I brush and floss daily, and I go for regular dental check ups and cleanings, so I'm not used to having dental issues. One day, though, out of the blue, I woke up to strong pain in my mouth. I went to see my regular dentist, who looked at the xray and told me I needed a root canal from a specialist. I knew Dr. Ramin Noghreian through my wife, who was a member with Dr. Ramin in the same business organization. I didn't know much about him professionally, however, so I travelled to Torrance on faith. And I'm glad I did! I was really impressed when they put me in an dental CT scan machine that just scanned my mouth. I didn't know such a machine existed! It's a good thing they have it too, because my tooth had not one nerve root, not two, but THREE nerve roots that Dr. Ramin had to artfully excise and then fill. Dr. Ramin made sure the experience was pain-free for me, and it went quite smoothly. The temporary filling Dr. Ramin put in place was so good that, when I went back to my regular dentist to get a crown put one, it took her almost 15 minutes to get it off! This is a state-of-the art practice that's also a family practice. Dr. Ramin's sister, Nooshin, is also an endodontist there, and his wife, Naze, is the office manager. You feel very welcomed when you go there. One never knows what the endodontist will find when he or she goes in to your tooth to do a root canal. (In my case, it was a 3-nerve "mess"!) So you want the best surgeon with the best equipment. I can tell you from personal experience, that's what you'll get at South Bay Endodontics!

Erika was so nice and did all the tests necessary, Dr. Nooshin found out all she had to do was adjust my bite, but she made me feel so at ease and after she fixed my bite and I could no longer feel the pressure I felt like she was a god sent. At this office you can expect the same level of care from all the staff members. If your dentist doesn't refer you to them just come in or call them and make an appointment. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

The first time I called and explained my situation, the lady (don't know her name but it is the same one each time I call) who answers the phone told me that I needed to 'confirm' that there was an issue with the tooth that needed Endodontic treatment. I did that and called back, I was told there were no appts for 2 weeks. At that time I was in excruciating pain. Still was told no appts for 2 weeks !!! So I allowed my Oral Surgeon to perform the treatment. He opened (accessed) the tooth and found issues, so he administered medication into the tooth prior to beginning Root Canal treatment. He also had to eliminate the top portion of the tooth. So I have half of a tooth. It will ultimately have a temporary then a permanent crown, but for now I have half of a tooth. Upon my return visit he determined that I needed to see an Endodontist to ascertain whether there was a crack as the tooth is still sensitive to percussion. So I gave him Dr. Jason Phans name and tried to get an appt. A "Same Day Appt" as advertised on their website. I think this qualifies. But, Hold on, I had my Oral Surgeon's office call and they were told I could come Mid-August !! So I called myself and explained that we had spoken previously and my surgeon's office called also and requested to be seen this week as my tooth may have a fracture. After pleading the same lady I refer to says she will see what she can do and call me back. She did and offered August 3rd!! Today is July 8th !! She says 'you should be ok with antibiotics and pain killers' !! For an entire MONTH. Without knowing if I took antibiotics and pain killers already for this issue... How utterly unprofessional, irresponsible, uncaring and rude! At one point she told me there are many Endodontists that I can see in the area. I wonder if Dr. Phan knows that this is how his potential clients are being treated !!! They are not given same day appts for urgent matters, they are told to take meds and wait or see another practitioner. I will take the latter !

I had my procedure done and didn't feel a thing--I was honestly shocked when they told me we were finished. Dr. Gabbay clearly explained the root of the problem, which gave me so much relief. With that said...(my father loves him, and he and nurce seemed to be professional and kind). And seems to me he's a great guy! Very personable and thorough regarding treatments. We arrived 10 minutes before appointment, waited to be checked in for over 15 minutes. Those of you that have elderly parents will benefit from this post. Waiting room very small and clean. Lots of Camaras everywhere. Very uncomfortable chairs. I figured I'd be waiting for my father at least 1.5 hours. (can't leave due to his age and health). As we sit here and wait (35 minutes) the doctor is literally talking to another patient just threw the glass door in full view. Mind you my Fater is now agitated beyond belief! And I'm trying to get comfortable in the worst chairs ever for a waiting room. It's already been an hour..... still haven't seen the receptionist / nurse, I believe this is a two-person office at best. My father was taken back after about 35 minutes. So, my take a way; Make sure you get 1 appointment of the day and bring a pillow for your back.

This was my 2nd opinion as the first doctor I saw was very sterile and staff was pushy. Dr. Endo said it looks like I will have to get the tooth extracted so he can't do the work. I was not happy about it but, he took time with me, walked me through my x-rays and explained everything to me. He gave me a copy of my x-rays without me even asking. He also send my x-rays to my dentist on the same day. The first doctor I saw never did any of that. Dr. Endo is extremely friendly and his staff is too. I hope to never see him again, LOL but, if I do, I know I am in good hands.
