I decided to give this nail salon a try being that they are nearby and open till 10pm. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and assigned to Amy within 2 minutes. She recommended I get gel extensions which I did. She was very polite, friendly, quick and very good. Towards the end, i was given a nice 5 minute massage for free. You can pay i believe $10 for a 10 minute massage. There are at least 35 nail techs both men and women. They also provide eyelash extensions as well. Definitely will go back to Amy. read more

I have been getting acrylic tips for years and NEVER have I EVER gotten fungus until I started coming here again. I seen that they DO NOT wash their utensils... I used to come here all the time and people told me they have gotten fungus there. I stopped going there for a while. Do NOT get your lashes done here! They use too heavy of lashes and ended up damaging all of my natural lashes. I paid for them to get done and took an hour and a half, and on top of it they all fell out after 5 days and I had to get them done again obviously somewhere else. But they didn't even last a week. I've been coming to this salon for nearly 10 years, back when they were this tiny hole in the wall with just a few stations and pedicure chairs. They've expanded to a much larger salon now, and the service has not declined at all. There's hardly ever a wait, walk-ins are always welcome. They work quickly, but the work they do is very thorough and professional. Always friendly, and they tend to remember your name and what you want done. Angie and Lily are especially great. Not only are they the best at eyebrows and gel manicures/tips, but they also are some of the sweetest women in there. Angel tips in the Whitestone shopping center is horrible. There gel colors are watered down and after 2 days change color. They told me to come in and wanted to charge me to fix it. They are rude and obnoxious. The salon is very dirty and unkept. They reuse the water for the manicure and the nail clippers and cuticle removers are not being sanitized. Thus, explains why so many people in Whitestone are getting nail fungus. Never going back! read more

This place is so unhygienic. I don't think a single thing was sterilized before being used on me... I understand people go here for late hours but it's really not worth it. Andy was really sweet and was careful to do his best while doing my pedicure and massage. I didn't bother to get the name of the woman who did my manicure though because she was absolutely awful. She kept talking--not sure to who because 1) it was in her language, and 2) no one was responding back to her. I asked her to keep my nails round shaped and she said yes, but proceeded to cut and file them square. the polish was so thickly and unevenly coated on. It was only $8 for the mani--but I'm actually pissed I paid anything at all for it because I would've done a better job myself at home. Sky Nails not even 5min away from here has the same price, and does a way better job, and is much more clean. They may not be open as late but I honestly just book an appointment for the next morning at Sky rather than pay for this again at Angel. If you need a late appointment, you're better off going to Kim's Nails, also open till 11PM. The only good thing I enjoyed was the fact that my friend was able to get her nails done after wanting to do them for so long...and if giving them the benefit out of the doubt, perhaps the 30min massage for $24--which was still subpar. This place is such a dump! Filthy and old beat up pedicure and nail stations. The whole pedicure my nail tech chatted with the nail tech next to her barely looking at what she was doing to my feet. This place is my go-to. Their hours are awesome and allow me to stop by after work or anytime after a busy day. They work fast and keep everything nice and clean. They have a wide range of services which are great for getting your nails, lashes, and waxing done all in one trip. They also give great massages! This place is great if you are in a rush because it's huge and they have so many nail techs. That being said the cleanliness is really an issue. They now line the pedi tubs with a plastic fitted sheet kind of thing but it seems pretty cosmetic. When you come in at the time they open, they are mopping floors, swatting flies etc.. I have never been to a place that has such a fly issue. They seem to focus on acrylic nails and gel Manicures and pass you on to inexperienced techs if you want a regular manicure. One of the worst powder dip gel manicures I've ever gotten. I wanted this to work because I moved here recently and have been searching for a salon. Nails are chipped, lifting, and peeling after less than a week. I was serviced by the manager. She did not ask me about length and cut them too short. She did not ask me about shape and filed them mannishly square. And that, they lack uniformity. A mess! I've been getting powder gel for a very long time and I know the routine. Four dips. She did three. She didn't say a single word to me but spoke enough English to answer the phone. I had to put 1 star because it wouldn't let me post this otherwise. This place gets ZERO stars because they are awful. Out of approximately 15 employees only about 2 actually know what they're doing. The rest do NOT know how to follow instructions. They do the exact opposite of what is requested. That might also be due to the fact they barely speak or understand English. I've gone here twice. This salon was highly recommended to me, and I'm somewhat disappointing. I started coming here for gel manicures earlier this month in order to grow my nails evenly for my upcoming wedding in August. The previous posts are correct, it's like a factory in there. They get annoyed and give up your seat if you take too long to pick a color. The workers are very quick and "polite," as long as you remember or know to bring a cash tip (I was unaware my 2nd visit that this was policy -- my 1st I happened to have singles on me -- so she was sweet until I said I had to go to the bank. I walked in the rain to get cash, went back to give it to her, and she could not have cared less.) My nails have grown since then, but, the gel, which was supposed to last 2 weeks chipped both times. The first time a lot came off on multiple nails. This time it was better, my 2nd and 3rd fingers on my right hand chipped in the bottom left corners, which then led to my actual nail chipping as well. Sigh. My first pedicure was good, this time it was maybe the worst I've ever had. My first gel manicure cracked -- this one did too, but not as bad. Needless to say, I won't be going back and now need to find another place and I only have 1 more gel manicure before I get the one for my wedding ... not too comforting of a feeling. read more

Slim pickins, I tell ya. But, there was Angel Tips and it had a single 4 star review. Good enough for me to at least try. I'm really glad that I did. I didn't have to search any further. Angel Tips is clean, extremely friendly, amazing value (especially on weekdays, I think a pedicure is $13!), and they have a frequent customer card, which I think is nice. I deduct a star because it is not Salon Tiara. It lacks the adorable decor and camaraderie I witnessed between the staff and shared with my old nail girl. Came here to get SNS gel powder done and I was taken by a nail tech as soon as I walked in. She did a decent job although I was not completely satisfied with my nails. I came with my friend who got her lashes done, she was not happy with her lashes. They did not look full, she looked like she had lashes missing and told the lady who did them, but she still didn't fix it. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Jason gave me a gel manicure and although he is not a bad skilled nail tech he does not listen to instructions. I asked him to paint the edge of my nails and he kept saying he would at the end. Once all was said and done he said ok finished and never painted the edges. He gave me an attitude and walked away leaving who I think the manager is Leo to do it instead. I usually go every 3 weeks on a Thursday at 6 to see Jessie but this week I had an event and had to go on a Tuesday, my regular person was off so they offered to give someone else, i thought, what would be the harm since i usually go to a great person, they would give me another great person. WRONG!!!. Just to go single lashes, it took 2 hours!!!! Plus, the way the new person put the Tape down under my eye i advised her 3 TIMES that it was hurting and touching my eyeball, she proceeded to continue and also press down on my eye. After what felt like forever and 1 other person stepping in to assist , i was finished . She sat me up with the tape still on my eyes and advised me to open and see how they look -_- how? , so i took the tape off myself , and got up to leave . I still planned on paying and tipping but when we got to the front , the guy who I am assuming is the manager took my ticket and asked if i planned on tipping after he saw that it wasn't written on the receipt. My thing is, don't bagger people to tip, wait until they do because even though my service was not up to standards, it took TWICE as long and the discomfort , not to mention both eyes still being red and swollen the next day( not the glue) , i still planned to tip and tip WELL but him asking made me want to put my wallet away and walk out. ESPECIALLY because he wasn't aware of my service. Needless to say. After going for months and having such a good experience with Jessie , this one time was way off and i will not be returning. I typically only get regular manicures however, I decided to try gel powder extensions because of the recommendations I've gotten. It's was a horrible decision. He made the nails too long and extremely thick and when I asked if he could shorten them he groaned and acted displeased. Annie does a really good job and she makes you fell very comfortable throughout the process. They have different styles for different prices. The first set I got I paid $98.00- I got 3D and double. For that price- ESPECIALLY IN NYC- that's a huge steal. For the people complaining about prices- go to Manhattan and let me know how much they're going to charge you for just standard 60 lashes. I've been coming to Angel Tips for over 10 years and I feel like the place has gotten worse over the years. Their pedicures are not thorough, some workers can be very rude, and they don't care to listen to you when you ask them to redo something. Last week I went in to get powder tips and the nail tech they gave me was not very experienced and didn't know what she was doing. I asked for short nails since I hadn't had tips in over a year, and I left the salon wishing they were shorter as they still felt long. (After asking her multiple times to shorten them) She even glued one tip on crooked and when asking her to redo it, she gave me an attitude. After 5 days of having the tips, one started to come off and I had to go back to fix it. I told the owner that they needed to be shortened as well since the nail tech I had the previous week kept them too long. They still charged me even after it was their fault and tips shouldn't be coming off in less than a week. Don't higher your prices if the services given won't be better. read more

Been going here for 3 years! I get my eyelashes, pedicure and nails done from here and have always loved the salon. Plus $10 but 10 min massage! Who can beat that? Yesterday I went to get my nails done. I ALWAYS have tips on and get SNS. I told the owner(female) I have tips and need fill-in. However here they don't do fill-ins they take the color completely off. She begins to soak my nails. 2 seconds later I'm passed off to another girls, I explain again I have tips. She soaks my nails and sees her regular customer who does not have an appointment and LEAVES ME! So another comes she then says to me as she buffs everything off my nails $55 dollars for ombré powder and tips. I flipped. I'm not paying for new tips because I kept getting passed off and they messed up. The male owner then says $45. As she is filing my nails she see her regular come in, once again no appointment and LEAVES ME! I now flip. I have been left by 3 people. The male owner comes to do my nails after seeing me upset. He ask what I want, I show a picture and then he huffs and yells to his wife "her nails were not that long". I didn't say to make them long I was simply showing a picture of the ombré design I wanted my nails the length they were. This was now the SECOND time I was attacked and called a liar. So I yell at him that you can't call customers a liar and if you let me speak you wouldn't look like such an idiot. He then try's to claim he never called me a liar and he only wants to make me happy. He tells me "you can have nails as long as you want". No duh I'm paying for them! I wanted my nails the length they were before they took the tips off. He made it seem like I was trying to cheat them. After shaping my nails he gets up and starts dealing with the mass people that walk into the salon. He tells another girl to finish my nails. I am now up to 5 people who I have been passed off to! Thankfully a male worker saw me upset and came to do the 10 min massage so I calm down. You think that after making me feel like trash they would throw the 10 min massage in for free but nope. Nothing. As I left the wife smiles and gives a passage aggressive "see your nails look nice" "see you soon". They have now lost a valuable costumer!!! Updating my review. Originally gave 3 stars because Jessie does a great job on my nails but whenever I get them done by other people it doesn't last. Now- it is down to one. The manager is extremely rude and made a scene when I came in to discuss how I wasn't happy with a service. I was apprehensive about returning to the nail salon so I went to check it out. Pedicure chairs are separated with plastic curtains and they are only using every other. The manicure stations are also spread out and there is a plexiglass divider between you and the technician. Masks are required for everyone. Technicians are also wearing goggles and/or face shields. Hand sanitizer is readily available. I would recommend and appointment. They also have one table set up outside. It felt as safe as it can be so I stayed for a manicure and pedicure. read more
