Finally had a chance to go here. We wanted to get only one pizza so we opted for the Drunken Meatball. I cannot say it is the best pizza I have had because different styles are all amazing. This is a unique style and I love it. The sauce was amazing, the ricotta cheese was so delicious and their meatballs were tremendous. What I loved was the crust - it had some chew and some tug; there was a little bit of char on the outside and the bottom. The meatballs were delicious and that sauce! The vodka sauce was perfect. I would have thought I would have missed the standard cheese on a pizza but the ricotta was super good. I placed my order on their website and it was easy; I was able to pay using my Apple Pay, which was a plus. We arrived and it was ready but we stood talking to the men in the shop and they were so kind. They asked us questions about us when they learned we had, recently, moved here. It's been a minute since we went to Pizza Lupo but I'm going through food photos on my phone to catch up on reviews. Pizza Lupo is a pretty busy and popular establishment so I'd recommend calling in your order early/first thing when they open. Maybe it has slowed down a bit but we first heard about it when we saw a reel about it on Instagram. A popular foodie was eating pizza joints. We got a grandma style of the 10th warmer and it was SO good. The toppings were well balanced, flavorful, and generous. I wasn't incredibly hungry when we picked up our pizza, which was unfortunate because I wanted to eat so much more, but it made for good leftovers! I didn't go inside the restaurant, but had my husband go inside to pick up, so I can't speak to the ambiance, but there's no seating at the shop so we too our pizza to highland park to enjoy. Hands-down, this is the best pizza in Lawrenceville. Though, I do prefer their traditional pies over the thicker crust 'grandma style'. Occasionally, these do come out a little to burn, which is frustrating, but part of the process with genuine wood-fired oven pizza. So just always check the pie before you carry out. This is a hole in the wall shop with no dine-in and they don't sell by the slice. You'll definitely want to plan your order ahead and check their hours because several days of the week they are closed and on the days they are open it's a limited business window. There was no one waiting on a Friday at 6 p.m. but the site still said my wait would be an hour. I will definitely be back, but I might disregard the timer. This place is interesting. I'm from Chicago and have lived in the NY area which has shaped what I like in pizza. This was a bit different. I actually came here twice and tried two different pizzas. There's very little ambiance. You order at a counter and it takes about 30 minutes for your pizza to come out. There's no place there to really eat. The first time, we got a made to order pizza. We got a "Large Round 17 inch" with spicy sausage, green peppers and mushrooms (pic attached). The second time, we got the "Grandma Pie, square pan pizza with spicy sausage and green pepper (pic attached" We enjoyed both pizzas. Ate on the roof of Ethan's car and we were going to take a slice and eat the rest at home but we couldn't stop. I'd kill to eat this pizza again for the first time. Excited that I finally got to try Pizza Lupo and I was not disappointed! I ordered the 10th Warder and it was so so tasty. The pizza was cooked perfectly and was covered with so many toppings that it felt worth the higher price point. They also used the smaller pepperonis that curl and pool grease when warmed which I personally love. My only complaint about the pizza was too much ricotta. It didn't take away from the pie, but just not something I love an abundance of. I'll definitely be going back for another pizza try to something more basic. read more

Me and the fam stopped by yesterday before our flight back home to cali. We got a large cheese and pepperoni around lunch time. Oh cant forget about that turner tea. We ate about half of each and took the rest on the plane. My wife that me and the boys are crazy but it was just to damn good not to take with us. We live in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh and have been meaning to come to Pizza Lupo for some time now. We finally were able to get down on a recent Friday evening and took our pizza to go and promptly ate it at the nearby Highland Park. We called our pizza order in several hours before pickup as we know this place gets busy--especially on a Friday--and we also wanted to get this as a "Grandma Pie" which is also somewhat limited in availability. The staff were super friendly when I showed up and chatted me up while I waited the few minutes for the pie to be ready. It's clearly a busy operation but seems to be really well-run and lots of other people were coming in and out. As mentioned, we took our pizza to-go as they don't have any seating on-site. Even with the drive the pizza was still nice and hot when we got situated. I really enjoyed the chewy crust and thought the sauce was well-seasoned too.
