We ate at Angelinas tonight and the food was exceptional, portions were huge. i ordered the carbonara, my sisters had chicken parm and bolognese they were all delicious. For dessert we split the lemon raspberry cake, what a treat. Our waitress Ashanti was amazing. Just the sweetest young woman, friendly, knowledgeable, and very competent. We loved her. Slowwwwwwww service when the place was just about empty. Asked for bread, was told it was not complimentary, we said no problem we still want it. It came out stale! We never leave bread behind but this was legit awful. Food was okay. The last time I got the same meal, it came out much better. This time the parm cheese was literally from a shaker kraft jar. Last time it was real shaved parm cheese. The gentleman next to us had been twirling his CC for fifteen mins waiting for his check after he'd asked for it twice. See ya! My expectations were high but dashed when I got my meal - veal parmigiana. It was a round formed veal patty and not fresh veal. It was tasty but not what I expected. I should have asked our waitress. Disappointing. The wait staff, Sage, was great but food maybe a 5 at best. I will give it another try - maybe. read more

This was the choice for this months girlfriends date night. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive to checking on the food and refills needed. The menu isn't large, but plenty of options for all sorts of tastes. I like they focus on making the best and good quality food than a bunch of choices. I have a list going forward of what I'd like to try next. Bathrooms were clean as was the restaurant. There is outdoor seating, I would recommend using their website for reservations. We went to Angelina's to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful waitress.. the food was delicious.. A wonderful couple heard it was our anniversary and unknown to us, they paid our entire bill plus tip. Our waitress informed us about this and we were truly surprised and touched !! That couple made our day even more special and we would like to say how thankful we are, since they did not make themselves known to us. We will definately return again !! read more

This was our second visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our first meal but this second one was more of a mixed bag. First, the good. We dig the new atmosphere, it's cozy and quaint with a few modern touches that make for an enjoyable setting. Our server was excellent and quite funny. The cauliflower appetizer and sweet potato fries were excellent. Less good: it took forever to get drinks. Our party of 4 each ordered a cocktail from their fancy cocktails menu very soon after being seated and it was ~45 minutes before they arrived. And when they did, only 3 of them came out. The other one was a few more minutes still. Our hot appetizer arrived before the drinks did. We ordered a second drink (simpler beers this time) before receiving the first ones. The fancy drinks were tasty but the wait for them was kinda ridiculous; they may want to scale back the fancy offerings until they have a better system or more help behind the bar. The menu is quite limited. Check it out before you go. Last night they had a delicious-sounding squash ravioli with mushrooms and sausage which 2 from our party ordered. Unfortunately both eaters found it extremely bland and flavorless and we had to request salt and pepper. The burger and fried chicken sandwich were both fine. Nothing remarkable but solid. Again, great sweet potato fries though. We'll try it again as we really enjoyed our first outing. Hopefully they can address some of these early days hiccups. The menu is very limited I understand why with the current economic situation. With that said my companions meal and mine were sub par. The pasta ala vodka looked like it was poured out of a jar and then microwaved. My meal of chicken parm ramen was tasteless and difficult to eat it was a piece of chicken breast floating in a bowl of ramen noddles that were tasteless. I had previously had lunch there and it was fantastic, however this meal probably be the reason we never go back. read more

Steak tips were decent, chicken sandwich and burger were sub par. If you fancy yourself a good restaurant, don't serve frozen pucks and call them hamburgers. Beautiful decor. Only one waitress, waited awhile for her to come to us, didn't ask if I needed another drink until mine was gone and I was done eating. Only two small pieces of bread that were dry, never asked if we wanted more. I had the chicken piccata. Three and a half very small pieces of plain chicken meat, very dry despite the sauce on them. My husband had the salmon which he said was good. His potato fondant was very hard. We told the waitress, she said that is how it is supposed to be ( should have been creamy on inside and crispy on outside). His plate was all orange colors, no contrasts. Menu descriptions were fancy but our food didn't match. Waitress did apologize for the wait and for the potato. read more

Attended the "Chef's Dinner and Wine Pairing" on 8/12. The new owners completely revamped the 'old pub' feel with a modern touch. Well done. Wow! The chef nailed every course. Even the octopus was perfectly prepared and cooked. The oysters Rockefeller included a crisped topping (artichoke?) that added depth to the appetizer. Correct portions for a six course meal meant we enjoyed every course and did not leave over stuffed. The wine pairings complemented every course. Even the wines that we thought we did not like as much (when first tasted them alone) came into their own when paired with the food. I know this was not a standard menu nor typical wine list. However, I will definitely be back to see what the chef does on a regular basis. read more

We had a reservation for 4 and got right in on time. Ordered drinks and one of us ordered a salad for before the main course. An unusual amount of time passed and server said she was going to check on the salad and it eventually came, a couple minutes (barely started salad) later a runner came with 2 plates one was for our table one was not part of our order, then we got 2 more entrées, one person in our party was still missing a meal. Server came and said it was delivered to someone else's table by mistake and they would rush it. Everyone at the table had pretty much finished eating when it finally arrived. While we were waiting the server told us manager/owner was aware of the situation but no one ever came to the table, they comped the late meal but could have done more (we didn't ask for anything). To top it off the server tipped a water glass over when clearing the table. We still left 25% tip, it's sad that Management couldn't own the kitchen logistics issues and defend the server. Servers have terminals that send orders directly to kitchen, it's unfortunate they can't figure out how to get the food from the kitchen to the table in a timely fashion. We had high hopes for this place but it was a huge disappointment. Food was ok, they should consider cutting chicken cutlets in ramen bowls, not sure how you're supposed to cut up a slab of chicken floating in a bowl of soup. Honestly they could have comped the whole bill and we still would have been disappointed. An apology from management would have gone a long way, it's unfortunate they don't support their servers. read more

My family and I have been frequenting Angelina's since their opening and always enjoy coming here for dinner and drinks. Angelina's is an absolute gem! The craft drinks and martinis are absolutely top-notch -- expertly made and full of flavor. Dinner here is nothing short of amazing, and the daily specials are truly divine. Shoutout to chef Joe and the team! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a night out. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Angelina's is a nice addition to the Sturbridge dining scene. We are very fortunate to have so many local restauranteurs who want to improve our options for destination dining. They did a really nice job on the remodel of the restaurant. I do wish they would take down the televisions at the bar though. The service was excellent and the server was very knowledgeable of both their cocktail and food menu. It was clear they were proud to work there. The food was good. Not exceptional but quite good, comparable to other local venues like The Duck and folks the void left years ago by Rovezzis for cute ambience. I didn't try their desserts but I hear they're fabulous. I wish Angelina's huge success. read more

The food seemed to be cooked from frozen--not overly fresh and very bland. My husband's steak was pretty gray and looked more like a pork chop even though he ordered it medium-rare. Our server was very polite but at the end, handed us the check with the itemized order folded underneath the QR code to pay. After using the QR code, we unfolded it before leaving and found out it was the bill for the table next to us, about $100 more than what ours would be. Ordered online and was given a 25 min duration for pickup. Arrived 23 min late so was worried food would be sitting. Was told the bar never gave the order to the kitchen (we ordered through their online ordering system) so we waited about another 10 minutes since all we ordered was salad and two apps. Decided to add a dessert while waiting. Although not expected was surprised they asked for payment for the $8 tiramisu we added while waiting an hour. What a cool new little place in Sturbridge! A very large bar with unique drinks such as the Frozen in Thyme which is a bourbon based cocktail with thyme and sage, delicious!! My wife had lobster ravioli, which was a special and she loved it! I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and was served on a bed of quinoa and some fresh vegetables. It was great!! Was recommended here by a couple friends. I ordered a Crème Brûlée I think they said it was French toast however I couldn't help but taste a distinct freezer burnt taste. The area around me and my husband was very crowded and very loud. I wish I could give this restaurant another chance but I got my appetizer before I got my drinks from the bar; I also noticed that the margarita I had ordered was very potent and not what I expected to have; and I also tried a sip of the water which tasted alot like dish soap and a hint of tap water.. My server seemed very all over the place and hardly checked in on how my meal was going and when the time for the check came I had to wait almost 20 minutes for it to come. read more

Okay...so this is hard. We have been her 3x and the hostesses, food and ambiance are AMAZING! We always sit at the bar...drinks and food; WONDERFUL! BUT, with 3 bartenders and a bar that isn't full...the service was awful. I HATE to say this as we definitely will be back...but I HAVE to say it because some people may NOT be back because of this. Thankfully we weren't in a rush because we waited almost 20 minutes after our appetizer before we pulled someone over to ask for the specials (finding out there was an app special we would've liked) and then asked to put in a dinner order before they walked away.After we received our dinner I asked for a refill on my wine and the bartender started filling a "carafe " and walked away and left it. We waited about 15-20 minutes and then grabbed another bartender to finish my order. By that time I was pretty much finished with my meal. The food is wonderful!
