Andy photographed our 100+ person Halloween costume dance party and I could not be happier! The photos were delivered on time, and each one is high quality, perfect lighting, and captured so many amazing expressions and dance moves, which is really hard to do in a dark room, with disco lights, and 100 moving bodies! We hired Andy for our daughter's first birthday. We celebrated indoors mostly with dinner served outside in the back yard. The pictures for both indoor and outdoor turned out to be really amazing. We received the pictures a day after the event. The turn around time was quick. We had an issue with the memory card while we were half the way in the party. Like everyone else I come from tech era as well and it was no one's mistake here that the memory card with the best memories suddenly decided not to work. So we didn't waste time and went on with the party with some re created moments. But luckily one of my friends had a recovery software and we were able to recover all the photos. And the memories stayed intact. We just stayed calm and patient throughout. As we knew there is only a certain limit we can play with technology. Andy was perfect on time to the event. And got his gear and set it up and was ready on time. In the end we also took portraits of our couple friends as well. Andy was amazing to work with. It's all in collaboration and how we think and proceed ahead with obstacles makes a good team. More than getting a photographer. I feel my responsibility to post my review here because I hired Andy only after reading the reviews on Yelp. Here is my review: +1 star for photo quality +1 star for professionalism as I asked Andy not to use our pictures for his website or any other publicity and he agreed. However, he wasn't able to plan the pictures for the event for which we hired him. The event was a small meet and greet for my 3 month old with close friends. I wanted my baby's pictures with the guests because it was his event but Andy clicked only 46 out of 148 pictures for my baby. Some of them in which I can't even see my baby's face. I have so many pictures of my guests on their own, it seems as if I paid for a photo shoot for some of my guests.(I recounted and there were only 20 adults including me and my husband). I thought 1 hour would be enough to click pictures of a small group of people. It was not a big event but i wanted some good memories of my baby's first party so I wanted professional photos. I have alone pictures of my guests' kids and babies in stroller but no alone pictures of my baby- for whom the party was planned. In the end I had to ask Andy to click pictures of me-with my baby and also a picture of my husband, my baby and me (I am glad because those are the only useful pictures I got it of the package-atleast I have some thing now though I could have gone to a studio and got those). He didn't click any group pictures, which we had to click with cell phones after he left. I am very disappointed with how the pictures were taken, didn't serve the purpose at all. None of the pictures taken will make a good print for my baby's wall as his first party's memory. Some of the pictures are so random that it seems like they were taken to increase the count of pictures. Update: We hired Andy mentioning that the event is meet and greet for my 3 month old. Of course I want my baby's pictures! Two other kids in our party were about 3 month old too, I have their pictures in the stroller and otherwise too with their faces visible. In the past, I have had photographers plan the group pictures like all kids, adults, etc. I believe that is the job of the photographer to do, didn't know I had to state that. read more

Our company enlisted Andy to help with a professional employee photo shoot. He took lots of photos in a variety of locations and poses, so there was a large choice of quality photos to choose from. In January 2015, I found a professional photographer, Andy Sun, online. I called the phone #, listed on the web site, and there's no answer. I left a voice message and wrote an email to him, just wanted to make sure my message would be delivered and I would get replied ASAP. After 2 or 3 hours of waiting, I got an email from Andy. He apologized for the delay as he was in a photography workshop, or something like that. He asked for more detail information for my needs due to a price quote request from my original message. After few email communication, I decided to hire him for my daughter's birthday party. A 10% non-refundable deposit was requested and required to pay for booking and reservation. I had paid up to 25% deposit for service reservation in the past so there's no problem to me at all. On the party day, Andy showed up early as promised. Casual, clean clothes, polite and professional gears were my first impression. We (my husband and I) were busy on taking care of the kids and chatting with other parents so I didn't pay too much of attention to Andy's work at all time. Although the official party was taken place at the backyard, 16 kids were actually playing around my kitchen, living room, dining room and even on the 2nd floor. It was a do-whatever-you-want situation if you know what I mean. When the party was ended after 2 hours, I paid the photo session fee and couldn't wait to see the result. Andy told me he would have to post process the photos and have the results ready within 24 hours. I was totally fine with that because I had waited much long time before. On the next day, in the morning, I received a text message from Andy asking me to schedule a meeting with him to check up on the photos. We chose to meet up at a Starbucks and he showed the photos on his tablet, for me to choose the ones I like. I was very happy to see the results because I got to see so many scenes, angles, happy faces that I missed from the party. Also, the images are beautiful and sharp, the colors are rich and gorgeous which I could not get the same result from my iPhone 6 plus. I paid extra to obtain 140 digital photos and photo rights as a result. If you were me and saw the photos, you would know it's totally worth it! And you probably would purchase more. It's not that Andy doesn't deliver decent photos but I like to use different photographers to see different styles and results instead. Therefore, I may not use Andy's service again in the future. However, if you are looking for a professional photographer for parties or events, I highly recommend Andy Sun's services to you. I know he takes awesome headshot and portrait, too. For the same or similar results of headshot and portrait photos, I paid about 2 times higher to another professional photographer 14 months ago, than what Andy quoted me. read more
