If you're in Austin and craving specialty donuts, THIS is the place to go!!! Being a donut connoisseur, Gourdough's did not disappoint! Love that they're set up in a retro airstream -- such a fun vibe. Donuts are made fresh and topped to order, and it is 100% worth the wait. They've got large and mini sizes, so we went with a few different minis so we could try multiple flavors without overdoing it (or maybe we still overdid it, no regrets ). The menu has something for everyone, even more "basic" options for those who don't want all the toppings -- which honestly feels a little sacrilegious here haha. They also have great coffee, plenty of seating, and shaded tables so you can dig in right away and actually enjoy the moment. I honestly cannot pick a favorite menu item because I loved them all!! Already counting down until I'm back in Austin so I can return.

This is SUCH a delicious food truck! I spotted it on Yelp as we were in the mood for dessert and not sure what to try. After paying for parking we made our way over to the truck. There wasn't a line (it was a pretty hot day) so we managed to order quickly. We opted to split the Black Betty. It was huge!! I loved the blackberry sauce and fruit mixed in with the cream and sugar. This is one big dessert so I'm glad we shared it - honestly would be worth splitting a whole one amongst a few people unless you have a big sweet tooth! The staff were really quick with the order. There's ample seating by the truck which is probably nice for part of the year, but we were suffering on a hot summer day. I would highly recommend this spot - but keep in mind the weather as it's all outdoor and outdoor seating only.

I have been frequenting Gourdough's original food trailer on South 1st for a long time. I got a craving for one of their donuts and decided to make a trip. Gordough's is one of those places that fully commits to indulgence. I was able to place my order online and schedule for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

This was probably my dozenth visit to Gourdough's, and it never disappoints. After a full day of drinking, it was exactly what we needed--big, indulgent, over-the-top donuts that hit the spot every time. We went all in (as usual) with a couple of their loaded creations--one piled high with fresh strawberries and crumb topping, and another with bananas and crispy bacon. Total sugar bomb perfection. Messy, rich, and absolutely worth it. At this point, it's a must-stop every time I'm in Austin. Whether it's your first visit or your dozenth, Gourdough's always delivers!

The service was great. We got the ODB and big e-z. ODB is a must try and the big e-z was very classic (if you are a plain doughnut lover). The reason we gave it a full five stars is because of their MINI option, which allows us to try more things with an affordable price, and not having the urge to finish the whole thing--cause the full size is huge. The only downside was...you gotta pay for the parking now?! There should be some kind of parking validation or something...

I truly can't put into words how much we loved Gourdough's. The only thing I'm more grateful for than the donuts themselves is that we tried it on the very first night of our four-day trip to Austin--because it gave us three more days to go back and work our way through as many flavors as our daily calorie limits would allow. If you saw our many pictures, you'd probably think we went a little overboard... and you'd be right. But every single donut was somehow even more mind-blowingly delicious than the last. Yes, they took about 10 minutes to come out--but that's because they're made fresh to order. And it shows. Each donut was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, and absolutely loaded with icings, fruits, and decadent spreads. Every bite felt indulgent in the best possible way--pure, sugary bliss. Parking was a bit tricky at first, but we learned that going later in the evening makes it much easier (and they're open until midnight, which is a huge plus). The outdoor seating area has such a fun vibe, and we loved the playful donut-themed decor. It's the kind of spot that feels just as sweet as the treats themselves.

This place is a fat boy's dream! The lady friend and I stopped in one morning as we were passing through Austin. I did no recon work before I came so I overordered not knowing what to expect. I ordered a Mother Clucker and a Granny's Pie for me and a Heavenly Hash for the lady friend. Then we waited. These are made to order doughnuts! Woah! The Mother Clucker was huge! There was so much fried chicken on top of the doughnut that I thought I had sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese restaurant. I looked in the bag to make sure there wasn't a container of orange color sauce in there. There was a honey drizzle over it all and it sat on top of the doughnut. Even though it was large, the dish was rather boring. Maybe they needed a dipping sauce for the chicken strips. Granny's Pie was delicious. It was a doughnut with bananas, cream cheese icing, caramel, pecans and crushed graham crackers. The lady friend's Heavenly Hash looked great, but I was too busy trying to hydrate in order to not into go a diabetic coma. I don't know how I drove a car after this. I'm glad there aren't breathalyzers for sugar rushes, I would have gone straight to jail! This is not a breakfast food. This is a dessert shop. I am glad I don't live close to where I live, or I'd be even fatter.

This place was playing oh geezy as I ate the best donut ever. He prefaced that they're made fresh and it would take 8 minutes. The cream cheese frosting knocked my socks off and I did not anticipate it being a crisp fried exterior which a soft moist inside. Similar to a funnel cake but much more going on

Stopped In while visiting Austin. Love the feel with the cute vibes from the plentiful of seating. We chose the McGourdough sandwich and smashing pumpkin. I thought the price was a bit high for the sandwich but then it showed up. Sandwiched between two fresh doughnuts is a massive amount of egg and sausage. I'd def recommend. I had the smashing pumpkin mini. No idea how someone can finish that much sweetness in a full size. The mini was the perfect amount. The iced chai was very tastifully done also. The service was quick and easy on a Sunday morning. Plenty of seating as mentioned.

The best DONUTS in Austin! If you're craving something sweet, Stop by! Sweet & warm nothing but greatness! Service was slow but totally worth the wait! Only 1 employee & he did inform us before ordering that it maybe a wait. I really appreciate him being up front with us! Parking isn't free but super cheap.

The best doughnuts in Austin! I love coming here, I can never finish a doughnut but they also serve minis so I'd recommend starting with a mini doughnut.

Please, tell me you have a Gluten free one!!?

    No gluten free options

When searching for a monte cristo this came up is there a monte cristo made here?

Not at the food truck location. Maybe in the full service restaurant location though.

Do they still have build your own at the food truck? & why did they get rid of razzle dazzle :(

I don't think so but i May be wrong . It didn't say anything about build your own .

    What are the prices?

They range from $6-$8 depending on the flavor combination. They are huge! I'm a fat guy and love donuts, couldn't finish one!

From speaking with Tony Jr. today, they also have a restaurant in Pflugerville. I ordered jerk chicken, which fell off the bones and came with cabbage, rice and peas and plantain. I have traveled to Jamaica a couple of times, this Jamaican food was the real deal. The jerk chicken was a bit spicey but not set your tongue on fire spicey. The rice and peas along with the cabbage was perfectly seasoned. The standout for me was the sweet plantain, spoken like a plantain connoisseur. The plantain was sweet on the inside and slightly charred on the outside...perfect combination. The only improvement would have been for me to get a side of plantain. My food was delivered fast and hot. Tony Jr. was super personable and friendly. There is seating in the center of the food truck park. You hear tunes being played in the background. The food truck park is at the core of East Austin in a semi-residential area. Street parking is available for diners. I look forward to trying curry goat and oxtails and more.

I ordered an al pastor, lengua, and asada taco, and honestly, they were all so good. The asada was my favorite, but the other two were right behind it. The meat was flavorful, and the salsas had some heat to them, which I appreciated!!! My boyfriend ordered the chicken burrito, and it was just okay. The chicken was shredded and could've used a little more seasoning for my taste. I'm also not a huge fan of lettuce in a burrito, so that may have played a part in it not being my favorite. That being said, I'm definitely coming back because those tacos were SO good. Next time, I want to give the burrito another shot and order it my way.
