We were seeing a show at the Lyric and I was super excited to find this highly rated place just down the street. We headed here early in the evening to give us plenty of time because I wasn't sure if there would be a line. When we got there, we managed to snag a table- there were a few left- but things did quickly fill up and there was a solid line by the time we left. The waiter took awhile to come over to us. We asked him if they sold pizza by the slice, and he told us not on Lyric event days. Totally fair. He then disappeared. We spent about 10 minutes trying to get his attention, before finally flagging him down from across the room to place our order. We ordered iced tea, the meat pizza, a calzone with ham, and fries. The iced tea came to us in a bottle, which I didn't realize. The fries came out first and they were pretty good. We asked for ketchup, then he disappeared. We flagged him down again a bit later to ask for ketchup and he said they were all out. The calzone was actually pretty good- I was a fan, but the pizza was not delicious- just not flavorful or memorable in any way, I was very ambivalent about eating it. We flagged him down again towards the end of the meal and asked for banana pudding, at which point he said okay but also gave us our check- I guess because the line was building up, he started to try to hurry us. The banana pudding was pretty good! Overall, the meal was pretty mid. Maybe it was an off night, or they just don't do well when they try to be a bit fancier- if it was just a slice and a bottle iced tea place, I would have been a bit more generous. But the waiter disappearing multiple times, the long wait for food, running out of ketchup, and the mediocre pizza left me a little sad. That being said, I'd give them a second try. read more

Just had the weirdest experience at this place; my local pizzeria and one of my top favs, flavor wise. Even though I was 'compensated' for the error + the time; that ended up being more than I was told. Being asked what is wrong with my pasta even though it's painfully obvious that it's pesto and not the peppery - I was quite offended, ngl. Before leaving I asked if it's right since they didn't show it before packaging it. They said yes, and I roll out. At first glance it looks right but why are there black olives? ---- For context, I have order this menu item before (see 2-16-26 attachment) so I know what it's supposed to look like. Not only that, but their website menu provides a clear image of all their menu. As an introvert, their website format and content is great. Tonight, I placed an order as I entered and I even told the waiter (blonde one) that there was no need for rush cuz I just placed it. I sat there and waited 5m past estimated time on the web, they was getting lots of costumers so I don't want to pressure them. But she forgot all about my order because it had been ready and I ask the usual guy (soft baby face nice guy) to check on it for me. He hands me my order, I leave. I walk to my place, get home, serve the pizza and I get to my pasta. I opened it and it looked like tradicional pesto not the creamy one. Didn't even bother with it, I called them I can take it back, no problem, just want the right pasta. They give me a 20m ET and I left my place after those 20m. I get there and I'm expecting them to have my pasta ready to go, but no. Instead, the lady supervisor(?) takes the pasta, maybe talks or goes and forth with kitchen ppl. Then after 3m comes out to ask me what is wrong with it? *internal screaming wym? * I mentioned the nice guy cuz' even he can see that that looked like pesto. I had to show them the 2.16.26 image for reference, almost pulled up their website so they could understand that it was clearly not the right pasta. Nevertheless, lady acknowledges it after the guy agrees with me, at this point I was contemplating asking for refund and just go. But "Mr. nice guy" kindly offers me something to amend the error and after a brief thought I take it and he tells me 2 more minutes, which eventually turned to 5-6m. (50/50 moment, I don't mind since I'm close by BUT the place was packed and my social anxiety was spiking). Yes, I took a seat to wait. Then, my pasta comes out. I don't get to see it since they bag it before they pass it to the supervisor lady, she bags but does not show it to me to make sure it's the right one. I trust, leave and I get home ready to devour and in my pasta there it lay the not so friendly black olives slice... ---- :D their Divalo Pizza was delicious, I give them that for today's experience. Any other time, they really get my order and my stuff is good. The chicken in the pasta sometimes is a tiny bit undercooked but if you pop it in the air fryer it comes out super good too. I've had the opportunity to try Angeli's twice now and both experiences were pretty good. Each time I've ordered take out and it's been ready within 20-30 minutes. I love that they have two gluten free crust options available including cauliflower and gluten free flour. The first time I opted for the "Angeli's Pick" pizza which comes with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms and red bell peppers. I asked for the mushrooms to be taken off and they followed instructions accordingly. Overall, the flavor was good. The second time I got a pepperoni pizza and that was also good. I also tried their wings which were okay but not anything mind blowing. Is it my favorite gluten free pizza in the entire city? No but it's a close second and I'm glad to have a reliable and fast option nearby. read more

First time at Baltimore and had to stop to get some food after getting off the train. Was craving some wings and pizza. Tried their diavolo chicken pizza, the Miro special, the portabella mushroom and the buffalo wings. Paul was great, got our orders in and let us know food would be out in 15. He brought everything out piping hot. We loved the portabella and the miro special pizza. We also started putting the portabella on the crust and eating it that way which was just great. The wings also hit the spot with the blue cheese dressing. Great food, great ambiance and great service! I went into Angeli's pizzeria a few days ago to try some of their pizza and I was greeted with hot air and sweat coming down my forehead. It was cooler outside than inside the business. I was disappointed by my experience here, but not because of the food. What stood out most was that there didn't appear to be any air conditioning while the staff were working. It was extremely hot inside, and the employees looked visibly uncomfortable while continuing to prepare food and serve customers. The cooks were coming in and out of the back with tons of sweat pouring down their face, can't imagine how it felt back there. No one should have to work in those kinds of conditions, especially during hot weather and especially 100 degrees weather. It's concerning for both employee well-being and the overall dining environment. I hope management addresses this as soon as possible and provides a safe, comfortable workplace for their staff. Because as we all know that is a health violation. Until this issue is resolved, I don't feel comfortable supporting this business. read more

We are new to the city and were exploring on Christmas Eve. When close to home, we saw Angeli's was open and decided to stop in for dinner. They have other locations around town, but from what I understand this one is new. The inside was bright and cozy with table and bar seating. Our server was very friendly and took great care of us. We ordered garlic wings and a slice of cheese pizza each. The wings were delicious, very tender and juicy with a nice char. The pizza was also great. I loved the flavor of the sauce, it was a good amount of cheese, and the crust was a good flavor and texture. I appreciated being able to try this spot tonight and will definitely return! read more

Angeli's is our go-to Friday night eating out experience. This was our first time at this location, there were a couple of booths for our family of young children. My husband's go-to drink is the sangria and we usually get the large pizza, half-cheese and half pepperoni. I ordered the fettuccine pasta and meatballs for the first time. Was a bit underwhelmed by the sauce, so I probably won't order pasta again by the pizza is consistently tried and true. Since this is closer to home for us, will def come back! read more

Came with some friends here because they have vegan options and a good reputation. Nice ambiance and good service. However, I think the cook must be confused between vegan cheese and regular chese. Ordered a vegan pizza but the pizza we were served had mostly real cheese with a small sprinkling of vegan cheese on top. It was very bizarre and when we asked the waittress about it, she checked with the chef who told her only vegan cheese was used. But to someone who is vegan and knows the difference, it was clear there was mostly regular cheese. Whether nut-based, oat/soy-based, or coconut-based, the texture of vegan cheese and the way it melts is slightly different from regular cheese. We could even see just looking closely at the pizza the subtle difference between the two, and when trying it could tell the difference in texture. Fortunately none of us were lactose intolerant, but it was very disappointing as I am vegan and was looking forward to enjoying some good vegan pizza. We didn't press the waittress any further but I don't think I'd come back here after that experience. read more

I saw all the good reviews of Angeli's and the Belvedere location was close to where we were, so we stopped by on a Friday night around 6:30. We ordered a pizza and calzone and they were very, very good. The food at Angeli's deserves the stars it's been given and I'd rate it at 5*. The service was disappointing. The bartender was covering the tables and even though the place was not that busy at 6:30pm, I had to flag him down. The pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the calzone never showed up. He says it was given to another order, but it felt like he forgot it. He was nice enough, so a 3* for the service. As we were waiting for them to remake the calzone I noticed that most people were getting carryout. I think that's the right move at Angeli's . The food is worth getting, but don't eat in. read more

So happy this place is here! My first time ordering I tried the garlic wings, spinach mushroom appetizer, and a slice of cheese pizza for good measure. The spinach and mushroom dish was a lot spicier than I expected but the flavor was great. The wings were excellent.. charred and flavorful, coated in minced garlic. The pizza slice was very good- the crust was crunchy oun the outside and soft on the inside. I can't wait to order again and try more! The price was a bit steep but all the ingredients seemed very high-quality. Glad there's a solid pizza place back in this spot! read more
