The famous National Park bear claw
    Chad K.

Had a really great bear claw. It was really good. It lived up to the hype. Light and fluffy raised cake filled with spicy apple filling. I bought a bear claw and walked across the street to experience the smallest National Park in the USA. I highly recommend the experience.

I'm grateful for reasonably priced coffee from a place that has a drive-through! I'm more than satisfied with their coffee quality too. This place is a winner! The family who ownes this place are kind and have pride in their business. They express this sentiment with pleasant smiles upon every order. If you'd like to dine-in, remember, there's also a National Park right across the street. I believe it's the smallest one in the United States. You can sit at the bus stop and sip your coffee right in front of the park. Lol!

Angel Food Donuts Updated Review: MENU: STILL continues to make theeeee best donuts on the block. The donuts are soft, moist, sweet, and delicious! I always get a dozen donuts and two bags of their donut holes. My favorites to get for my family are the old fashioned, glazed, buttermilk, maple bars, and sugar twists. I love how they have all the variety of flavors. You won't go wrong with anything you order. SERVICE: This joint is also family owned. They are so sweet, kind, and efficient. They have never messed up any of my orders and they always provide consistent, quality service. "DONUT" walk...RUN to Angel Food Donuts to try their delightful, divine donuts!

They deserve 100 stars. This place is so quaint and cute. The people at the register are so kind. The bear claw is awesome. The cronut is amazing. The little Bixby rocks are bite-size joy. Come and get some.

Decided to give this donut shop a try. The are a drive through donut shop but I decided to go inside. I was so excited to find that they have powdered lemon donuts. The donuts are large and fresh. I gave it four stars because for such a large donut the lemon filling was around the size of a half dollar. I will definitely stop in and give it a try again.

I was inspired to check this out after seeing this vid. https://lbpost.com/hi-lo/bixby-knolls-unites-to-save-angel-food-donuts-and-other-small-businesses Parking: Private parking and drive thru Seating: There is a table but not available due to COVID-19 it's mainly a grab and go spot. Feels: It's in the heart of Bixby Knolls so you're a walk, a skip, a drive from other Bixby Knoll eateries and businesses. The spot itself, you can't miss the big donut! Other than that it's nothing special, just the nostalgic feels of your busy local small business donut spot. Generally good for your on the run breakfast spot. FOOD: Striped donut (Recommend) The donut selections are simple we selected a glazed stripe vanilla and chocolate donut. Soft, doughy, and sweet. I dig it! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Swell! Friendly and helpful dude. Props for maintaining composure despite the line. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. I dig the spot, good selections, fresh donuts, and friendly people. It may not be THE spot to be but it's a good reliable donut spot if you're ever in the area of Bixby Knolls. Tips: *Check online/IG for any special deals. *For something savory also get their croissant ham and cheese.

Our favorite is the chocolate concha. It is crisp, fresh, and has the slightest sourdough flavor. I tried the dona one time and while it was great. It was just too much for me. Literally, we had to bring it home. I would suggest splitting this because of its size and it has a lot of almond and jam so it's hefty. I also tried their jamon which was sooooo good. I would get this again. For drinks we have tried their Atole, Dulce de Leche and Horchata with Cold Brew. My new favorite is the Horchata. It is so well complimented by the cold brew and it's so smooth and not too sweet. My husband also liked the taste he tried but he went with my now second favorite the Dulce de Leche. What I love about this place is that everything is balanced. Its not too much of anything just perfect. The concha isn't too sweet. It's balanced by the sourdough which is complex. The coffees which anywhere else would be a sugar bomb are just right. The sugar highlights the brilliance of whatever it is paired with whether that is bread or coffee.

My wife got the matcha which was fantastic and I got the Atole latte which was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. We even got some the morning we left town to make sure we had some to eat back home. Can't wait to be back

The team is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see customers. Their custom cakes are absolutely to die for and have been a favorite of mine for years. I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. The Midsommar latte is crafted with housemade caramel, espresso, milk, and topped with sprinkles of fennel and bee pollen - the perfect finale to an already incredible drink. There are also three tables outside that seat four, four, and two for a maximum of ten. The place fills up fast, but empties just as quick. And their baked goods go quick, so grab them while you can! I ordered the Cuban Empanada as an appetizer. The savory rice and bean filling was a perfect compliment to the sweet ripe plantain filling and hint of sweetness in the dough. They are baked and the dough is thick and chewy, so if you're not a fan of that type of Empanada, be warned... I ordered the Cuban Sandwich as the main course. It was DELICIOUS and I would recommend it to everyone! If you're a purist, like a few of my friends and family though, be warned. Their take on the Cuban is made with Ciabatta not Cuban Bread, Mozzarella not Swiss, and is toasted not pressed... I ordered a Vanilla & Dulce De Leche Cookie for Dessert. It was AMAZING! Soft chewy on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. The taste of a sugar cookie with little sugar bombs of Dulce De Leche throughout. Perfect. And I washed it all down with a Tres Leches Latte (Hot). It was DIVINE! Very much on the sweet side, which I absolutely enjoyed to the last drop. But, if you do not like it too sweet, you can ask them to lower the sweetness level. Also, they will give you an option of dairy milk (2%), almond milk, or oat milk when you order. Overall it was an excellent experience, for me. I will recommend it to all my friends, and will definitely be back!
