Angel nails has the convenience of opening at 9:30am, so I can be in and out to start the rest of my day. I believe I've gotten 3 gel manicures here that have all lasted and not chipped for at least 2 weeks, if not more! I usually see Linh. She's super friendly and amazing at her job. We arrived on the day and I was told my appointment didn't exist and that I should have received a confirmation code. The front desk worker that I spoke with was very blunt and not at all helpful. Me, being a new customer, did not know about the confirmation code process and never received one. My sister, who had her nails done here previously, had said that was never the case. Went here because many friends and family members had great things to say. Wanted to get my toes done, legs and feet rubbed and such so I got the spa pedicure. When exfoliating, she used the corse exfoliant on the tops of my feet and scrubbed a little too hard. When Scrubbing the sides of my feet, she cut my pinky toe and it bled. She did a very good job on shaping my nails and polishing. I looked around at the other two women who were also getting pedicures. They got a lotion massage and their legs rubbed with this vibrating machine. I was curious as to why I didn't get the massages but waited to see if maybe she was waiting until after the polish. Once she finished the polish she gathered my things and brought me over to the drying station. She then asked for my payment, I gave her my card and when she brought it back the receipt didn't offer a place for a tip, not that I felt she deserved one, but I still would've given her a few dollars if I had the option. The pedicure overall was on the expensive side ($35) when I felt that everything she had done I could've done myself at home. I really extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Natalie was the technician that did my nails and she is phenomenal all the way around. My nails were severely butchered from a previous salon and she couldn't have been any more awesome fixing them up. She guided me through what she was doing and what would be best for me to fix up my nails. She has a twin sister that works there and both make the experience so fun with their friendly personalities. My nails have never looked so good, shape/color was done beautifully. Worst pedicure I have ever had. My son and his family moved to Middletown 3 weeks ago and I asked someone where to go and this is where they suggested. I have traveled the world extensively and before my husband retired we have lived in several locations throughout the USA. I currently live in South Carolina, but get my pedicures done SC, NC, Atlanta or Florida - cities I visit regularly. This pedicure cost more than any place and was the worse. She did seem to do trimming of toes well and polish. Asked for Madarin Honey scrub - did not know what that was she showed me her bottle of what she used. She used some kind of roller on my feet and legs, had never had before so thought it was something to loosen up legs before she massaged them - that was the massage, a quick rollover! Asked when she was going to do scrub she said she already did it was used up to ankles. Never had a scrub that did not include knees and lower legs. She then goes to get towels and I say are you not going to do lotion and massage 1st. She said no massage, just roller no lotion on legs. I tell her not to bother putting hot towels on my dry legs. I do not know if this is normal manicure for this area, but sure feel sorry for my daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters as they look for a place to get a pedicure. I then call my sister in Florida and tell her I just had a pedicure that lasted 20 minutes worse ever, she then tells me she just had one too and complained to me that it lasted over an hour and she really did not have time for it. Guess we are hard to please, but I will never go back to this shop and I will be visiting Middletown for 2 weeks in November and hope by then my family finds me a good salon for mani/pedi. I have been going to this nail salon for about 2 years now. I work in the industry. At first I was going to the owner, he did a great job , was nice , held a conversation, however had to constantly stop to answer phones and such. That did not bother me . After covid I was going to the owners wife. She was amazing, however had allergies and could no longer do nails. Prior to the o covid I had been sent to Lynne because I was needing nail art for my wedding. She was rude and did not like when I told her a nail looked crooked. That was ok. Then I took a break from getting my nails done. When I went back I was given Lynne once again. I decided to give her another chance. I went in for a pedicure and full set of acrylics. Her work was ok but once again she was rude and constantly tried to upsell me. Again I'm in the industry so I know what I like. She did not like that I said no. I thought one more try.... Well I had an appointment and my schedule got a little crazy after a 2 week vacation and I had to reschedule. I called early the day before and left a message that I had to reschedule. I did not receive a call back but later in the evening Lynne texted me asking if I was still coming in. I told her I couldn't and that I left a message. I then rescheduled for a week later. I walked in to my appointment happy to finally get my nails done. As soon as I sit down I'm being scolded for not calling when I couldn't make it. I said I did call I always do because I know what it's like since I'm in the industry . I tried to talk saying I wish I could have been there but my life was crazy. She completely ignored me and kept talking to co workers. Then complained my nails were stained. Well yes they are I'm a hairstylist and I got color on them. I said sorry. Then she kept answering her personal phone and not working on my nails. Finally I'm once again scolded and told I should come in sooner because she had to charge me more for fixes. Well not a single nail was broken and there was nothing wrong except length. I was done. I have never been treated like this . She was rude and had no desire to retain me as a client . What an incredible discovery. I was going to be passing through the area, on my way to NJ, on a Friday evening around 545p. After checking Yelp and reading the reviews, I called to see if I could get an appointment. A very friendly and completely understandable young lady, advised me they were no longer taking appointments for that evening, it was walk ins only. I decided I would drive by and see how crowded it was, especially since it was just off of the main highway. The place was packed, but not noisy and they were able to take me back immediately. I was set in the pedicure chair, asked more than once if the water temperature was ok and introduced to Tru, who would be taking care of me. Joyfully, I didn't get a menu of overpriced pedicure options and instead was treated to a well done pedicure. The technicians were all very friendly and laughed and joked with the customers, but not in an annoying way. Customers and staff all seemed happy to be there. There were men, women and children getting their nails done and all were being treated with the same respect and attention, that is rarely seen anymore. After my relaxing pedicure, Tru began work on my one broken nail and an acrylic fill for longer than most nails. He took his time, did not rush, and listened to my needs. I asked for them to be cut down some and he asked again to make sure I knew what I would be getting, I really appreciated that. He completed my fill and I was very happy with the outcome. When he told me the cost of my pedicure, nail repair, cut down and fill for long nails, I was in utter shock! The complete service was less than what I pay for the menu driven pedicures back home. I strongly recommend and encourage anyone searching in this area to give them a try. I really enjoyed Tru, but would trust any of the technicians there to do a wonderful job. Even though it was a Friday afternoon, I might have waited 5 minutes if that before someone took me back for my pedicure. It was one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time! My nail tech did a great job, so I want to say that up front. She was very pleasant, gentle, and my nails look great. I'm giving 2 stars because I don't think this salon is very sanitary. They reuse tools, nail files, and hardly wipe down the nail stations between customers (and I watched other stations around me, same thing). Every reputable place I've gone to has new sanitized tools that they open fresh from a shrink-wrapped pouch. They use new files for each customer. It's a big place, and they're very busy, but it felt like they were in a rush to just get to as many people as possible. Unfortunately I won't be back, despite being pleased with my nail tech and her skills. I just don't want to risk infection, and I hope that if the owner reads this review they might think about investing in the wrapped and sanitized tools and single-use files. read more

Came in today with my boyfriend for pedicures. They were great. And the price is perfect for a spa pedicure. I like that they are extra careful about hygiene and use the plastic covers in the foot basins. We were serviced by Daniella and Natalie they were great. Really cool girls. Very personable. Awesome pedicure and gel manicure! Andy was amazing! The foot/leg massage with the machine was everything. And you have to try the hand parrafin, wonderful. I had my nails done last week. Had the acrylic french manicure done for 35.00. The nails are peeling away from the top part by the cuticle. These were the powder acrylic type not gel. I had them done befor at another local facility for 20.00 and they lasted for several months until I had to go have them filled. I do not recommend this place. Great pedicures !!!! read more
