 so I called and was advised that Medicare did not cover the nail trim even though I was told even though I told them that the doctor had told me that Medicare did cover it so I went on bill pay on my bank account and set up a $20 a month auto pay my mistake thinking that I would get another statement from the doctor when I finally got another statement it showed that I owed $33.56 so I paid another $20 and then another $13.56 then just recently, I got another statement from the doctor that showed I as of 7/27/26 and I still owed them 20 more dollars which made me go to my bank account to see just how much I had already paid them. I paid them to this date $133.56. Needless to say I made a phone call to the doctor's office and they told me that the records didn't reflect that I had to bring in into the office my records to show them so she made copies of my records and she said she would let me know poor customer service

In just eight months with Reid, my son made more progress than he had in seven years with other therapists. It seemed like the perfect place - no pain, great service, kind people - so even though it was very far from my home in Moreno Valley, I asked my husband and kids for a Groupon from Laser Creations for my birthday. When I called to set up the appointment, they were very kind and professional. I was nervous about going, so I looked up the driving directions the night before and saw it would take 1.5 hours to get there. I asked my friend to drive me (I've been on some medication that makes me dizzy and driving so far on my own wasn't a good idea) and she picked me up 2 hours before my appointment. As we drove, my heart sank because the traffic was terrible and the driving directions kept adding time to our arrival. I also had to stop to use the bathroom because my bladder isn't the same after having four kids. :( When we stopped, I called Laser Creations and left a message about my potential late arrival (at that time it was showing we'd be 6 min late). We got closer, but the traffic was terrible. We were finally around the corner, but were stopped at the train tracks. I called again so they would know I didn't just skip out on the appointment (it was 20 min after my appointment at that time) and I could tell they were frustrated by my lateness by the way they responded. They told me the numbing cream they'd be using for the skin tags needed 30 minutes to be effective, and I was "cutting into that time" by being late. When I hung up, I told my friend I would likely need to reschedule because of how late it was and apologized that she'd driven me all that way for nothing. When we arrived, it took me a minute to find the door, and when I tried it, it wouldn't open. I don't know if it's because it was heavy, or if I pulled/pushed the wrong way, but I couldn't get it to open, so I called again. They sounded upset that I couldn't figure it out and sent someone to fetch me from the elevator lobby. She rather sarcastically and dramatically gestured at the door as if I was stupid and hadn't seen it there. I said "Yes, ma'am, I did try that door but I couldn't get it to open, I don't know why." She huffed and led me quickly through the hallway, straight past the reception area and into a treatment room. I apologized for being late, trying to explain what had happened, but she spoke over me and said the timing for the numbing cream to work had passed and I wouldn't get the effect of it. Then she asked how many tags I'd wanted removed, even though I'd established that when I set up the appointment, and then frustratedly called to the other woman with how many I needed done as if I was a burden. I was crying by this point because I literally have never felt so under attack by strangers before. They both said something about why should I be crying, they're fun, nice people, I should see their reviews online. And I tried to say "Yes, that's why I picked you and drove so far because your reviews looked amazing" but they kept talking over me, lecturing me about having to make other customers wait because of my tardiness. When I finally was able to speak to tell them that I wasn't expecting special consideration and that I'd planned to ask to reschedule, but they'd rushed me in here and then lectured me and scolded me for crying, they seemed to backpedal and said they'd be happy to reschedule me. At that point, I said I didn't feel comfortable getting services done there and wanted a refund. Then I left. I was crying in the car, trying to explain to my friend what had gone on when one of the ladies came out of the building and just stood there. I wondered why she couldn't let me just cry in peace, and my friend took offense on my behalf and calmly went over and told the lady that it wasn't good to treat people that way and that we'd already felt badly about being late and wanted to reschedule and they didn't need to be rude to me. She told my friend "You weren't in the room, you don't know what was said." To which my friend replied, "Are you calling my friend a liar then?" She again backpedaled and said they'd be happy to reschedule me, but my friend politely said we'd not be coming back here. I think this all could have been professionally and politely handled if they had just kindly introduced themselves when I arrived (neither introduced themselves to me or welcomed me to the clinic) and said "Usually when people arrive this late, we recommend rescheduling so the numbing cream can work effectively and make it all a smoother experience." or even just waited for me to make that suggestion myself. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. From all their reviews, it looks like my experience here could have been amazing and I am sorry I didn't get to have that. I just want others to be aware that it doesn't always go that route.
