Okay... no harm done, but this should be a 2-star review. Be aware that Angelia's is ONLY a mobile service. I don't see any mention of it on his Yelp page. It's a guy in a truck who'll come to your house or car or whatever, and that's awesome... but he should be CLEAR about it so people don't waste their (and his) time with other needs. I have 3 new, uninstalled, locks to re-key and called to get Angelia's address so I could bring them by. To his credit, he told me up front it's a $65 charge just to show up, then a nominal re-keying charge per lock. I told him the locks were still in their packages, and that I didn't want to pay for travel, and he informed me it's just a mobile locksmith, no office/workshop where I could bring the locks. The rates seemed fair, and I don't begrudge the guy his travel charge, but I didn't need or want to pay for mobile locksmith service and wouldn't have called him had I known there's no there there. Then I asked him if he could recommend another good locksmith, a colleague or someone he's friend's with perhaps, with a storefront. He laughed with unconcealed derision, and said, "You think I'd send business to a competitor? I don't _have_ any friends. MY FRIEND IS MONEY. You can look it up yourself." I said, Yep... you're right. I will. He wasn't intentionally offensive about it, but I'll never call him again. He's got no sense of serving the needs of his (potential) customers and I wouldn't want him opening my car door. I've had vendors refer me to their competitors when my needs didn't fit their services, even when there might be some competitive overlap. I always respect a business that does that, and I do it with my own business... but this guy? It's all about the CASH, baby. Again... I didn't use his service, and he may be the best locksmith ever to walk the earth. The third star is a gift given his brushoff treatment. read more

Installed new locks for a new home. Responsive, showed up on time, and even called that day to confirm the appointment or see if I wanted them to come earlier/later...really let me know they could adjust to my schedule. I'm terrible with names, but I believe his name was Bob?...he was the one who showed up and not only installed 3 new deadbolts and hardware in a quick amount of time, but also gave me some advice on maintenance and small things that may come up that would be an easy fix on my own over time (such as, if the thumb strike on the door handle were ever to start jiggling, etc...). That may seem obvious, but for me, let me know he was going above and beyond. To top it all off, they were THE most reasonably priced locksmith's that I contacted. Reasonable price without sacrificing any service, and if anything, went above and beyond. I really suggest using them in the RVA area if you need a locksmith! read more

They showed up at appointed time, diagnosed and replaced a commercial entry door striker mechanism plus a malfunctioning deadbolt on different door. Friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. They will be my go-to locksmiths from now on. read more

I called during the day about having locks on my recently purchased home re-keyed. Bruce, the owner, came out that night (5pm) and did them all for $115.00 ($55 for the visit and $10 per lock). This was less than half the cost I was being quoted elsewhere. Bruce was very knowledgeable and even advised me on one lock being recalled and how to get a free replacement from the manufacturer. All in all, excellent service! read more

My technician arrived right on time and his name was Ethan Chenault. Ethan was first class all the way. He performed a 29-point inspection of my entire garage door system and shared with me in great detail all the components and their function. Ethan then worked up a quote and I agreed on the spot to have the work performed that same day. I ended up getting an all-new motor, brackets, springs, keypads, rollers, etc. When I tell you I could not be happier it's the God's honest truth. In a post COVID world having a TRUE PROFESSIONAL in 2024 is like a breath of fresh air. A1 Door charges a high premium and in my opinion it's worth every penny. The icing on the cake was when my wife came home and was more fascinated by the new door than I was. She found it remarkable that the same door and rail system could magically become so QUIET. We both kept saying to one another "Can you believe this is the same door?" My old LiftMaster was from 1999 and had a great life. My new garage door is the quintessential leap into the 21st century. I about hit the floor and called him out but he said that's the cost. So I wouldn't get the cops called on me, I paid it, and was going to call the manager to get it squared away. I ended up speaking to Robert who is the owner of the Ashland branch and explained to him that I was expecting a $70 quote not a $600 bill and the garage door was still not working. He said I signed a contract, but I called him out on that because I never signed anything and he admitted to the tech drawing line through my signature spot. Fraud? He then even agreed that I should've got a quote first, and even told me I should've refused paying and called him directly ( impossible to get a hold of anybody at that company as they use a third-party ). I requested half of a refund which I thought was generous. He strung me along for a month and I could never get in touch with him. I had to even fake a tech call from my wife's phone number to actually get a call from him. In the end, he blamed the company owner on not giving me any sort of refund. Absolutely horrible service and borderline illegal. I've submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Virginia to have them handle it.

These guys are fantastic and very quick in an emergency!! I called a few places when I got locked out of my house that not only had overpriced quotes for a simple service, but they also gave 3+ hour windows for when they could arrive. The technician that Angelia's sent arrived in less than 30 mins, was super friendly and got the job done at a great price. I was taking care of a friend's cat and locked the bottom lock - not realizing that it was not the same as the deadbolt key. The locksmith was out within the hour and rekeyed the bottom lock to match the top lock. Quick service was of the essence to save the "starving" cat. BTW - all this was with the OK and direction of the owner. A locksmith is not going to open just anyone's door for you. read more
