Things were fine until it wasn't. The consult with the dentist went smoothly but when it came down to payment, they were so demanding and inflexible. They demanded full payment of close to $10,000 of implant dental work up front before any work has even begun. We thought that was a little unreasonable but was willing to work with them and pay half of the planned treatment first or pay for any materials the office needed to pay out of pocket etc. But that wasn't acceptable to them and they wanted the full amount up front. $10,000 is not a small amount so why would I pay that before any work has begun, especially since the planned treatment was supposed to take months to complete. We were dealing with the front office lady who said that was their policy so I asked to speak to the dentist (owner) but to my surprise he didn't even want to speak with us. That's not very professional in my opinion and it certainly did not give us much confidence in future dealings with them if problems were to arise. They would rather lose a returning customer (my dad was a patient) who was ready to pay $10,000 for more services, and has referred others to them, than try to work with the customer. So we left and found a very good dentist and office staff that was way more reasonable, professional and flexible. In the end it all worked out. read more

I was first recommended to them from a friend when I had huge estimate from other dentistry and I was able to get lot better deal here. I was very pleased after my fist visit and they are conveniently located in LA and Torrance. And most importantly they ace customer service. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by friendly staffs who are knowledgeable. I get my work done by Dr. Kent. Dr. Kent is excellent doctor and he performs really well and made the whole process pain-free and the results are always amazing. I recently went for teeth cleaning. Sue, the hygienist specialist did a fantastic job. Compare to my past experience with teeth cleaning and I saw the big difference by Sue. She's knowledgeable on many different field and I feel comfortable having her work on me. I'm grateful to have found this place since my results are always great. I've been going to Dr Kent for years. He is the only dentist I trust with my teeth -- and I've been to a lot of dentists because my teeth tend to suck. I recommend him to all of my friends and family because not only does he do an excellent job on performing the procedure with minimal discomfort (I'm a big wuss with pain), he also makes sure it's aesthetically pleasing. He never recommends procedures that you don't need, and he's very honest about how long you might be able to wait or watch over certain teeth issues to see if the problem doesn't get worse or if it no longer looks to be an issue. Last week I got 3 wisdom teeth removed and the team did a great job!. I was very nervous because people told me that it was very painful to the point where they even cry because of the pain but, I didn't feel any pain AT ALL during and after the extraction, not even during the healing time. The doctor's assistant was very sweet and nice and helped me to calm down. Also the doctor did a great job, I was there for a short time. Everyone was very nice even the receptionist. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because I would of like to get a sheet with directions for the after care because after a week I don't know if it's okay for me to drink or eat more solid stuff. They just asked me if I had questions and gave me quick directions and that was all but besides that I'm very happy with the results! I do recommend this place! read more

Okay.. Yelp removed my rating because This Angele Dentistry requested. And Yelp saying my review and so short... so.. okay I make long story for everybody. 1. Two of my kids and My wife went there.. Now.. I don't even remember how much was.. but was like around $500 2. Since they were so busy.. two of my kids..has checked , one got treatment and we made another appointment for my wife @ later date. 3. I found yelp has $100 --- $75 coupon... They said I can just pay cash upfront.. since it is complicated to by yelp coupon and how they have to wait to be paid by yelp and stuff. 4. I paid $425 or similar amount ($25 for each person..Yelp said maximum for $300 purchase anyways) 5. after my kid treatment done.. they asked me pay $25 more..since only my kids are done treatment.. I told them.. My wife has an appointment in future.. it's like I am buying coupons... and using them.. but they said NO 6. I told them.. I paid everything upfront already.. why asking $25 at the end.. and my wife is coming back for future appointment anyways .. but saying it is different from policy.. 7 they said policy is policy.. so I paid $25 more.... If they really want to keep their policy.. they should let me buy from yelp..not taking my cash from first place. 8. Of course.. I cancel my wife's future appointment.. well, they need $25.00 more than have regular customer of family 9. This was our second visit.. and my wife had $1000 treatment @ fist visit... Now.. I am wonder even that $1000 treatment was legit. I hope they really grow big with my $25.00 cover whole torrance... and los angeles. Almost forgot to mention about .. really nice friendly a korean lady and a hispanic lady who helped me out with that $25.00 issue. It is so sad.. This place is a complete scam. I can't say enough bad things about the office manager. She is extremely rude, fake, inept and unprofessional. She will tell you have paid in full in your first visit and halfway through the procedure she will tell you still owe another $500. She will stand in the front desk and argue with you- I can't believe someone like her works in a professional setting. I've tried getting a refund for a procedure because I couldn't stand the idea of coming to this office one more time. She was agitated and banging around the credit card machine for 15 minutes. Apparently she doesn't know how to use the machine. On the upside, the dentist was thorough and gentle while the dental assistants were friendly and accomodating. I haven't been to the dentist in about a year and a half but you must take into consideration that before that, I hadn't been to one in 4+ years. I have great home care and my teeth are naturally straight but I have had several cavities from the past and more recent dental abrasions filled. I went to Angel Dentistry in Torrance and while I had no complaints with the dentist (brief as the meeting was) nothing to write home about. The real stars were Michelle who took my x-rays and Sue who did my cleaning (I think those were their names). I felt very comfortable with both and they both made conversation with me and made my visit less stressful than it could have been (and we all know how stressful dentist visits can be). I felt very comfortable with asking questions about anything. I liked the visit so much I made an appointment for my friend. I'm hoping to see Michelle and Sue again. read more

I get my brace done at Angel dentistry and I am overly satisfied with the process. The doctors are really nice and the staff are extremely bright and cool. My orthodontics process is going great and my teeth are so much straighter than before. The price was reasonable and my satisfaction with the braces is really great. I've had many different procedures [an implant, cleaning, whitening, etc.] done at both of their Vermont/Wilshire & Torrance [my personal fave] locations. Dr. Kent & his awesome staff at both of his immaculate offices [soon to be 4 locations] are all both very professional & personable - wonderful, yet a rare combination. I went last week to have wisdom teeth removed and today had a return visit to have a check-up on my remaining teeth. I met with Christina and Hana up front to check-in and throughout the process Christina would tell me any cost association of any of the procedures I wanted to have done. In my case, I wanted to remove my wisdom teeth and then move on from there. Eddie helped me out with with the x-rays and made me feel at ease even though I have a slight problem with an overactive gag reflex haha. He made me feel comfortable throughout the process. After the x-rays I saw Dr. Louie who immediately told me what the problem was and told me what options there were. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail any answers to the questions I had. I candidly asked him what he would do if he were put in my situation, and he would answer with confidence promptly. Despite how young he looks, I can tell he knows what he is talking about. After deciding to remove the teeth, Christina came in and told me of my associated costs and what they were planning to do before they did it. I asked her a ton of questions and honestly felt a bit guilty for asking all of them, despite this she remained eager to answer all my questions and gave me some guidance on what to do alongside Dr. Louie. This was really awesome. The actual procedure of removing the teeth was the easiest part haha, literally took all of 5 minutes. I was thinking it was gonna be much worse after seeing people get drugged out on anaesthetics on youtube. I returned a week later to discuss teeth whitening, and possible veneers/crowns (all elective/cosmetic type stuff). I was given a few options once again by Dr. Louie with pros/cons and the run down on costs again with Christina. Throughout this visit Eddie/Will helped out on the sidelines and made me feel right at home. I know a lot of people get nervous/anxious while at the dentists, but the staff here really make you feel at ease. Looking at the teeth throughout our check-up Dr. Louie suggested a cleaning prior to any cosmetic work, which I agreed to. Hygienist Brandon helped me out here. Brandon was just as knowledgeable about his craft as everyone here was and took the time to explain everything he was going to be doing prior to doing it. You can tell that he cares for the well-being of his patients. I'm going to be returning for a few visits to complete the work I've already begun, but I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Louie and the staff of Angel to my friends/family. read more

I am deathly afraid of the dentist and getting cleanings but this is the only place I will come to have all my dental needs done! My insurance changed but I still choose to come here and pay out of pocket because the staff is so great. Dr. Hwang is amazing and I don't trust anyone else with my teeth.
