It was in 3D with color. I was a bit skeptical because of my experience at sage dental but they said not to worry. After going over some of my goals for my smile I felt so relaxed. The dentist understood everything and answered all of my questions. After that I got to relax and watch my show on Netflix because they had TVs mounted on the ceiling while you get your cleaning done. Now the cleaning was such a peaceful moment. She cleaned my teeth with so much care. There were three flavors of toothpaste for the cleaning. I got to try the cinnamon and one other. I really enjoyed the cinnamon but decided to stick with the other that I cannot recall. I even got walked out and was gifted a tumbler too. I absolutely love my new dental office.

Dr. Martin immediately came up with a plan to move the teeth to create spaces for implants. When the spaces opened up he attached Pontic teeth, so I wasn't left with giant gaps. Other orthodontics that I had talked to gave the option of shoving all my teeth together, which would have deformed my side profile and bite. Dr. Martin is the most accommodating and personable doctor I've known. His staff is the sweetest and is always apt to advocate for you. Several times they've made me retainers absolutely free. It was a long but truly rewarding experience. I would never have chosen to go anywhere else. I couldn't thank him enough. He's changed my life.

I went to pick up my retainers and had a disappointing experience. First off, this happened over a month ago, so things may have changed. They have you call from outside to get your temperature checked, and make sure you're wearing a mask prior to entering. There is spacing of lobby chairs to help maintain a safe distance- which is really great during COVID times. What was unfortunate was hearing a patient talking to the staff member at the front desk, whose was wearing her mask under her nose, and complaining about "Dr." Fauci and the fact that COVID deaths were being over-reported for doctors and hospitals to get more money. This went on and on as I looked at others sitting in the waiting room and we all shook our heads. Why have us go through the motions when you won't wear your mask properly and are going to be very vocal about how it's not a real thing? It was highly offensive as I know people who have passed because of COVID and it's highly unprofessional in a doctor's office. I was called to the back and the technician was wonderful. I vented to her and she was clearly unhappy with what they'd been saying. She let me know that she alerted Dr. Dann to this and he was going to address it. I really appreciated her. As I was leaving and passing another desk to pay, the woman at that desk was wearing her mask under her chin. She had it under her chin last time I was in the office too, but I figured I'd caught her at a bad moment, so I didn't think too much of it. Seeing her with it like that again was a bummer. Especially since the dental techs are in full PPE and all patients are wearing masks. I know we've all had to adjust to this time and I know wearing the mask for an extended period of time is not great, but I wear my mask to protect those around me and, in a doctor's office, I expect that same respect and not to have to hear someone's opinion on "*doctor*" Fauci (she said making parenthesis with her fingers). Most businesses are good in the beginning, but after they receive payment, things tend to change. I'm glad this was definitely not the case with AM Orthodontics! Initially, I was referred to Dr Moopen by my Prosthodontist to straighten my teeth as a precursor to my treatment with him involving implants and correcting my bite. From my first visit (consultation), I felt the staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Dr Moopen said he would take care of me and he'd do the best he could considering my unique situation. After agreeing to start treatment, I was informed that the braces would be on for about 2 years. They put white porcelain brackets on my top teeth so it looked more natural. On average I would do quick follow ups every 2-4 weeks during the process. Depending on the day of week, would depend on which doctor I would see. Because of my schedule and availability, I ended up being seen by Dr Jason Latham probably 80% of my treatment. All the doctors were wonderful, as they always made me feel comfortable, were thorough, and explained things so I could easily understand. They left detailed notes each visit for my Prosthodontist and always had open lines of communication. I really appreciated the collaborative teamwork. The front desk and ortho assistants were all wonderful as well. Each of them knew me by name and were all super nice. After 27 months, my treatment ended and braces removed. My teeth were straightened and looked so much better than when I first arrived. I could not be more pleased! I can honestly say that this office of professionals have been one me of the best medical experiences of my life. I also want to give special mention and appreciation to Dr Latham. I truly cannot thank him enough for his work, professionalism, and comforting personality. It's obvious to me how much he enjoys his job and genuinely cares about his patients. I was really sad my last visit because I knew my time there was coming to an end and I would no longer be seeing this awesome staff anymore. I received a call today informing me that they no longer accept my dental insurance as of January 1, 2026--for an appointment scheduled on Monday, May 4th. What makes this unacceptable is that I made this appointment after January 1, specifically because that's when my insurance became active. This should have been identified and communicated long ago, not days before the appointment. To make matters worse, I was also told that my son is "too old" to be seen by a pediatric dentist. This was never explained to me at any point. I did not realize that dental pediatrics differ from medical pediatrics in age limits, especially since pediatric medical offices regularly see patients until 18 (and sometimes older). I have spoken with this office at least three separate times, and my son even had a birthday in April--yet no one mentioned this during any of those conversations. When I questioned why this wasn't addressed sooner, I was told they "neglected to inform me" because they didn't have Delta Dental's phone number. That explanation makes no sense, considering they were already on the phone with me multiple times and could have clarified this at any point. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of follow‑through, and disorganization. Unfortunately, this has been yet another disappointing experience with a dental office, and it's very frustrating to have things fall apart due to issues that should have been addressed from the beginning.

I was asked to sit and wait until he was free. My son and I waited and after about 20 minutes, a manager comes in and says, "You need to leave or I will call the police". I was thrown off and replied, "I just asked to speak to the Doctor". She then repeated herself. I never raised my voice, cursed or said or did anything that would require police intervention whatsoever. I felt ashamed and completely humiliated.
