I have been coming to get a two-hour massage from Jane'e about every two weeks for the last year…read moreand a half. I started out at her Florin Rd location and now have followed her to her Elk Grove location because she is so good that it is worth the 45 minute drive each way for me. I have a chronic connective tissue disease that causes severe painful swelling of my tendons, fascia and the formation of tight scar-like adhesions beween my muscles. I have been using massage therapy for about seven years to manage my pain and I have probably tried at least 30 different massage therapists. Jane'e is the best. Hands down. My condition is painful, yet requires firm deep tissue pressure and techniques to break apart the adhesions that restrict my movements. I have had other therapists who have been effective at breaking up the knots- but never have I found anyone else who is able to know just where to press, for just how long, to get at the adhesions with a minimum of pain but maximum effect. She is the only therapist who succeeds at giving me a relaxing experience, while at the same time using the very deep pressure I request to break up those knots. She is also amazingly intuitive at feeling the areas that need to be worked out, without my needing to tell her. Of course, she will happily customize the massage to focus on the areas I want focused on for that session... but she has the skill to search out and loosen the specific areas that need it even without me directing her. She will often find knots or adhesions I didn't even realize were causing a problem and work at them until they loosen. She has a very impressive style of massage where she incorporates elements of passive stretching and flexibility/extension motions during the massage that help her isolate and loosen muscles in a way that most therapists don't do. She is very skilled at therapeutic use of hot stones, and will target the heat to the muscles that need it. She is very strong and perfectly capable of very deep pressure, but she also has fluid motions and smooth transitions and can give an equally skilled light-pressure massage for when one doesn't need or want the deep muscles worked. I give her the highest endorsement possible for her skills and professionalism. She offers reasonable packages/memberships that make getting regular massages more financially feasible and the terms of membership are far less restrictive than the chain spas. I'm so happy that I found her....
