I loved my massage with Lily! She really worked through the knots in my back and would regularly check in to make sure the pressure was enough/not too much. I've been meaning to write a review about Angel Massage for years. I probably go in about once a month on average and always get a 1-hour (full body) massage. I've had a lot of massages. (My wife calls me a massage whore). I had several friends who became CMTs and was always willing to let them practice on me; so I've had lots of good and bad massages. Anyway, about them... You never get the same treatment since the therapist seems to determine your needs based on what they FEEL going on with your body. Sometimes you have to tell them to change the pressure level, but not often in my experience. I have no complaints. I've read reviews that hinted that shady things (happy ending) may be happening here but I don't believe it. They are very professional. The "private" massage rooms are cubicles closed off with curtains located behind the reflexology (foot massage) chairs. The Asian-style massage tables (headrest isn't adjustable) are not as nice as the western style but I can live with it. Sometimes nearby hushed conversations or adjacent restaurant noise is a bummer but I can overlook that for a $45/hour massage. I think it's a great value and a hidden gem in our community. Call ahead and make a massage appointment and they'll be sure a good therapist is on hand. read more

Ok so this place is awesome if you want inexpensive and a great massage. For only 40 bucks I recieved a full body plus a head massage plus a foot massage for over an hour. Be prepared to be straddled and butt massaged.. They really get all up in there, no shame here but ahhhhhh so good! Clean, quiet and you will probably hear an occasional snore here and there from over the wall. No private rooms just curtains. Still felt very private. I must admit, this place looked a bit "shady" from the outside at first, but I decided to try it anyway since it was so close to home. The space inside is small and dark (low budget establishment), but the staff is very friendly. English is definitely not a first language, but they do a decent job communicating with you. Once you get on the table you forget about anything everything else. They don't use your usual massage techniques you would find at places like Massage Envy, but instead more of a reflexology approach. Rather than only focusing on the usual muscles, they spend more time on your hands, feet and scalp also. They also use hot towels to help relax you and wipe lotion off your skin. (Some places don't do this so I have to take a shower when I get home) I walk out feeling refreshed and I'm happy to pay the $40. This is a true bargain for the price compared to other places if you are willing to look past appearances. I'd much rather pay less, ignore the "spa standards" people are used to and get a great massage than feel like I'm in a luxurious spa who would double or triple your price to pay for their expensive overhead. read more

I live just a couple of miles away and have driven past this place countless times in the last few years. But I have never considered dropping by for either foot reflexology and/or a massage because of the mixed reviews on Yelp. Instead, I would either go to a day spa or drive to a similar joint in Irvine. However, on our drive home today, I was having a nasty headache because my neck and shoulders were very tense. In the spur of the moment, I had my husband drop me off here so I could get a 30 minute emergency neck, shoulder and back massage. The place looks and smells very clean. My masseuse was Coco, a petite and mild-mannered lady with a voice that's barely above a whisper. I'm usually wailing in pain & agony at Asian massage joints but I did none of that today. Coco applied just the right amount of pressure - very firm but never crossing over to the point of pain - at just the right places and was able to ease my tension and take away my headache in just 30 minutes. I love Angel massage. I've been going here from time to time for at least 3 years. For $40, it's a bargain for a full body massage. I have had many different girls and the one man (or "guy"), and unlike every other review I've read here about avoiding the "guy", he is actually my favorite -- very strong hands, and that's what I need. FYI: I do go to other massage places too, for twice the money, and sometimes I am satisfied, but sometimes not, and that's when I kick myself for not going to Angel massage, where I always get relief from my tense muscles. read more

WOW! I recently came back from a two week international trip, planes, trains, buses...you name it, I was on it. Add a long standing neck/back injury and recent exercise and I was feeling sore! So I booked a last minute massage, 45 min neck/back/head with a 15 min foot massage. OMG...worth.every.penny and I only paid $40! Ask for Lisa, she is the hands down best I've had in years. I used to be a regular client here and havent gone back until today because of covid. I have the Angel "stamp" card that I previously filled up to get my discount for this visit. When I presented it, they told me they dont use the card anymore & refused to honor it! Obviously I was astonished since I have been a loyal customer prior to covid. I ended up tipping 10% because I was angry. The massage was great but they should have granted me the discount. Then after I gave my tip both the man (receptionist/owner and masseuse(woman) gave me blank stares and said "you give 20%." The guy said $5 more. Tipping is a privilege and you are never obliged to give a tip! I understand the lady may not reap the money from the massage but the fact that she was asking me for more tip and she represents the spa with poor practices made me not want to give more. ***UPDATED REVIEW*** additional star added: Decided to try this place one more time since my cousin says his experience was good when he had gone; also this was the only place that was open in my area at 8pm on a Sunday. This time around was better than my first experience--I didn't leave with scratches on myself and there was no horrid stench in the hole where the face goes in the table. The massage itself was pretty good, however I noted that my massage started at 7:45pm, and ended at 8:40pm. Not cool to gip your clients from the minutes they paid for. Another thing to note is that there really is no difference from their 60 minute full body massage and their One hour combinations massage (30 min body + 30 min reflexology) other than the extra $5, and the hot stones, which btw, are not worth it. The owner at the front wasn't as friendly as he was the first time I came, whether it's because he recognized me from my previous review or he's just grumpy by the end of day, I can't say. I've bumped this experience from from 2 stars to 3 stars as this would be one of those last minute and last resort type places for me. I don't understand, it DID NOT feel good one bit. I left still tipping generously ($10) since my major problem areas (neck and shoulders) felt soo relaxed. Also, when I had paid and needed change, the owner asked me how much I was going to tip her, so I almost felt bad if I had said anything less than the $10. I had left thinking, ok, other than the scratching and the stench, it wasn't so bad, maybe 3 stars, and next time I'll tell them to clean the table and not use nails. However, when I got home to take a shower, my ears STUNG--as in, she scratched so hard that she punctured my skin with her nails. Both ears had a mild infection as they were crusted over in that orange stuff our body secretes after wounded, and I continued to clean and apply neosporin daily until it healed. Have experienced that aftermath, I cannot give this place more than two stars, and that's being generous. read more

A pleasant atmosphere. Quiet, clean. It is one of the smaller establishments I've been to, but it is a nice place to visit. I have been going here for not quite a year ( 8 or 9 months). Sometimes 2x's a month ~ sometimes more. I opt for the full-body, 1-hour massage. First of all, it is not actually a "full-body" massage. Once I am on my back, I have yet to have my chest, stomach or thighs massaged. These areas apparently are a "no-go" zone, so I don't think it qualifies as a full-body massage. They use oil and even add very warm stones on your back. It is a nice touch. The masseuse speak very little English, but Google Translate or sign-language works. I prefer to get what some call the Swedish massage: NOT deep tissue. Just not my style. I go for relaxation, not physical therapy. The quality of my massages have been hit and miss. Minus the "no-go" zones, I have had what I would call two (2) very good massages in the months I've been going. The masseuse actually had good technique and pattern similar to what you would find in other Chinese massage establishments. Other times, I seem to get a masseuse who: a. is winging it, b. doesn't want to be there, c. is having a bad day d. scared of or. doesn't care for male clientele e. all of the above The gentleman at the front desk speaks very limited English and I have limited Mandarin, so we get along just fine. Don't mistake his lack of conversation as being unfriendly. The prices are far better than most places in South County. (Note: there are NO happy ending, don't expect it) They do massage your head a bit so your hair style will get messed up. They use oil during the massage and they use a hot/warm towel to wipe it off near the end of the massage but it's not a complete wipe down so you might still feel a bit oily. The oil is fragrance free. They massage your back, neck, arms, legs, shoulders, chin, head. The massage itself was just okay, not bad but not great either; like the rating says, I've experienced better. They expect a tip at the end. They'll give you a weird look if they don't see any money coming from you that doesn't includes a tip. I paid cash and I did tip ($3 cause those are the only small bills I had at the time) so I can't say anything about using credit. I have been going here for a little over a year. Not sketchy at all. Many women go here. Saturday's are very busy and recommend you call to reserve. Most other days you can get in with little to no wait. I have never had a bad massage here. I am extremely tight in neck, shoulders and hamstrings and I the various women that work there have always been able to adjust pressures to deep and hard to break up the tight knots. I usually go between 6 and 8 pm and get anywhere from 60 minutes to 120 minutes. With a 2 hour massage you walk out extremely relaxed. The foot massage isn't behind closed "doors/sheet" but the place isn't busy enough to be disrupted. They start with your head, temples and face, shoulders, arms then feet/legs. I've been to this place about 6 times now since it's so close to my work and 5 of those times I received excellent massages by various Asian women. The only bad massage was by the only man that works there. The other reviews are right: Do NOT let the guy massage you. He does not know what he's doing at all and it will be a waste of your money. Ask for any of the girls and you'll walk out happy. My fave girl is Jesse. She does a really good deep tissue. Love this place! Both full and chair massage are fantastic, I have enjoyed all my massages I have had here. They don't talk a lot, which is great. Perfect for migraine relief, tense muscles, sore feet, etc. Ladies, do not be afraid to go here, it is NOT creepy at all. Next time you have cramps? Go get a chair massage, you will not regret it! Its a big comfy armchair, not one of those massage chairs that vibrate, or the ones where you sit leaning forward. Definitely the best massage for the money in the area. I came in for a simple 1 hour foot massage after an exhausting week and got more attention and relaxation than expected. Despite the name "foot massage" it was definitely a full body experience. "Oh-la" (sp.?) was my therapist. She completely relieved the crick in my neck by using the perfect amount of pressure. She kneaded out all of my knots and sore spots without causing any pain. And when she got to the foot part of the massage I was so relaxed that I completely fell asleep. My body was so tense during the massage I finally told him to stop and not finish the whole hour. We called ahead of time and made an appointment for three people. The two ladies did a wonderful job. However, the man (who was the receptionist) did awful. I truly don't believe he has his massage license. He didn't do the normal routine that massage school trains you to do. He touched my feet for 30 minutes and then touched my back for 30 minutes. When I say 'touched' that's exactly what he did... there was no massaging happening. Even though the two ladies did a great job I wouldn't recommend this place. It's not as nice as some of the other reflexology places and they only have 2.5 chairs in the non enclosed room. There's one guy that works there and he's usually at the desk but yesterday they were busy so he did my massage. He really seemed like he was just a desk guy trying to fill in for a masseuse.
