Totally unreliable, disorganized and would caution using them…read more I had spinal surgery 4 weeks ago, and despite the surgeon since informing that physical therapy should not be undertaken for the next 6 weeks, Care Plus sent a physical therapist's assistant within 3 days post op who put me through a somewhat rigorous program, certainly far exceeding my surgeons recommendation. Within a week I informed the service that I did not find the PTA help acceptable ( an appointment was cancelled by them within an hour of calling) and requested another qualified person, and this request was not positively addressed. I have since requested that the service send a person responsible for releasing me , and again I have had nothing but frustration in getting someone to visit and sign off. In response to this last call I was informed by the service that they could immediately release me telephonically, without the need to send someone to determine if I should be released. My assumption is that this agency uses semi qualified third party personnel to outsource the called for services. Personally I have no confidence in recommending this service to anyone needing post-op assistance

One of my current clients had said that they provided excellent HH care services. One of the best things I still utilized Care Plus is their Home caregiving services dept as they do help with LTC and short term care after hospitalizations or rehab stay as I found that this company still valued 5/5 Excellent Services to community. Case Mgrs can educate the clients well. They know its process paperwork etc and fairly helps people to make things easier and/or have smooth transition till they reach recovery that helps with ADL care needs. I still call them and the current staffing coordinators and the Case Mgrs promptly responding and attend and help some of our clients.

I was grossly disappointed with Care Choices' Hospice service. To start with, their contract and…read moremarketing materials are materially misleading, and internally inconsistent, in terms of the care that they actually provided. Their representative rushed me through the sign-up process without any clear explanation of the services that they were going to provide. Specifically, their communication to the parties involved (Assisted Living, the attending physician, and me) was vague, ambiguous, inconsistent, and confusing at a time when job descriptions should be crystal clear. It is Care Choices' responsibility to coordinate care and especially to make sure that "their" patient is being properly attended to. Hospice services are not just to provide a hospital-style bed and a wheelchair. As a direct result of Care Choices' lack of clarity, the Hospice service was waiting for the attending physician to treat, the attending physician was waiting for Hospice to treat, and the family was waiting for the patient to receive necessary care on a prompt basis. As it was, the patient's care was overly delayed, which caused the patient medical distress and the family members completely unnecessary emotional distress.

Secondly, you probably already know that almost all of these facilities suck and are many flavors of sketchy. NOT this place. The Orchards gives off a whole different and positive vibe from the start when you walk in the main entrance. Everything is clean, actually clean, even the patient bathrooms, closets, behind the doors, everywhere is clean. The ratio of staff to patients is SO MUCH better than other facilities my family member has been too. I believe there's maximum 50 patients. The bedrooms are next level. They have 4-5 options ranging from a shared room with two people, to completely private with your own bathroom and living room/lounge area, obviously at a higher price point. But even the shared bedrooms are awesome as they have a closet/cabinet that divides the room, not just a sheet. Makes it so much better to have that division. ***Most importantly the Rehab staff is AMAZING!!!*** The amount of effort and thought they put into the individuals rehabilitation program is far greater than any other facility we have been to. They aren't trying to milk the process and allow people to just sit doing non productive activities just so they can bill for it. They're constantly assessing and evolving the game plan as they go. 10/10 best team of therapists. hands down. bar none. The staff communicates extremely clearly and reach out if they have pertinent info in regards to my family members health, progress, and well being. Which is something I've never experienced, usually I have to track people down and it's like pulling teeth to get answers or info. The food is good, and comparably to other places it's the best menu I've seen. Don't get me wrong it's not gourmet living but they have solid options. When you see a plate of food, it actually looks a cooked meal, not school lunch slop. They also have off menu items like sandwiches and what not if your family member is a picky eater. If you got this far in my Mega novel of a review then you obviously are deep in the process and looking for answers. Again, sending you all my good energy and if you can get your family member into The Orchards, don't hesitate and end up in another depressing SH**hole, pull the trigger and give your family member the best chance at success. Heather, Fiona, and Lisa were equally amazing in PT and OT; their expertise, encouragement, and dedication played a huge role in her recovery. Our only regret is that we can't return on a private-pay basis to continue PT/OT, because my mom left stronger than when she arrived.
