Just moved to the area and needed a local nail salon. The service was great! My pedicure came out wonderful and I opted for the foot/leg massage which was nice! Tired and worn. Needs a refresh badly. Wallpaper peeling on walls behind stations. UV lights have seen better days, and a lot of use, mis matched And dirty. Nail files,tools, equipment, furniture all are all overly used. Wax room has paper taped to the walls. Fresh coat of paint, some new furniture, new equipment would really make the place upto date. Even the polish selections are sad looking. Seems like the owners have squeezed every last bit of life out of everything in the place. Service is inconsistent some days better than others. Willing to pay for the service if the salon is kept and maintained . This location is in need of new life, once was a great place. Time to find a new salon. read more

My friend and me wanted to try a new spot, we were a walk in no appointment . We had an overall unpleasant experience . We both got a gel pedicure . Wasn't given options on what they offered but repeating regular pedicure so we said yea not knowing the extent of it but assuming the basic . Barely scrubbed our feet, they still feel rough and not smooth . Her water was cold and he was constantly getting up . Didn't do any lotion or massage....oh wait they did it but after polish ... very strange. Left polish on my toes that is simple to wipe before the light . Went here for years before the pandemic & had great service. Started going back again within the past year. Couldn't figure out why the whole vibe was different. Turns out it is new owners. Not as busy as it used to be. I keep giving it a try but each time I am unhappy with my nails. The tech is so frantic to go fast, my gel nails are not smooth, my nails are not filed well, pedicures are super fast, taking gel off with rotary tool that burns your nail bed, no quality. While I appreciate, they did not increase the price (which I would expect in this economy), they are using the poorest quality supplies. The nail files are tiny & barely file, they look like the type you would get for free in a hotel or something. Unfortunately, I will not be returning after all these years. First I went in for a gel manicure. After having my old gel polish removed I saw damage on my nail beds. So I asked for regular polish instead. The lady was displeased with my decision and proceeded to file until I bleed. She acted as if nothing was wrong and up charged me to take previous polish off $10. By far the worst pedicure I've ever had. They couldn't do what I wanted, however I made a date with friends so there was no backing out. There are still calluses on my feet because there was literally NO attempt at it. Cut my toe nails so short it HURTS, you can see my nail beds and on top of that, didn't even clean up excess polish on my skin. I went in to get a pedicure after MONTHS of not being able to and this was just awful. And to top it off, charged me an extra 5 dollars! Excuse the disgusting pictures, but being real, not impressed! Be advised they don't take American Express! Cheapskates! And they don't have a sign in the window. Only until you get up to pay is there a teeny tiny little sign. Totally embarrassing situation and the owner was a total b- about it. I had to go all the way home and get a different way to pay. The girl who did my nails (Grace) was good (and nice). Walked in asking for dip nails they said yes then after picking what I wanted said they couldn't do it with dip but will do it with gel. We have always had a good experience here, both pedicures and back massages. Decent pricing for a basic pedi ($25) but can get pricy for fancier ones with foot/leg massages. The people working with us the last time we went for pedis did seem a bit distracted as new customers entered the shop a few times, but other than that they did a good job and were attentive. Avoid this place at all costs. Went in for a full set of acrylics with normal polish and had them done by Tina. She made the acrylic so thin that 3 days later 3 nails had snapped in half. The nails cost 55$, so I went back in and showed them and the lady who works the desk told me my appointment wasn't in her book and acted like I didn't get them there. I then decided to pull up my bank statement, which blew her mind and she called Tina over to show her. Tina rudely looked at me rolled her eyes and stormed away. They then pushed me to the side for about ten minutes so I asked if I could have a refund and they refused. they agreed to fix them but only the three broken ones. After fixing them they couldn't find the same polish color and refused to repaint all the nails so they tried to paint them a different color. I then told them don't bother painting them and went home and did it myself. I told them all the nails needed to be fixed because of how thin and they refused, so two days after they fixed the three Two more snapped off. He snapped his fingers when he wanted my wife to do things. Very unprofessional. He also tried to overcharge her when she was finished. He said the manicure was 35.00 when the board clearly stated it was 30.00, he was obviously trying to fatten his tip up. . He recalculated when called out in the carpet. just moved to wading river a few months ago and found this great salon in town. they always have such peaceful music on and everyone is very attentive. there are a lot of chairs and always a lot of people working. i've only waited about 15-20 one time because I forgot to make an appointment on a busy Saturday day (ugh!) but every other time I made an appointment, even 30 minutes ahead of time i've gotten right in. my gel manicures always last longer than two weeks, i just go back because my nails grow so fast. got a pedicure today that included deep callous removal, clay leg mask, 20 minute massage & pedicure for only 50$! that's a steal. the woman Cindy was very gentle. will be coming back for this again!!! also when I get my eyebrows done, they've never looked better! read more

My sister - n - law visited this nail salon and had a terrible experience. She can't believe she was made to feel so badly about her natural nails. The nail artist working on her was a younger, late 20's man. He made her feel badly about her nails being short. Throughout her experience he talked in English and his native tongue about his opinion of her short nails. He continued to lift her hands and look at her finger and not perform his duty giving a manicure. He would look and scoff at her nails and aggressively throw her hand away from him. It was embarrassing to the establishment that nobody else working there stepped in.. like management.. and make the repetitive behavior stop. He was laughing at her during her hour and long experience because of his opinion of her nails. I decided to try Angel Tips because it's closer to home than my usual nail salon. What a mistake!! It took the guy twice as long as my usual place to apply SNS, I paid more than my usual place, and it only lasted three days before chipping!!!!! My usual place lasts 4 weeks! When I went back on Monday to complain and get my money back, I was told I needed to come back on Friday when the owner was there. On Friday I called and spoke with who I was told on Monday was the owner, but she told me she is NOT, she is only the manager, and that they do not give refunds. She got very nasty with me too! Went back and they fixed the nails that were chipped and added another top coat to all my nails. Came back one more time for a gel mani and once again, chipped within 4 days. The worst nail experience ever. I asked for acrylic nails and the lady seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. I literally could have done a better job. She made the nails so thick and chunky and when I asked to file them down she insisted they would break. As she's filing them she completely rips my cuticle and I shouted out in pain. I've had different technicians, and every one of them so far has done a perfect job. The gel manicures last until they grow out--I've never had a chip issue. I always get gel manicures and they had no match colors for toes and nails. You have to hope for the best that you pick two colors that will match. Cost is higher than most nail salons I've been to. Went back and lady she doesn't see it!! Asked if I could get it fixed another day since she said no bc were already busy and she said no morning all week, then she said 11:30 for in a few days & walked away to do someone's feet. Very rude. Didn't take my name or write it down. While we were there another lady came in to get nail fixed and they said no, try another time. Don't seem like they want to help. WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Kara absolutely destroyed my nails to a point I did not think was even achievable by a nail SALON. I have been to this salon numerous times in the past for it's location but this was by far the worst experience there. I figured since I was just taking my powder coat from my main salon off and getting a regular manicure done they couldn't mess it up. Welp I was beyond wrong. For starters she left my hands soaking in the acetone for the longest they have ever been soaked to the point my fingers were pruned and hot burning feeling. When she finally returned and started pulling the powder off she was scraping my nails with the tinfoil to try and get the remainder off instead of just using a file and pulled on my nails so hard she cracked about 4 so low that I had no choice but to have them filed to nubs . Let me keep in mind I bit my tongue this entire experience only chiming in to coach her in filing my nails more because NONE were evenly filed and mostly jagged , I literally could keep going on and on with more little details that prove the whole experience was just wrong but I'll end on the note that while I'm at the drying station she came over to collect my money right after adding another clear coat to my nails so they obviously were super wet and insisted on me paying than. Literally opened my bag for me to try to help and took my wallet out of my bag and started opening it until I asked her if I could Atleast wait until they were dry. She said ok and walked away I dried them for about another 5 mins and could not wait to get out of there already so I took the money out for her ruining an entire nail completely because of it. I did mention it to the owner manager whoever explains it was the worst nail experience I've ever had and I would have been better off doing it myself at home in which she just replied with a sad I'm sorry. The salon itself is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. This was my first time in this salon and the gentleman did a great job on my pedicure and manicure, however I will NEVER go there again because the woman who answers the phone and I guess does appointments made a very insulting gesture about an overweight woman upon her leaving the salon. She blew out her cheeks and put out her arms as to imitate an overweight person. And all the employees were laughing. I was so upset.
