    Roasted golden beets. So great!

Friends of ours tried Nightingale recently, and their photos of the meal got us to head up there for our next special occasion dinner. Service was good, ambiance was comfortable, wine list had many fun options, and the menu was inspired. Best of all, everything was reasonably priced. We've had better meals in the Twin Cities, but have definitely never eaten better at this price point.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant, where the standout dishes were the fresh and briny Northeast oysters, perfectly paired with a bright mignonette. The truffle fries were addictively crisp and aromatic, while the broccoli tempura delivered a satisfying crunch and a subtle, nutty flavor. The salmon was beautifully cooked, tender, and flavorful, rounding out a menu that impressed at every turn. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and upbeat, and the ambiance felt fun and festive, making the entire evening a delight.

This awesome little restaurant is located in a bustling area in Lowry Hill neighborhood. This does mean you will need to street park but even at prime time it wasn't a far walk. It's has both bar and table seating. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get a couple seats at the bar. First of all, our server Riley was amazing. He was friendly and checked in often to make sure we were good to go. He was also very knowledgeable on the menu. We got a small dish of olives which I usually despise, but I took a chance and was surprised that they didn't gross me out. We started off sharing the squash caponata bruschetta which was so flavorful and definitely shareable size. We both ordered the nightingale burger. The fries and aioli were so good. I felt okay with the burger. It wasn't bad, just nothing I would chase down. I got interested in the drink "little black book" and after asking Riley a little more about it and understanding the flavor profile I took a chance and really enjoyed it! I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

Another epic dinner in Minneapolis! What a great little corner bar Nightingale is, brimming with charm and serious eats. Our server provided friendly and engaging service, giving us great recommendations for food and beverages. We got to try a number of sharables and each was worth ordering again, but there were definitely some standouts. In all, we got the deviled eggs, yellow tomato bruschetta, smoked chicken liver pate, scallops, beef tartare and grilled octopus. The standouts were the bruschetta, pate and scallops! The bruschetta was unlike any I have had before with a creamy spread topped by well flavored tomatoes all on a grilled bread. The flavor we commented on that came through as most unique was saffron! The pate was my single favorite thing I had all night. It truly did have an excellent smoked flavor that was super savory, and it was served with a bacon tamponade that paired perfectly. I ate at least 3-4 slices of this and finally had to convince myself to stop! The last stand out were the scallops, which were tender and cooked to perfection. The scallops themselves had a nice saltiness and were served atop an almond sauce with grapes. I know the grapes sound odd, but it was actually a great combination altogether. We ended with their milkjam ice cream trio! If you're looking for a quaint, vibey neighborhood spot with warm staff and excellent food (and who isn't?), I'd highly recommend stopping in!

A wonderful restaurant with a very unique menu. Service was great. Outside seating was quiet.

We went late night and this was my first experience there. To be fair we had been at the fair all day and maybe that affected my review. Service was horrible!!!! We simply wanted drinks and got oysters as well. Over 15 minutes to be greeted. Parking in Uptown is tough as well. Won't be back unless my companion insists.

This is just another staple for me. I do love sitting at the bar here as I feel as if the service is better / quicker that way. Came here specifically to watch the game and order a burger and a few drinks. The burger here is incredible. It isn't done up too much and the meat is perfectly grilled with a little bit of a crisp and the perfect toppings. Top 5 burger in the cities for sure. Also, they had a spaghetti on the menu which was new and we got it and I gotta say... it was so good! There was not too much sauce on there, it had a great, clean flavor and lil dollops of burrata perfectly strewn in. Again, another place that I will come to time and time again!

I love this spot and this place has easily become one of my favorites. The wine selection and espresso martini anyway you want it is a win. I absolutely love the mussels. They stay open late. They have street parking, great music, and just always an overall good crowd. The vibes and service meet the bar for me and I would recommend.

Nightingale is one of my favorite restaurants! I've been at least 10 times and am always impressed. You can tell the owner is a woman because everything is so tastefully curated to perfection! The ambiance is such a fun and moody vibe, the food is so unique and rich, and the smoky olives and specials like half off wine Mondays are a great touch. Every time I come here I order the pickle plate and take home a pint of the olives. I came here for my birthday dinner on the 6th with friends and we got a bit of everything: Steak tartare, Mussels, Pickle plate, Delicata squash and apples, Warm halloumi, Chicken wings, Deviled eggs, Mushroom bruschetta, Market salad, Smoked liver pate, and the Grilled octopus. Everything was delicious. We especially liked the mussels, wings, salad and octopus, which are some favorites I've repeatedly got here. The delicata was a new one I highly enjoyed at this visit. I love whatever beet concoction she comes up with for the different seasons. Our server with the off white sweater was pleasant and impressive. I can't wait to come back!

A Minneapolis staple! I love going here on weekends nights with my girlfriends. The rotating cocktail of the moment is absolutely delicious. The food is great and I almost always leave with a pint of their signature olives.

The dining area in nightingale is prime for a date night. Warmly lit and cozy vibes. The food was average-- we enjoyed the scallops the most. It had a unique blend of flavors and I didn't expect the grapes to go so well with it! The broccolini with burrata was ok, but probably wouldn't get it again. The service was nice but pretty slow. It took a long time to order and get drinks, appetizers, and entrees.

Showed up right at opening for a choice spot at the cool, low-lit bar. They were on the menu, so I had to get a couple oysters and deviled eggs, along with a ramekin of olives to open the appetite while drinking a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the sardines were not available that day, so my plans for the ultimate girl dinner had to change. I had to opt for the juicy burger instead. Oh the humanity!

Warm and inviting, Nightingale immediately makes you feel like you want to stay a few hours. We visited on a busy Friday evening and did exactly that. Our waiter was excellent. Describing many of the dishes in detail and making well thought out recommendations based on our preferences. Per usual, we split everything - I will run the list. - Marinated Olives: Our thoughtful waiter brought these out for us to snack on. They tasted like they were covered in bacon grease - and I mean that in the best way imaginable. - Sesame Shrimp Toast: Fried triangles of goodness. A crispy outside, decorated with sesame seeds providing a pop of flavor, and a warm shrimp stuffed interior. Not to mention the drinkable sweet chile sauce! - Mushroom Bruschetta: Turns out there is a thing as too many mushrooms. We let this dish get cold which was also a mistake. The baby quail eggs were adorable, almost would have rather just ordered those! - Nightingale Burger: Classic burger with sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato and aioli. We asked for medium but felt it was more medium rare, still totally edible. Nothing to write home about. - Fries + Aioli: Very much a winner. Fries were hot, crispy and salty, and the dipping accompaniment was a malt vinegar aioli, so so tasty. Nightingale is a great neighborhood spot in the heart of the reviving Uptown area! Definitely check it out for great service and tasty bites!

There was an hour and 1/2 limit, but that was plenty of time for us to have a drink. I ordered the Me Espresso and my husband ordered the special of the day, which was a scotch with a special twist. We ordered the chicken that was on the menu and it was a very small piece of chicken and it was supposed to come with broccolini and there was three skinny little stalks, and there was some kind of purée underneath it. Not sure if that was potatoes or what, but the chicken had a very good flavor. It was just very small. That's my complaint on that so we ended up ordering the sweet potato fries and that was a good portion and very good. I would definitely order those again. It wasn't a problem for us since we were ok with taking our time with the empanadas and conversations. Steak was huge with a large bone. Fragrance of rosemary. Also came with a side of 4 sauces/chimichurri. The steak comes with a choice of two sides. We ordered the sautéed veggies, mashed potatoes, and added garlic mushrooms. Sides were standard, nothing special but serving size was small in comparison to the size of the steak. Overall everything was good! Not mind blowing and our overall tab for the steak, 2 empanadas, 3 glasses of wine and 3 beers was around $230.
