The place looks very clean with a plain and simple decor. It got busy after I arrived in the later morning; the staff was friendly and they handled the customer volume very well. The restroom was out of order, so when I needed it, I was S.O.L. (pun intended). I came only for a donut; I bought one and a coffee. The donut was fair, but nothing to write home about. The coffee was not good. They have a few standard bench tables where you can sit down to eat. They also sell some hot foods like kolaches. I came here with my daughter's on Thanksgiving day and they were open. The people serving us are super sweet and kind (and patient with my toddler). The place was clean. The donuts and kolaches were amazing, perfect cake donut and of course pink with sprinkles. My husband enjoyed the Boudin kolache as well. Super Donut AKA Monrnin' Donuts is as good as it gets and a great find on South Congress for donuts, kolaches, sweet treats, and drinks (coffee, milk, sodas, mexican cokes, etc). I definitely love the variety of kolaches they have here but don't under estimate the jalapeno + sausage + cheese kolaches - they are FIRE! They will make you cry :) Parking is always easy here and accessible. You can even stay and eat your warmed up kolaches or donuts in one of the four booths they have inside if you would like. There is also a side table with creamers, sugars, stirrers, napkins, and utensils by the door as you leave. Great and prompt service always provided here. I even saw one employee help a customer carry her order to the door and assist her with grabbing all the extras she needed (sugar for her coffee, etc). From what I can tell all donuts and the like are made fresh and in-store. When they are out of their kolaches they are OUT so make sure to get there early enough so you can have a variety to choose from. This is definitely not a spot to sleep on! read more

Place is called Mornin' Donut. It was alright overall. I guess this is a preference thing, but I didn't like the texture of their cake donuts and fritters. I don't how to describe it, like not cooked long enough. The fritters had no crisp. The yeast ones were alright. The kolaches. I didn't like them at all. The bread is very dense/heavy/soft. If that's your thing, you will love it. I like airy and a darker hard crust. Place was clean and the workers were nice. This place is seriously the best -- My friend and I come here regularly for a quick breakfast or hangover meal and whether we're together or alone when we walk in, the staff always remembers us and our individual orders. Right across from a school too so grab some donuts before or after picking up your kids! Inside they have a few tables to sit at if you are so inclined. Small coffee station with the sugar and creamer you may require. Several refrigerators with sodas, juices, and water. The big attraction is obviously the donuts and kolaches. Fairly decent selection all super fresh and serves up with an Uber friendly smile and attitude. I appreciated the variety from eating alone in your car donuts to bringing something in for the office. Half of the display is varied kolaches while the other includes donuts, donut holes, and cinnamon buns. Donuts are so soft on the inside, while also having the most perfect outside texture!! They have a slight crunch from the glaze and gosh, it's the best thing to wake up to. A simple donut shop, but what makes this different from others? They have kolatches! Sausage, cheese, ham...all are amazing especially warmed up. Donuts are yummy as well. Smaller than I'm used to which is odd for everything being bigger in Texas. Then again this is Austin. Decent amount of donut options though and they are not overly sweet. Another option which is great for vegetarians is the egg and potato taco. Small but can hit the spot since I didn't see a vegetarian kolatche. There are a few booths to sit at, parking lot, drip coffee and a powder cappuccino machine. They also some cold bottle drinks available in a cooler as well. Place is clean and would definitely recommend for anyone from one person to feeding large groups. A staple for any neighborhood. read more
