I have always been a huge fan of Andy's and is my go to ice cream spot. However the last two times I went have been extremely difficult. I was handed a cup of ice cream with it dripping all down the cup, which the young lady then spilled all over the side of my car and inside the door and stated a simple oh sorry. No concern with the fact there was icream all over the inside and outside of my door. Didn't offer more napkins. zero effort to help the mess that she made. The second time another young lady got my order extremely wrong. we politely expressed it was wrong and she took the correct order again, no issues. I requested extra strawberry in something that already came with regular amount of strawberry to then get one small piece in the entire cup. by no means is any of this life or death however in service regards it is something to make note of these issues keep happening only at this location. After our walk around Lakeshore Park, we were in the mood for some ice cream! Since Andy's was only a few minutes away, we decided to try it out. This was our first visit to Andy's in Knoxville, TN and I've only been to an Andy's one other time. My husband ordered the Double Chocolate Malt, I had the Strawberry Shortcake, and my pup had a Vanilla Pup Cup. Everything was super delicious and both my guys devoured their desserts. My only negative is that there is limited parking which is hard to back out since the drive-thru is constantly busy. read more

What I miss the most about Virginia Beach was the frozen custard. My friend brought me here and I areally wanted the black raspberry chocolate. But they only have it in pint size. So I got the triple chocolate. It was soooo good. It could have had more cookie dough peices. But it was super rich; I saved half of it for the next day. Very good. read more

Great location and so much to choose from their menu. You can get a pint of your favorite to take home. Your kids can watch the custard coming out of the machines as it's made. I really love the options you have for flavors and Sundaes. Only been here a couple of times since it's open but will surely be a regular here. read more

I am amending my previous review to 5 stars instead of 4. We went to get kid sundaes for Halloween since they were giving out free kid one topping sundaes. I used my concrete mixer coupon from their opening a new location. These items were great! The kids and I all thought that they put more toppings on the kid size sundae than the small adult ones we got at the grand opening so the ratio of vanilla custard to topping was much-much better. All three of us agreed it was a billion times better than a big lump of vanilla with no toppings for 3/4 of it. Even though these were free I would have gladly paid for them since everyone was so much happier with the taste and look of the items this time. We will come back again and hope for a repeat of today. Perhaps the sad, tiny amount of toppings the first day on a one topping small sundae was a fluke (we will not be ordering those again anytime soon). I wish I took a picture of the first day so you could see the comparison, but it was so hot and everything started melting right away that we just dug in. Also it is good to note you must tell them before you pay that you have the app otherwise you can't get points later even if you have a receipt and you're still at the window. I am with a sad heart to be writing this. This is truly the best ice cream in all of Tennessee. The kindest staff too! Unfortunately, this cost me $10! My jaw dropped when they told me the price. I added brownie to it thinking there would be brownie chucks, however, it was just crumbs. I also asked for mint and espresso and it was straight vanilla everywhere besides the sides. I really love this place and want to come back regularly but I cannot be paying $10 for something like this. Especially for just vanilla ice cream. It was our first time at Andy's Frozen Custard. I had a small waffle cone with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate custard. My husband had the Nutty Waffle Crunch. The custard was smooth, creamy, and rich. The Crunch was mixed with bits of waffle cone and nuts. We both enjoyed our choices! The place was exceptionally clean. They had a cornhole game set up out front and four long benches for people to sit on. We stopped by on a Wednesday, late afternoon. It was pretty quiet, but I'll bet this place gets busy! I ordered the key lime pie custard concrete. It was just vanilla ice cream- there was so little key lime pie that it didn't even taste limey. It was also barely blended. I would much rather go to cook-out just down the street! Also- Andy's is TWICE as expensive as cook-out. Don't waste your money! If you like key lime- I would recommend the key lime pie ice cream from Bruster's. read more

$3.19 for a single scoop. The cone is not filled with ice cream. A half dome sits on top of the cone, and the rest is a hollow, empty cone. The Joy Brand cones were stale. Far better value at Culver's or go to McDonald's. read more
