Andrew's work and his shoots are amazing. For one thing, I'm extremely uncomfortable in front of a camera and Andrew was able to get me to laugh and not be so stiff and awkward. I always dread taking photos, but he really makes me feel comfortable and confident. He's shot me many times and he's really my go-to photographer. We just had our family picture taken by Andrew and we had a great experience! First of all, he was so easy to communicate with. He responded to my emails and questions very quickly and was very clear about giving us directions to the beautiful location he choose in Mt. Baldy. I have three kids ranging in age from 8-13. Posing for pictures is not their thing. As a matter of fact they hate it. Therefore, the last time we had our picture taken was almost 6 years ago. Well, it was a totally different experience with Andrew and his assistant. Andrew created a very relax atmosphere that was also fun for the kids. They were able to move around, laugh, and just be themselves. He connected with all of us by making us laugh and occasionally even making us yell at the top of our lungs. It was such a good experience that my oldest son commented on our way back home that perhaps he might like being a photographer someday. Our pictures were very natural and beautiful. I really appreciated the fact the Andrew was more interested in capturing moments instead of having us posse every step of the photo shoot. I contacted Andrew about taking a professional portrait about 2 years ago. You know, the one where I wear a suit top, and green sweat pants bottom, and pretend to be really really professional. The photographer takes a bunch of photos, and I pick one or two, and they email them to me. Done. The whole affair takes less than 30 minutes with chatting included, but most photographers wanted more than 100, many wanted more than 200 .... seriously???????!! I respect creative professionals' work. However, 30 minutes of work for 100, or 200 without any travel seems excessive. Doctors get paid less than that. Anyways, Andrew quoted me a price where I felt is reasonable. He is pleasant to work with. It turned out nicely, natural, happy looking, lively, but professional as well. I used that picture to apply to professional schools, and my mom hangs it in her office. A bunch of people wanted my phone number after seeing it in her office.....My mom was a little weirded out about that. Andrew makes you look prettier than you really are. read more
