I received 3 text messages from Brenda reference a dental Appointment for my wife. I called this morning and spoke to Yuko about the text. She informed me that she knew nothing about the situation. Told me to call back in afternoon to speak to Brenda. Called back 3 different times and keep being directed to voicemail due no one is available to answer the phones. As a victim of ID theft and fraud I'm interested in knowing how they came about my and my wifes and my personal information. Attached the text from earlier today. read more

As a retired dentist who spent many years in active practice, I can say without reservation that Dr. Rex Yanase is the type of practitioner that epitomizes what our profession should be all about. Not only are his technical skills top rate, but he has a caring and warm attitude that makes you feel comfortable. In addition, there is no "up sell" by anyone in the office. This is in stark contrast to many dental offices today where "production" is the key element. In these offices, instead of presenting patients with equally acceptable treatment options, the emphasis is on those procedures which are most profitable for the office. If you find yourself in one of those offices, I would recommend you go elsewhere. In summary, I give Dr. Rex and all the doctors and staff in his group the highest marks. read more

I moved to Torrance and was recommended to Dr. Rex Yanase and I'm so glad I was. Never in a million years did I think I would leave a 5-star rating for a DENTIST, but Dr. Rex deserves it. He's extremely friendly and personable and it's always fun to strike up a conversation with him and the rest of the staff. But more importantly, he does great work and my dental work is as quick and painless as I could imagine dental work to possibly be... I grew up hating going to the dentist (probably more than anything) because my sweet tooth led me there more often than I would have liked. But Dr. Rex epitomizes "the best of a bad situation." He and his team have been a pleasure to visit and now that I'm moving, finding a dentist as good will be a real challenge. In February, I had to undergo another root canal but I had no idea how to pay for the work since I had no dental insurance. I was recommended to Dr. Rex Yanase for a consultation, where he was able to give me some information on my options - the pros and cons to the different options, how to approach the problem and advise the best method for my case. Dr. Yanase was able to walk me through my case - showing x-rays of my defective tooth and videos of the procedure to make sure I understood what it would entail. After, Dr. Yanase had searched and found a great endodontist who did the operation that was well within my ability to pay. It was a lot cheaper than my first root canal and at that time, I had dental insurance. After my operation, Dr. Rex Yanase finished the work by having a tech from his office create a new crown that similar in color with my surrounding teeth. Not only did it look like the same, it was made in a very speedy time. It took about an hour to replace my old crown with the new one. The whole procedure from start to finish took two weeks and the recovery time was about a day or two to adjust the new crown. I greatly recommend Dr. Yanase to anyone in need of a dentist. The work done at this office as well as the wonderful work ethic that Dr. Yanase and his staff brings is professional and organize. read more

What is that filthy set of files behind the receptionist? Why did my dental hygienist not change the plastic covers over the lights--they were covered with gunk when I got there and even more covered when I left. Disgusting. At the recommendation of our orthodontist, I took my daughter to see Dr. Hamilton Le at Yanase in 2015. A couple of her top front teeth were not the correct width and he did an amazing job building them up to be the correct size. It was impossible to tell the teeth he created were any different than the rest of her teeth, the color and size were perfect. Over the weekend, one of the veneers came off. I called the office this morning for an appointment, they were incredibly accommodating and fit us in this afternoon. My visit included x-rays and a general dental exam - which Dr. Roy Yanase kindly provided to me free of cost to fulfill my Peace Corps medical clearance process. From the moment I walked in I was greeted welcomingly by the women at the front desk. Both the waiting room and exam room were comfortable, relaxing and have a calming aura to them. The dental assistant, Domonique, took my x-rays and was very diligent as she was quick in order to prevent any discomfort. She was also very empathetic and took time to talk to me, explain what she was doing and answer my questions. Dr. Roy Yanase has to be the most comforting dentist I have ever been to. As opposed to previous experiences at other locations he did not rush to get me out of his office, he took my comfort into consideration and he was very professional. Dr. Roy was great at establishing a provider - patient rapport and included me in the diagnostic process by showing me my x-rays and explaining to me what he was able to conclude through them. I cannot say enough positive comments about my experience at this location. Dr. Roy Yanase has been my dentist for about ten years. My father was referred to him by a coworker and soon after I followed. Dr. Yanase also referred me to a great root canal specialist and there after Dr. Yanase put in a crown for me. He's been a dentist for a long time and really knows how to do great dentistry. He is always patient with me when I tell him what's going on and yet sweet and funny just like a grand parent. No one knows how to give their patients numbing shots like he does...he somehow talks to you and does this technique and you can barely feel any pain while he's giving it to you. This man is at the top of his game. Top honors in everything, he really knows his stuff. He is a kind hearted man that loves what he does, never stops learning, and continually attends so many different conferences to educate himself. He gives back by teaching at USC. He is a truly honest and genuine person and dentist. This man doesn't just do what you want for the sake of pleasing you and to just make money, he gives suggestions first because he's the doctor and knows what he's doing and does things with care. Be warned that if you go to him, you will probably have to wait a bit to get in, but I promise you, it's worth the wait...he tries to fit in everyone that he can. I just came from Yanase dental office and low and behold i have found my dentist fo life!!! you can say im a dentist ho. i have been switching around from dentist to dentist as never have really found one that i liked and trusted with my teeth. coming from a family where both my sisters are practicing dentists, i guess i am pretty selective. (if you are wondering why i don't go to them for cleanings it's because they don't practice locally). all the dentists i have been to in the past are either negligent of my teeth or it has been a really painful experience during the cleanings. Dr. Rex Yanase and his staff were very friendly and comforting during my arrival, let's face it we all get a little anxious going to the dentist. they immediately put me at ease about my concerns and made sure that things went smoothly. i have to say this was the most pleasant dental experience i have ever had. the initial visit was very thorough, as was the cleaning. Dr. Yanase explained to me in detail re: my dental hygiene and situations to encounter in the future. my hygienist, Stacy, was so gentle with the cleaning, i almost fell asleep during the procedure as it was so pain free and comfortable, (yes i did say the cleaning was comfortable.) of all the dentists i have been to (excluding my sisters. :P) i have to say it was the best dental experience i have ever had. i can confidentally say that i highly highly rec Dr. Yanase and his staff, they are professional, courteous, skillful and thorough.
