Wow, what a great find! I first heard of Andy's a few years ago in an article on the best hot dogs in NJ. At the time, Andy's was a food truck, but now Andy has a permanent storefront on Howard Blvd in Mt. Arlington. I tried to stop here previously, but it was closed (note...check the hours, it's closed Tuesday's and Wednesday's). We'll today I got here for lunch, and this place didn't disappoint. For my first visit, I went with a chili/cheese dog and a dog with cooked onions and mustard. Both were outstanding! I dined in, so I had an opportunity to speak with Andy. He explained that all the ingredients are homemade. Andy's been in the hot dog business for 12 years and knows what he's doing. He even reviewed the menu with me and suggested the pulled pork dog. That's on my list for next time! If you like hot dogs, you really need to give Andy's Roadside Dive a shot. It's only a couple of minutes off Rt 80 and definitely worth the trip! read more

Andy has such amazing visions with all these flavors of hot dogs. We had I believe a state marshmallow man hot dog and so many more. Unfortunately he will be closing his store. I was so happy we got to try it before he did though. He will be in the near future doing possibly a food truck or something. Stopped in today on the way home from Tomahawk Lake. Told my man behind the counter to hook me up with two of his choice plus a chilli cheese dog. Homemade chili was very nice and tasty. The "Your My Boy Bleu" dog was outstanding with the ham putting it over the top. The" Dirk Diggler" was outstanding with gravy and bacon bits. Really delicious. Easy parking in the lot makes it a breeze. The dude is clearly passionate about hot dogs so give him a chance you won't be disappointed! read more

The store front is unassuming but MENU IS THE HOT DOG EQUIVALENT OF THE LAS VEGAS STRIP!!! flavor combos? stellar. staff? BAD-ASS. fiancé, pup and i stopped by on our travels. Finally made it to Andy's Roadside Dive! Sadly, I wasn't with co-worker and partner in our own search for New Jersey's best hotdogs...a big shout out to Pete Genovese At NJ.com and John Fox at Hot Dog Nation on Facebook for providing lists and recommendations! Anyway, when I finally got to Andy's I ordered three dogs-a chili, mustard and kraut; a chili-cheese; and the Pig Dog puppy size. As I've said before I prefer a grilled or fried dog to a dirty water dog, but I'm flexible. Sabrett's are perfectly fine water dogs, but I tend to taste toppings more with them I think-instead of the actual hot dog. And if you like a variety of toppings that would make traditionalists go a little crazy this is the place. I'm usually pretty basic with my toppings, but I had to try the Pig Dog...and it was quite delicious. Pulled pork, bacon, cheese and bbq sauce. As I sat there eating my dogs, the owner and he kept popping out to chase orders... The guy is a real salesman and definitely believes in his toppings. I'm never gonna get my coworker all the way out here, so a picture will have to do. Toppings were great-on all three dogs. Excellent chili, even though I prefer mine just a touch spicier, the taste was great. If you like Sabretti's hot dogs, and you like a wife variety of coffee, this is a pretty tasty stop if you're out this way. I'd eat here again for sure. read more

I had the opportunity for the first time to stop at Angie's roadside. What an amazing experience I had. The hotdogs were something like you've like you never experienced. I had the chili dog. And the standard sauerkraut, mustard and onions, and the onions were made on premises delicious, of course, along with some delicious fries. Freshes an understatement.!!!!! me to order!!! Everything was fresh, homemade. You can tell he only uses the best products which are all made in house. I had a chance to sit down with the owner, Andy himself to get a little history of the place. I'll say from a guy who started off in a food truck he has done one amazing job putting everything together. He also let me know he changes his menu every week so you get a chance to taste every type of hotdog creation he has available. if you thought of it, he will make it that's for sure. Love this place! Andy's gourmet hot dogs are amazing!! Andy really takes hot dogs to a whole new level. My favorites of his specialty hot dogs are the "Wing Thing" and "Mr. Potato Dog". If you like buffalo chicken wings, you'll love the "Wing Thing" because it packs the tasted of buffalo sauce with bleu cheese and celery! "Mr. Potato Dog" is basically a baked potato on a hot dog, fusing slices of potato, sour cream, melted cheddar cheese, and bacon bits on top. Ugh...My mouth waters as I write this review. Most FUN Hot Dog Run!! I gotta say, places like this are what food adventures are all about... I love these inspired, one-off places, grown out of love- you'll see... First of all, Andy, himself, is worth the trip.. I just wanted to hang out by the side of this beautiful lake there all day and chat with the guy! Second, I usually don't want anyone messing with my dog.. I keep it simple with just mustard- until this place!! DAYAM.. This Andy is an ARTIST. For real.. The Stay Puft Ghost Pepper Dog is about as far from a naturally occuring food as you can get- and it's just delicious! I think that only Andy could put together hot dog, Stay Puft Marshmallow, and ghost peppers, and create such a DELICIOUS food! I am sure it is inspired by Ghostbusters, but it LOOKS like Toxic Avenger! Awesome! I thought The Pig Dog would be too much for me, but Andy made me wrong again.. Fantastic meal in a hot dog bun! Not normally a fan of dogs with piles of toppings, these were really good. The chili is a good and not spicy so it didn't overpower the dog. The pig dog is pulled pork with bacon and cheese on a dog. It's was a lot of pulled pork and fortunately you get a fork to down some of the pulled pork by itself. Place is located directly on the lake so you get a good view with lunch. read more

An Interesting twist on the usually boring hotdog. The Pig Dog is a must have. My wife fell in love with the breakfast anytime dog. But my favorite 2 are the Wing Thing and the Nacho Dogito! Don't pass up the opportunity to stop and see for yourself!! They also catered to my 2 pups. The hot dog is free without the bun. If you want the bun they will charge you. Great pair of guys, that run the place. If you stop once, you will keep coming back for more. If your looking for a common dog this is a good spot, but the dogs are a little small by themself. But why do common when there is the dog of the week! Each week the dog of the week is awesome!!! Their creations for the dog of the week are sometimes off the wall, but some how the flavors all work together. My top two are the pig puppy and the dogito. I am convinced the hot dogs are happier here, than any other hot dog place. Andy's is the only place my 2 young kids eat their whole meal. Only downside they close in the winter. read more
