Our food also arrived quickly after we placed it. I ordered a mushroom sandwich with a side of mushrooms. The side of mushrooms were sautéed and I liked that they were flavorful without being oily. The sandwich was huge. I split it with another person to eat it. The bread was my favorite. It was perfectly crunchy and moist and reheated well in an air fryer. I liked the sauce in the sandwich, which was creamy/zesty to me. I liked the other vegetables in it as well. I wish there was more mushrooms and more prominent. Zella's is a neighborhood hidden gem. I came here to support a friend of mine whose photography was being hung in the restaurant. I loved the immediate attentive service upon entering the restaurant. We were promptly greeted and asked if we needed anything. We ordered two personal pizzas (that are also big enough to share with another person). There are fresh ingredients available and a vast variety of options. The pizza was a 8/10. It could have been cooked a tad bit longer. The mozzarella sticks weren't my fav as they were overcooked a bit as the cheese was oozing out of the actual cheese sticks. Their signature marinara sauce was 10/10. The menu selection is extensive. I will definitely be back to try some additional items. I love the neighborhood feel inside the restaurant. Stopped in this past Friday evening for a quick bite to eat and I'm glad we did. We kinda it there on the later end of the evening since the kitchen closes at 11pm. So we grabbed two 10 inch pizzas, the meat classic and the spinach and artichoke. Both pizzas were really delicious. Also the service was prompt and courteous. Definitely will be back. Takeout Night Win! It was takeout night and my family was craving pizza but definitely not the commercial chains like Pizza Hut or Papa John's. We wanted something local and full of flavor, so we gave Zella's a try, and they did not disappoint! I ordered the 10" beef pepperoni pizza with a side Caesar salad, and everything was delicious. Decent pizza spot with affordable prices. One time I ordered my pizza on the phone for take-out and when I came in to pick it up, I saw they had a carry-out special ($11 for a large 1-topping pizza). Would have been nice if they mentioned that over the phone. The next time I used their carry-out special offer and ordered sun-dried tomatoes on my pizza. Got a large of Zella's Special gourmet pizza (minus the ham) and it was GREAT - and that's coming from someone who typically prefers veggie to meat toppings! But they use REALLY good, top notch quality ingredients (and that makes all the difference to me). Oh man, the Zella Special has caramelized onions on it, too - and those were SPECTACULAR. Beautifully sweet and full of umami - better than any other caramelized onions I've had on pizza before. Their sauce is really well flavored and they do a great job balancing the ratio of sauce to toppings to crust. Only fault - which is really just my own personal preference - is even though it's thin crust, the crust leans a little thicker and chewier. Can't wait to come back to try some more! read more

They're very short staffed due to the manager's HORRIBLE attitude. He in turn takes this out on customers and whatever employees that are working. Ive heard him curse at his employees while I sat at the bar with no remorse it made me want to say something to him myself. He is very rude and impatient with customers as well. We used to enjoy coming to Zella's on our lunch break. We would sit, eat and talk but something has changed. The first time we went on 3.14 we called in an order and sat in. We were not greeted properly and upon asking Baran a question about management and service he stated he greets people depending on their attitude. We in fact just walked in and sat at the bar (due to us already calling our order in ahead). We did notice that there were all new people (the workers were sitting at the bar eating). Today 3.19 I was told that I walked out on a check (in which Baran stated that we did not have to pay for the one soda we ordered). This place has changed so much within the past 6 months. My "well done" wings were fried into jerky. They were so burnt that I had to throw them away. Just SHRIVELED. The pizza could have been delicious but appears to have been made by a toddler. It's a 14 inch crust with like 10 inches of toppings, and all of my pineapple were just piled in the center of the not-thoroughly-sliced pizza. There's hardly any basil, and they use fat cherry tomatoes as opposed to slices of tomato. Nothing about any of this makes sense and I absolutely will not be returning. Zellas has become a goto pizza for delivery. Their pizza travels well with the crust being nicely chewy, almost like a naan. Good sauce, quality toppings. They use toast for delivery which means minimal communication about arrival time but pour last divery was on time. We have settled on the origial special with roasted pepper, sausage, pepperoni, cheese and sauce. When we remember to ask for the crust a little well done, the pizza is even better. read more

The food here is chef's kiss. With Hollins Market closed, I wanted to try somewhere new and hopefully better. Eating from here at least 2-3 times a month has become a habit. The inside and outside of the restaurant are always clean. If there's not a game playing on the television then there's great music in the background. I will say that it tends to get crowded in the evening. The last time I was there picking up an order of 2 meatball sandwiches for almost an hour and I wasn't the only patron waiting to be served.
