When my former dentist retired and I found out a new dentist had taken his patients over....I admit I was a little unhappy. But then I met Dr. Goldenberg and I started Snoopy dancing around town. He's amazing and the funny thing is, his father was my dentist when I lived in Ventura. Dr. Goldenberg is awesome. I see him every six months and each time he remembers who I am and little specifics about me. He never seems rushed, he is always happy and smiley and just gives off a wonderful feeling of genuine warmth. His staff is just as friendly. If you're looking for a new dentist - look no further. Finally a dentist I can trust and I will go back to him for future cleanings. I've honestly never had a good dentist experience until now. I came here feeling some pain in my lower back teeth but I wasn't sure where exactly the pain was coming from. He did a quick check and brushed some air up in there and found my problem area. He ran X-rays that took less than 10 mins and was able to show me my problem tooth. I had one tooth causing me the pain but he said I can replace the fillings on them both or just that one it was up to me. So I got two of my silver fillings replaced with the white fillings and it did'n't hurt at all. He was very careful and good with the numbing gel and placing the shots in my mouth. Which has never in all my years of going to dentist have I been able to walk away saying...."That didn't hurt." I even stopped going to dentist for the last 5 years because it was just more pain after the visit than before. He's very communicative while working in my mouth making sure I was comfortable and doing okay and for once I wasn't drowning in my saliva as I have experienced every where. The staff working here is very kind and friendly, you get a nice family feel to the place. In my last two visits there was no crowd of people waiting in the room either, the appointments are set so you are not having to wait. Just left Dr. Goldenberg's office, from an appointment for two fillings... one of which was pretty bad. Not only was Dr. Goldenberg great at explaining the process he was going through, but I literally didn't feel a pain at any moment through the process. I had a day off and was at another doctor appointment across the road from Dr. Goldenberg's office. I called over last minute to see if I could get my teeth cleaned and checked that day. The front desk worked me in with Dr. Weiss and I am so glad that they did! Not only was I able to get my teeth taken care of, but I met the nicest office staff and the nicest dentist and will definitely be returning for all future visits. I really hate going to the dentist and after my last dentist retired I found it hard to find someone I would like. Over the last three years my family and I have gone to four different dentists. We really hated them all. Some tried to sell you teeth cleaning before you even sat down, and we felt like we were in a swap meet. The last dentist I went to said I had to have two cavities replaced and even with insurance the cost would be about $500.00. I told Dr. Goldenberg that I thought I had two cavities that needed to be replaced. After he looked at the x rays he said there was no reason to spend money on that now, but instead lets keep an eye on them, and if they get worse we can fix it, but if they stay the same, there is no need to spend the money. OK Brownie point for the Doctor. A Dr. who wants to NOT take my money, I like that. I picked Dr Goldenberg, simply because he was on my dental plan, and two reviews on Yelp were positive. I was very impressed and I will now send my family to see him. I was greeted by a smiling receptionist who had all my paperwork ready to fill out. As soon as that was done I was taken into the room, and had my ex rays taken. As soon as those were finished Dr Goldenberg came into the room with his dental hygenist, and they both introduced themselves. I was waiting for the hygenist to start my teeth cleaning but instead Dr. Goldenberg did it. I learned that he started as a hygenist, before graduating from Dental School. I was kind of surprised that the dentist took such personal care of me. and was very personable and telling me step by step what was happening. I was in an out within an hour with no wait. Gotta love it. The only problem I had was that every time I wanted to talk, he had his fingers in my mouth, doing my cleaning. Oh well that is what dentists are suppose to do. After he finished, he showed me the x rays, and talked about why the last dentist wanted to re fill two cavities, and why it was not necessary at this time. This review is coming from a person very fearful of any sort of dental treatment due to some very bad experiences with other dentists. So fearful that I even felt anxious making a call for an appointment with Dr. Goldenberg. It had been years since I'd seen a dentist. The sweet lady who answered the phone was completely understanding and empathetic and arranged an appointment for me right away. When I arrived at the office I was terrified even just for a consultation. Dr. Goldenberg and his staff were warm and understanding and made me feel completely comfortable. They took pictures and xrays and then Dr. Goldenberg very kindly and gently explained to me what he felt the most important next steps should be to take care of my dental issues. Today was my second appointment where the first part of the dental work was done. Again the staff were all warm and welcoming. I sat in a chair with heat and massage and put my headphones in with soothing music. Dr. Goldenberg gently explained everything he was going to do beforehand and made sure I was completely comfortable the whole time. I had no pain and was the most at ease I have ever been in a dental chair.....ever. The absolute best thing about this office is that they care and respect their patients. Even the scaredy-cat patients like me. I never felt shamed or judged for one moment. They are only concerned about helping to improve people's dental health and smile and making them feel comfortable all the while. I never thought I'd say this but I'm looking forward to getting my long overdue dental work done now because I have found a dentist and staff who really know how to do things in a loving and caring way. Dr.Goldenberg is awesome. I've been way of dentists because I feel like there are always trying to sell you on one procedure or another. Sometimes even asking them a question about services like teeth whitening or straightening will have them convincing about an offer that will end tomorrow. Dr.Goldenberg is an exception. I have been going to him for just about 3 years and never once has he pushed me into buying anything. He will do my routine checkup and makes sure to sign me up for my next. Even my husband, who hates dental offices, feels comfortable with Dr.Goldenberg. Dr.Goldenberg will even remind me to matter sure my husbands coming in for his regular visits. I went to Dr. Goldenberg for a second opinion and will now use his office exclusively. In a dental office, I look for cleanliness, organization, a warm and approachable staff, and a dentist who makes me feel safe and comfortable. Dr. G is very down to earth, spoke to me on my level, and was concerned about preventative care, as much as what I needed in the moment. He gave me a print-out of my teeth so that I could plan ahead for future work that may be needed. Besides being totally professional, he was fun and funny, too, which is awesome. Dr. Goldenberg is a great dentist. We found him on Yelp after recently moving back to this area and he lived up to the 5 star reviews. He's the only dentist I've ever seen that is on time and actually concerned with having his patients not wait around forever. I've been to dentists in the past where you wait 45 mins to go back, then they numb you and leave to deal with 5 other patients, return 20 mins later, etc...and by the time it's done it's been 3 hrs. Dr. Goldenberg is on time and does the work efficiently, explains each step, and goes out of his way to ensure you're comfortable. The office staff too is great. Love Dr. Goldenburg! I have been to many different dentists and he not only the most gentle but he makes you feel comfortable and had a good sense of humor. I had to have a tooth pulled and he did it in less than 15 minutes where my last dentist took almost an hour. I was overdue for a dental cleaning and because it had been longer than 6 months since my last one, I was nervous at how bad it was going to hurt. Five stars isn't enough to give to this wonder dental team! Let me tell you my story. I am from Maryland and I was in So Cal on a business when I developed a severe toothache. I was heading from LA to Santa Barbra and had a friend who lived in Thousand Oaks. I called him and he not only recommended Andrew Goldenberg DDS but actually made an appointment for me with Dr Jared Weiss. After a brief conversation to get all my vitals, insurance, etc, I made the trek over from Anaheim. After a warm greeting and some paperwork I met the dental team. Super friendly, gentle and professional. After some diagnostics Dr Weiss determined I had a dying tooth and that I needed a root canal. They made me comfortable, plenty of numbing and explained every step. With my luck it turned out this root canal was a challenge! The whole team stayed after closing! Dr Weiss even missed a DR's appointment of his own to treat me! When we were done they sent me off with a bag of heavy duty Motrin and a script for antibiotics. Dr Weiss gave me his personal cell # and texted before I got to Santa Barbra! Over the next three days I received follow up calls and texts asking how I was. They even sent the xrays to my dentist here on the east coast. To sum it all up, they went out of their way to help. I don't know why everyone in TO isn't using them! The entire experience was top-notch from the time I made my first call until the end and I was given an appointment the very next day. He carefully analyzed and explained the x-rays I brought in and took the time to make sure that he answered every single one of my questions and concerns and confirmed that I was in good hands with the specialist. I recently needed to have a tooth pulled that was causing incredible discomfort. Problem was -my dentist was on vacation and wouldn't be back for two weeks. I began my search for a new one and came across a bunch of great reviews for Dr. Goldenberg. I decided to call. Another problem with my situation was that I had to travel in two days and had to get the tooth taken care of before I left town. I decided to give them a call. I am SO GLAD I DID. The front desk team could not have been more caring and professional. They were determined to get me in ASAP. They set an appointment before I left town but, then called me a few hours later and managed to get me in the next day after his last patient! Dr. Goldenberg turned out to be one of the best dentists I've ever been to. Smart, warm and professional. He deftly removed a broken molar (no easy task) without shattering the tooth and causing the need to dig it out - which I was bracing for. And he removed it completely pain-free.
