For a donut shop they have a lot of things to eat - from cake balls to donuts to bubble tea. They have mochi donuts and regular donuts and kolaches. They have cheesecake and desserts in jars. If you want a little bit of this and a little bit of that this is the place to go. They weren't the best ever but they were solid desserts. Everything tasted fresh and good. Solid choices all around. The bubble tea was my least favorite thing we tried (but this is a donut and treat shop after all). They have cute decor and games you can play if you want a hangout spot.

Back in October a friend and I stopped in for breakfast. As soon as you open the door, the sweet smell hits you. It was great! They ladies working were attentive and helpful. I got a cup of donut holes, a small kolache and a iced coffee. Everything tasted great.

Love the options and the drinks are great! Get the - Iced Caramel macchiato! Cookie and cream cheesecake dessert cup They even had a GF vegan donut! Super cute place with amazing service !

Yay for GF donuts and treats. This place is very spacious, board games to play while you hang out. Huge selection of donuts, kolaches, coffees, cold beverages like milk, juice and pop. They have GF donuts (chocolate, powder sugar, and cinnamon sugar). We got all 3 of course, very good. Chocolate covered was the best one. Also got a GF muffin to go, can't wait to try that later. Server was very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend if you're GF and in the area!

We had my son's 1st birthday here and it was perfect. They made donuts for us that fit the theme perfectly. Also, they have the best bake shop cinnamon roll ever.

Found this place when searching for gluten free donuts in the Austin area. We came around noon on a Saturday and they still had plenty of options- they keep the GF donuts in the back to help avoid cross contamination. They had cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and chocolate icing. Since we rarely get donuts, we had to try all 3. I think the chocolate was my favorite since the other two were slightly more dry, but still fluffy and didn't seem like GF texture. I also had to try and cake ball and that was amazing! You would not have thought it was GF. For non GF folks, they have tons of cake ball flavors that would be fun to try. I am glad there's a place with delicious GF options. Definitely worth checking out!

Super cute place to come and relax, have a drink and snack. Very clean inside. I came through the back area which had couches and a little library area and some games to chose from. Down the hall you get to the good stuff. Presentation of the food is nicely set. I came for a cake pop but they also have donuts and small breakfast selections as well. I did notice they have gluten free options also. My review is based on the overall experience but I honestly felt the cake balls were lacking. The outer shell tastes a bit like they had been frozen, they all have the same outer shell. For the salted caramel that taste overpowered the inside taste, since it was a bit bland. I did like the inside taste of the cookies and cream. The carrot cake was good but make sure you like spice, it was very heavy on the spice. The were all very dense and were not dry so that was a good thing. And they are a bit pricey but they are good in size too. Cute place, I'll try the donuts next to compare.

I had a mixed experience with this place. I've had some of their donuts and found them to be tasty and enjoyable, so when the holidays rolled around I wanted to send some donuts to a friend as a gift. I emailed the owner and had several email exchanges about what I wanted - lettered donuts decorated in a Christmas theme (I also sent inspiration pics). After the donuts were delivered I emailed the owner and asked if there was a misunderstanding on the order or if she approved of the product that was made... she never responded. If what I asked for was unreasonable then the owner should have told me and explained to me exactly what she was planning/capable of making.

Cute place! Glad we have a donut place to run to for my son with food allergies. Clean and a variety of donuts.

I have celiac disease so I am gluten free! Very yummy cake donuts! Soft but not crumbly. The cake taste was very nice. I liked the chocolate glaze the best! Donuts - powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate glaze. GF and vegan. They are kept in the back to prevent cross contact with the regular donuts. The price was under $3 which was great! They also have gluten free muffins, cake balls, chocolate chip cookie and macarons. Employees were very nice and friendly. GF Donut Prep from company "They are prepared and stored separately. We have numerous customers with celiacs so we are very careful about cross contamination!"

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but i know it wasn't to have my life changed by the blueberry bubble tea and red velvet cake donut I had at Angel Donuts & Treats. Seriously, the blueberry bubble tea was THE best boba tea I've probably had, well, ever. The balance of the blueberry milk tea with the actual boba=HEAVEN. I can't hype it up enough. I also had the red velvet cake donut (perfect), the green tea mochi donut (amazing), and the spicy bacon popper (OMG), which I didn't even get a picture of because I ate it too fast. Just trust me tho. Get it. I ordered online and picked it up-It was a little hard to find but worth all the trouble. I will be back. Sooner than later!! I am so glad I came across this little gem!!!

    Cute presentation!

This morning I finally got to visit this place, after reading it was one of the best places for donuts in the Austin area. Overall, the products are good but the customer service has ample room for improvement. The breakfast tacos were "mini" but tasty... pricey for the size of serving. I got a pretty good sample of their donuts, including the "mochi" ones. They are tasty but they gave me the impression of fried dough that was had been made perhaps the day before? The vegetarian kolache was good, my kids said it reminded them of the taste of the steamed buns at the market in Seattle (big compliment!). The beignets were at the same level as the doughnuts. I also got a couple of the cake balls but haven't tried them yet. They get an A+ for variety and presentation for sure. The cashier who helped me was stern, did not make me feel welcome but then again, one of the owners came out when I just arrived, looked at me with a very serious expression and went back inside, not a smile, a "good morning" or "someone will help you shortly. To me those are very important things when I make the decision about returning to a place or not.

    Yummy cake balls!
    Sandra C.

A hidden gem with a lot of choices for a sweet treat or a drink. I walked in and first saw a case with macarons and cake balls. Then I noticed donuts behind the counter. I see Mochi Donuts! I got one lemon and strawberry Mochi donut. I got several cake balls. I am not disappointed at all. Each sweet treat was awesome. The Mochi donut was crunchy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside. Each cake ball was very moist and not too sweet. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Beautiful treats; cake balls, gluten free options, macarons, muffins.

I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

When I arrived, I was told the cake wasn't ready and was asked if I could come back the next morning--which obviously didn't work given the timing of the event. As a substitute, they offered me a pre-made cake from their display case and assured me it was chocolate like I originally ordered, just with a chocolate mousse filling. They refunded me $15 to account for the difference, and I felt pressured to accept since I needed something for the dinner that night. Unfortunately, the situation got worse from there. When we cut into the cake, it turned out to be confetti--not chocolate. Then, when we tried to eat it, it was clearly stale, dry, and inedible. No one touched it after the first bites. It completely missed the mark for what was supposed to be a special moment. What's especially frustrating is that I ordered from them last year for the same occasion, and everything went perfectly--that's why I trusted them again. This time, however, it was a complete letdown from start to finish. When I called the next day to request a refund, I asked to speak with a manager but was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I was told I would only be offered a partial refund because I accepted the replacement cake. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and quality here was really disappointing--especially for something as important as a birthday celebration.

Unfortunately, I did not like most of the things we took home that day (my husband agreed). A taro egg ball thing -- not fans. A gelatinous rice blob inside a bamboo leaf (believe it's called Zongzi) -- also didn't work for us. Finally, the beef puff (which seemed like a safe bet) fell short of expectations. It's my fault -- I ignored that part that said "beef floss." It had a stringy/processed texture that I just didn't like. I just wasn't a fan of the flavors/textures -- but obviously that's subjective. I did enjoy the garlic bread we also thankfully bought -- it was soft and flavorful. If you're not familiar with the foods, I'd recommend making sure you get a few "safe" items like the cream bread or garlic bread. In terms of overall space, there's a connected lot with a decent amount of parking spots available which is great. There's also benches/stools outside so you can enjoy your treats while they're fresh. Pink Cake ($7, 4.5/5) - I liked how the "cake" base itself is more hearty (with corn as the main ingredient) - The buttercream is a very pretty pink, which matches the overall aesthetic of Comadre. It's a tad sweet, but works overall. Empanadas ($7 each, 5/5) - Great savory option! The filling consists of stewed chickpeas, poblano chilies, cheddar cheese. - Comes with a side of tomatillo sauce which adds some nice tang. Overall, really enjoyed our experience! I had just recently watched an Austin PBS episode that featured Comadre - would recommend checking the video out as it highlights a lot of the thought/consideration that goes into this business! Excited to come by next time I'm in the area & checking out other items on the menu.

Parking is limited -- only a few narrow spots outside. Okay wow. The ube ice cream here is out-of-this-world. Came here with my hubby and two toddlers and we got one cone to share (the kids just get a little bit). This is usually enough but I felt like I wanted MORE. It was so creamy and flavorful. We kept it simple -- fish cone with nutella and ube soft serve. We had the option of swirling it with a milk tea ice cream but it had a little bit of caffeine so no good. Glad the choice was made for us -- the ube was perfect on its own. Also happy we skipped the toppings since the creaminess really came through. They sell mochi donuts too -- they were pretty good but not as good as the ice cream. Parking is limited but we had no issue snagging a spot at 430pm on a Sunday. Only a few narrow spots outside (no official lot). Full disclosure -- both my daughter and I had tummy aches after eating this ice cream and you know what? I have zero regrets! It was that good.
