Steak tacos with rice and beans.

This place has a mix of American and Mexican cuisine. If you're looking to have tacos I would recommend trying out the ones at Andy's garage. They do such a good job with the meat. It's not chopped up into tiny pieces and the sauce is amazing. I appreciate the professional friendly service there as well.

How have I never had this before?! This place is AWESOME. Seriously! Diner food for diner prices! Since I had a burger just a few days ago, I decided to get a baked potato since those are served during lunch only. I love a good baked potato so I was excited to try Matthew's Potato - a baked potato with cheese and bacon. I decided to add broccoli, too, which wasn't much of an extra charge. The potato was monstrous. Almost the size of 1.5 normal baked potatoes. I do wish there were a little more cheese, but the bacon and broccoli were loaded on there! There was butter and sour cream on the side which was nice since I don't love my baked potatoes doused in sour cream. The strawberry malt is to DIE FOR. Made with real strawberries! It tasted like a strawberry smoothie even. I loved my experience at Andy's Garage. Definitely my new favorite at Midtown Global Market!

Okay I'm updating my review of Andy's. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger, the same I had previously to make it fair. OMG what a delicious burger at a great price! The meat was cooked perfectly and the toppings were outstanding! Squishy bun and all of the things! I still recommend double frying the fries, however they are still delicious! Nice job, Andy's!

Order up. Dine in or take away.

Awesome burger loaded with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and a big helping of homemade chips on the side. Replace the chips with fresh cut fries for a buck. Good selection of shakes and malts. The large is plenty big for two to share. Seating feels like you're in a garage, imagine that. Drinks and condiments are self serve. Free refills. They open at 7am so come for breakfast or try a baked potato for lunch. Or a salad or a wrap. Or a Sammie. Or just a Root Beer Float. Something for everyone, any time of day. This was my first time here, but not my last. Fair price for good food and a good time (if I hadn't enjoyed my date, I could have watched Back to the Future playing on the tv). Andy's Garage -- Try it.

Full order of fries. Enough for two to share.

A friend told me Andy's has the best fries at MGM. I haven't had anyone else's fries, but Andy's might be a contender. If you get a full order, be prepared to share. Three of Andy's potatoes yields a lot of fries! The Fry Snob in me was pleased. I look forward to trying a burger in the future.

RMBL in the JNGL w/ fries

I walk through the Midtown Global Market several times a week and I'm always overwhelmed by the amount of different options that are offered, but I had just come from the gym and wanted something filling. I thought a burger would be the perfect craving killer for me so I ordered the RMBL in the JNGL burger because the pineapple addition sounded scrumptious! I waited about 10 minutes for my food which felt like an eternity probably just because of my post-workout hunger so I won't knock them for that. Overall the burger itself was very very dry even with a slice of pineapple, fresh tomato, and teriyaki sauce and the flavor was lacking. I like my burgers to drop and have great meaty flavor, but the patty was overlooked and tasted like lunch meat. The fries were nice and soft with good crunchy bits throughout so they were a highlight, but I wasn't fully content with my experience here. Midtown Global Market has some great spots but this shouldn't be your first experience.

I ordered the breakfast sandwich, and unfortunately, it missed the mark. For a café that seems to put so much effort into its unique menu the sandwich felt processed and lacked the fresh, high-quality ingredients I expected. It was just an unsatisfying start to the meal. The waffle tasted like one of those store-bought belgian waffles However, I have to give credit where it's due: the espresso was excellent. It was nice and strong, clearly made from well-sourced beans. It's a great spot for a caffeine fix. The staff were kind and attentive, and the cafe itself is a great spot to work on a laptop, but based on the food quality of my visit, I can't give it a full recommendation yet. I'll likely be back for the coffee, but I'll stick to one of their more popular items next time.

Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. It was a myopic move and a passive-aggressive way to handle my request. In my birthplace home of NYC, a bartender would have said, "Getting a cucumber slice is a pain in the rear, would you mind skipping it?" My response, "Sure, it's not a big deal."

It seemed a little loud though, even though the restaurant wasn't close to Full. There was some confusion with us originally getting the wrong menu but after it was all sorted out, seemed like a good selection! A couple of us got there a little earlier than the others and ordered cocktails - right from the beginning the service seemed a little slow. Our cocktails took a minute, and then it took even longer for them to take the orders for the other gals. We got a couple of shareable that were all great and ordered our meal . But again, everything seemed very slow. It took forever for us to get our food - we were nervous. We were going to be late for our show that was just a few minutes down the road because our main courses took so long. I had the Luna burger and it was decent a little dry, but it had good toppings on it. Everyone seemed pretty pleased with their food overall it's just a shame that the dinner experience took so long. I also found the prices were a little high for the quality of food you were actually getting. I wouldn't tell somebody to never go there, but I would tell them to prepare for a wait jic it was always like that.

Entrees: The Walleye was great and we really enjoyed the AMERICAN WAGYU STEAK butchers cut. They all had great and unique flavors. Desserts: The server recommended the peach cobbler and we received a delicious complimentary sundae since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Cocktails: I really enjoyed the Paper Plane since I like tequila and my husband liked his Old Fashion. The Spritz was also refreshing. However, Bûcheron, located in Kingfield, one of the most down-to-earth neighborhoods in Minneapolis, deserved all its accolades. We grabbed two seats at the small bar, and I was immediately wary. The woman behind the bar, while professional, was ice cold. She warmed up later, but what registered from her affect was that we weren't worthy of dining in this esteemed restaurant. It was off-putting, but she was friendlier later in the evening. I'm old, so that might be it too. Many younger people in the Twin Cities don't like old men. Bûcheron's space is small and homey, tying in well with the Kingfield neighborhood. It's cozy and unpretentious. I liked that. The food was scrumptious. Everything tasted wonderfully, and there wasn't even one miss. The menu changes constantly, so listing the dishes might be moot. However, the Pomme Dauphines, gazpacho soup, halibut, and sticky toffee cake made us sigh with pleasure. On a Monday night, the place was packed, but it empties early. That's typical in the Twin Cities. Late dining is not in vogue. However, Bûcheron is popular, so make reservations early. For the 12 months that we have lived in the Twin Cities, Bûcheron and Myrial provided our best meals. Bravo and Brava! Both were priced fairly, providing bang for your buck.
