Foood looks good. Tuna sandwich with everything on it with cola & chips. Very tasty with jalapeño wedges, red onion, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, they put a twist on the tuna.

HUGE & DELICIOUS apple fritter (sorry couldn't resist)

Came back again recently and everything was good, minus the bear claw. I don't recommend this one but get the apple fritter and blueberry donuts FOR SURE.

I always pass by this place so i came by for the first time. Since i was craving strawberry jelly filled donuts. The setting was small but pretty simple and cute. The area is pretty narrow with the counter at the left while the tables at the right. I believe it is a mom and pop shop since there were only 3 employees. Two employees are an asian woman and teenager and they have a pretty thick accent. So if you are fluent in Vietnamese it can be useful. I also skipped breakfast so i had a huge appetite so i ordered a turkey sandwich on a sub. The teen was making my sandwich put it on a regular wheat bread instead but i didn't mind. The sandwich was my favorite part of my meal. It was incredibly moist for a turkey sandwich, It came out fresh and toasted, they asked if i want everything in it and i said yes. So, i had turkey, cheese, mayo, onions, tomato, green pepper, black pepper seasoning and jalapeno. I would definitely come back for a sandwich. Its better than subway's turkey sandwiches. And it was $3.25 and $3.75 for a croissant. The jelly filled donut was satisfying and they give you two free donut holes with the order. The donut was a glazed donut cut in half and there was just enough jelly. They have more donut flavors like chocolate chip and red velvet which i cant wait to come back for. My pineapple coconut smoothie came out perfect! They were a little stingy on the whipped cream but i didnt mind. It is balanced based on the flavor, and it was not too icy at all. Oh, for boba fans, they serve boba drinks. Just ask for it for your beverage. I like supporting small business, especially if they serve great tasting food like this, i definitely recommend this.

This time (yesterday), however, was not nearly the same experience. First of all, I realized we couldn't book a table for 8 people, so me and my friends book 2 tables for 8.30PM. I called asking if it's possible to put our tables together close or side by side, they said they will try their best. We all showed up at 8.30 and waited until around 9-9.15 because they only had 1 table ready. Ok. Come the time the other table opened and it's not even that close to each other. But it's okay, I respect the limitations on this part. No one came to us to take our order or even give us water until way later, and we got our drinks at 9.45. Another critique is that my friend called and ask how much corkage fee and they said $25. It turned out to be $40. Another disappointment, but it's ok. Not much can be done bout that part. Next thing is the food. We enjoyed the fried green beans. Crudo was really really salty, and it's not only 1 person thought that. We wondered if the kitchen mistakenly salted the fish twice. We enjoyed the peach salad. We ordered a few different pasta and the tagliatelle in particular was disappointing. It really lacked flavor that we had to mix the other pasta dish sauce to it. The pork plate was good, a bit small but we enjoyed it. Now the mussles and frites were disappointing too. The sauce just didn't do it for me (other friends agreed). I always talked really highly about Nonna Mercato (I also enjoyed the brunch so much) and always told people that this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Long Beach, but this one really missed the mark for me and my friends. I don't know if this would make us want to go to Summer Nights again next time. For $130 per person (after tax, tip, and corkage fees), I definitely hoped for a much better experience.

Our favorite is the chocolate concha. It is crisp, fresh, and has the slightest sourdough flavor. I tried the dona one time and while it was great. It was just too much for me. Literally, we had to bring it home. I would suggest splitting this because of its size and it has a lot of almond and jam so it's hefty. I also tried their jamon which was sooooo good. I would get this again. For drinks we have tried their Atole, Dulce de Leche and Horchata with Cold Brew. My new favorite is the Horchata. It is so well complimented by the cold brew and it's so smooth and not too sweet. My husband also liked the taste he tried but he went with my now second favorite the Dulce de Leche. What I love about this place is that everything is balanced. Its not too much of anything just perfect. The concha isn't too sweet. It's balanced by the sourdough which is complex. The coffees which anywhere else would be a sugar bomb are just right. The sugar highlights the brilliance of whatever it is paired with whether that is bread or coffee.

Their bread and pastries are always good quality and very nostalgic. Even though I'm not a Filipino, the flavor of their goodies are very similar to where I'm from. Some of my favorites are bibingkas (never go wrong with this), any weekend special donuts (ube or cream "cheese" filled donuts), ube cheez pandesal and cakes. I also like their pop tarts but they usually get sold out pretty fast. Their staff are always nice and personable. Check their instagram for any special items or any other updates (such as if they're sold out fast, or if there's any discount or if there's a long line). I still gave it a chance. It was okay, but it didn't have enough cinnamon for me. It reminded me of a Little Debbie honey bun warmed up with heavy cream. I was looking for a thick, gooey, soft center Cinnabon moment, and it just wasn't that. I took two or three bites and passed on it. We also got the marble coffee cake, the cashier recommended it, and he did his big one because it was excellent. We got cinnamon crisps too, and those were super good kind of churro like but crispier, almost like a tortilla chip but not really. Delicious though. We grabbed snickerdoodle cookies, but they weren't giving snickerdoodle, more like sugar cookies. Good, just not snickerdoodle. There were so many dessert options that it took us about 15 minutes to decide. I probably should've gotten the lemon cake or carrot cake instead of the Cinnabon. If I go back, I'm definitely trying a cake. But if you have a sweet tooth, they have tons of options and indoor seating, which is nice.

IF YOU ARE COMING HERE FOR THE CINNAMON ROLLS, DONT!…read more I've been on a hunt for the best cinnamon rolls in LA and this place kept popping up as one of the best. I'm going to explain in detail why this just isn't true. First, it's cash only. So if you decide to ignore my review and come, make sure you have cash. I got the cinnamon which was very huge. But I asked for the frosting on the side as I heard the frosting was insanely sweet and ruins the cinnamon roll. Honestly the cinnamon roll by itself was a lot better than with the frosting. The cinnamon roll was soft and had good flavor but just a bit overwhelming. I felt over it after 1 bite. So I added some of the frosting and WOOOOOOW it doesn't have flavor. Just pure sugar only. Yes cinnamon rolls are a dessert and sweet but this was like I drank pure sugar water. I tossed that frosting. No way people actually eat that. Do yourself a favor and go to cinnaholic down the street for a MUCH BETTER cinnamon roll Parking is metered and hard to find

You can tell the staff were a little nervous, which was to be expected. For example, we sat right by the kitchen and they came from behind us and awkwardly placed our food on the table instead of going to the front of the table like usual. This felt pretty janky and normally I wouldn't note something like this, but it felt unpolished. The wine list is decently expansive and had a wide range of prices, which is great! I got an orange wine (Russian River Valley) which was $11 for the glass; way better than a $20 cocktail. You MUST order the lamb belly souvlaki, that was the best bite of the night. It was extremely tender, yet the skin was lightly crisp. I've never had lamb belly before and now I wonder why I never see it on menus. One of the co-owners, Nicholas, came out and told us that his wife and co-owner, Kristin, is part-Greek, so she brought that inspo to the menu...I'm glad! I honestly think lamb belly would be an amazing main course...wow, wow wow. Next, I am adding this to the review because my friend went the day after: they said the pizza is REALLY good. I can attest to this because just about every table had it. The pizza has no flop, there's a nice char on the crust, and it has the perfect amount of "grease" you want in a pizza. The plus is that the cheese pizza is $22 which is way cheaper than the rest of the menu. Now I'm kind of regretting not getting it, but I'll come back and taste the rest of the menu. (I will update the review when I try the pizza). We also got the "bread service" with rosemary focaccia bread. It came with a side of olive oil and a very high quality butter. It was okay... kind of disappointing for a place that specializes in bread; it had a fluffy interior but a little too hard than I like on the exterior. Not enough rosemary flavor either. We had the Panzanella salad that was perfectly balanced between the tomatoes and stracciatella cheese, but the country bread "croutons" were a weird texture hybrid of too chewy and hard. The charred eggplant with beans dish was hearty and solid - it felt like a proper winter-y dish, but I wouldn't order it again though. The Caesar roast chicken could use some work, especially for $34. It was served on polenta with charred greens and didn't come through enough in flavor or texture. The chicken should have had a nice pan sauce, as the breast was a little dry. I saw other tables get the steak frites, which made me want to order a side of fries. They were visually very good but was about as good as diner fries. This is a huge miss. I'm hoping this gets a massive upgrade. It had no crunch and tasted slightly raw. Also, no side of any sauce whatsoever, either - should at least come with an aioli. I think your mileage will vary based on what you order. This is what I think would get a better review: get a pizza or two, mushroom polenta, and the spicy feta dip... I need to try the dessert next time as well. Although my review above sounds very rough around the edges, there's a lot of opportunity for polish. I still give it a 4! Total came to $126 including tip, which is pretty good for a date night with a TON of food. I would order less than I did, it's too much for two!

You have the option to buy them frozen to save for later, but they honestly taste best when you eat them fresh right at the bakery. A quick tip if you order online: Make sure to go straight to the front and let one of the many employees know you are there for a pickup. They only call out names for in-person orders, so you'll be waiting a while if you don't speak up! I also tried their new seasonal sandwich--the pulled pork melt and the very popular nonseasonal sandwich crispy chicken sandwich. Both were very filling and packed with flavor. Just make sure to eat these fresh, as they will likely get soggy if you try to save them for later.
