    Small Buffalo Chicken Pizza
    Ken L.

We ordered takeout and tried their pepperoni and Buffalo chicken pizza. It was very oily and not great. My first bite was just a bite of pure oil and I had to really blot the rest of my slices. The pepperoni pizza was very bland and flavorless, which is weird since pepperoni is supposed to be cured and salty. The buffalo chicken was fine, they use a lot of hot sauce in it. We asked for the ranch on the side but there was still ranch on the pie. The dough wasn't bad. The chicken they use isn't fried, it might be grilled chicken. Pickup was pretty easy and didn't take long. It's nice that they open late until 10pm too.

Overall, Angelos pizza is not overly exciting, but is decent. The best flavor they have has to be the white which is topped with tomato and ricotta. Staff is always nice! They get pretty busy during lunchtime because the have a lot of orders come in from the hospital across the way.

When we moved to Pittsburgh from NYC five years ago, I worried that New York style pizza would simply be out of reach forever. Luckily we found Angelo's. Angelo's cheese pizza has everything you need in a NY style pie -- thin crust, the right cheese-to-sauce ratio, mozzarella melted to the point of sliding off the slice but just a little bit. And the fact that you can just grab a slice... it's a dream. Specialty pies have the right amount of toppings. Don't forget to grab some mozz sticks or garlic knots to round out your meal.

Excellent pizza. Hands down the best in the area. Sicilian as well as regular both are tasty. Order early cause it may take awhile but worth the wait

Clueless staff. They took forever for one small pizza. How do you take an order in person, the person sits in front of you 25min, then you forget whose order it is for? Tell that blonde older haired lady who works there to pay some attention. GOOD, I WILL TAKE OUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. I had 2 other people get there after me, place their order and leave. If you expect a quick "stop by and grab lunch" DONT! AVOID! - The food is good - The service is poor - The ambiance...well, it's in the hood so don't go.

Stumbled upon this pizza joint while at West Penn Hospital and wow.. can I say I can't wait to return to the hospital just to get this pizza again? Upon entering the staff was sooo personable and nice. Like, super super great! We were in a rush so only got to try a slice of the Sicilian and a regular slice, but both were fantastic. Lots of cheese but the dough was sturdy enough to hold it up. No soggy pizza here! The ranch was also delish. Excited to try a hoagie next time!

    Why THI$ Pizza $23

had heard about Angelo's since the restaurant opened a few years ago; as a first time customer I was sourly disappointed in the overall product; the toppings were generous and the sauce had a good taste; what left something to be desired was the curst it was flat, lacked texture and flavor the baking process made it chewy and flat. The overall price of pizza in general is out of control and this was no exception $23 for a 2-topping pizza is outrageous; as a consumer I/we had choices; my decision will be to spend those dollar$ elsewhere in the future.

Apparently this has been an issue in the past as well.

SKIP IF YOU'RE AT ALL CONCERNED WITH COVID None of the cooks were wearing masks in the middle of a global pandemic. When I asked the cashier to refund the order she became indignant, lied saying that they were wearing masks and that the Health department said they could take 15 minute breaks from wearing them. Neither of those things are true. If you're leaning over a pizza COVID isn't going to take a 15 min break from spreading. Honestly, since moving to their new location, their food hasn't been as good amyway. After 10 years it's time I find a new pizza place.

Even though it was late we were greeted with exceptional customer service and were seated at a table. Our waiter, Remi with an I and not a Y was absolutely fabulous. He made great suggestions and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the 16 inch pepperoni with bacon. My daughter ordered the pepperoni roll and my wife ordered the meatballs and 2 Bianca slices. My wife's name is also Bianca so a double bonus. Our food came out about 15 minutes later and everything was piping hot. To my surprise the pepperoni came with the real bacon strips on top and not your average bacon bits. The sourdough is top notch as well. I ate 6 of the 8 slices while my daughter ate two along with her pepperoni roll. My daughter enjoyed her roll but did wish it had more cheese. My wife enjoyed her meatballs. They give you 4 and are a decent size. She was only able to eat 3. The Bianca slice is a healthy thick slice. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Driftwood. The service was OUTSTANDING (Remi). The food was good. We ended up staying 20 minutes past closing and didn't notice any change in customer service. This place is definitely worth a shot.

As a new Yorker, it's so very hard to impress me when it comes to Pizza! I'm the pickiest! A true pizza snob! But this place was well worth all the hype! Underrated if you ask me! We were told there would be a wait, but our pizza was ready right when they said it would be. The staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Parking was a little tricky because of the location, but it was definitely worth it! The standout feature of this pizza for me was the flavor of the cheese (especially when paired with onions) that combination was easily my favorite part. They use a very generous, thick layer of cheese, which creates a rich and indulgent pizza. The cheese is quite oily and can slide off the crust, so personally the amount of cheese and oil was a little heavier than my usual preference. However, the chewy crust holds up well to the toppings, and there was still something really addictive about the overall flavor and texture of that cheese. One thing that surprised me was how good it was the next day when eaten cold. I actually prefer this pizza cold. The cheese and onions complemented each other even more, and the pizza felt a little less oily while allowing the flavors to shine even more. Overall, this is definitely a top-tier pizza place in the area. If you enjoy a flavorful, cheesy pizza with a great chewy crust, I would absolutely recommend giving it a try!

This shop will cook your pizza half cooked, as a lot of people like. We like ours well done cooked even longer than maybe the traditional cook time so we always request that. When my son went to pick up our pizza it was already sitting on the counter it had not been 15 since minutes since the order was placed. When he grabbed the box it was kinda wet on the bottom of box so we don't know if they set it on the counter on top of something ,but it was more than just extra sauce and onions that made the soggy like they assumed. We tried to recook it and when we took the pizza out of the box all the cardboard inside of the box was wet like something had been literally poured inside the box. I could barely get it out because it was so soggy it was falling apart. We live less than 5 minutes driving time so it was not from steam and cooking it more once we got home did not help it was that wet.. I have never seen pizza that soggy. I had my son call and they did not offer anything except advice on not to order onions or extra sauce when its humid out. We would have like a re-cooked pizza and to return the one we had especially since we had company. It was too wet to pick up a slice and inedible. So, if the owners see this maybe they'd like to somehow rectify it because now I have to start my grill to feed my company. Furthermore, if a customer orders extra sauce and onions on a pizza that.we are asking to be cooked well done an your only job is to cook pizza, you should advise the customer that it won't be crisp. We've ordered it that way before.. and as I said this was far beyond just soggy it was literally wet..and the 2 that ventured to eat it ,now have a stomach ache. It was most certainly undercooked and so wet it couldn't even be rebaked.
