This is SUCH a delicious food truck! I spotted it on Yelp as we were in the mood for dessert and not sure what to try. After paying for parking we made our way over to the truck. There wasn't a line (it was a pretty hot day) so we managed to order quickly. We opted to split the Black Betty. It was huge!! I loved the blackberry sauce and fruit mixed in with the cream and sugar. This is one big dessert so I'm glad we shared it - honestly would be worth splitting a whole one amongst a few people unless you have a big sweet tooth! The staff were really quick with the order. There's ample seating by the truck which is probably nice for part of the year, but we were suffering on a hot summer day. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered a Mother Clucker and a Granny's Pie for me and a Heavenly Hash for the lady friend. Then we waited. These are made to order doughnuts! Woah! The Mother Clucker was huge! There was so much fried chicken on top of the doughnut that I thought I had sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese restaurant. I looked in the bag to make sure there wasn't a container of orange color sauce in there. There was a honey drizzle over it all and it sat on top of the doughnut. Even though it was large, the dish was rather boring. Maybe they needed a dipping sauce for the chicken strips. Granny's Pie was delicious. It was a doughnut with bananas, cream cheese icing, caramel, pecans and crushed graham crackers. The lady friend's Heavenly Hash looked great, but I was too busy trying to hydrate in order to not into go a diabetic coma. I don't know how I drove a car after this. I was intrigued when I saw a sign for CBD coffee and decided to give it a try, but unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. I paid an extra $5 to add CBD and completely regretted it. I'm not sure if it was the coffee itself or the CBD addition, but the drink was thick, overly sweet, and honestly unpleasant. I planned to share it with a friend, and between four of us tasting it, we all agreed it was just bad coffee. The person taking my order didn't seem to know what was in the drinks, which made me hesitant, but I went ahead and trusted it anyway. While ordering, I also noticed the work area behind the counter looked extremely messy possibly due to a rush, but there was only one person working at the time. Even the coffee cup itself looked dirty, with visible fingerprints on the lid, which was off-putting. I didn't try the donuts, so this review is strictly based on the coffee. First off, the set up is cool. Its a trailer but they have a ton of outdoor sitting/doughnut garden where you can sit and enjoy. These things are not doughnuts, they are doughcakes ! They freshly fry and make all the doughnuts to order, and these things can feed 12. I got the peanut butter and jelly doughnut, filed with grape jelly, peanut butter icing, and pb chips. Everything I've tried has been wild and delicious, but my absolute favorite is the cherry donut holes (I can't remember the name, but they're SO good--warm, sweet, and just the right amount of tart). There was one parking spot that opened upon my arrival on an early Sunday afternoon. Premium Parking was $2.42 for 15 minutes, which was just enough time to place and pick up my order. There was only one person working and he seemed overwhelmed with our order but we only ordered 3 donuts. They have plenty of outdoor seating and places with shade to cover you from that Texas sun. One downside is they have no bathroom. Across the way and near by is an outdoor BBQ and bar spot and I used the bathroom there while waiting for our donuts.
