I had a tow with Angelo's Towing about six months ago. At the time of service, I was never charged, invoiced, or contacted about payment. Out of nowhere, I was recently hit with a charge for that tow, months later, with no prior notice or explanation. I've tried multiple times to reach someone for clarification and was told I'd get a call back, but no one ever followed up. I don't think it's reasonable to suddenly charge a customer half a year later due to a billing oversight on the company's end. This whole situation has been frustrating and disappointing. Based on this experience and the lack of communication, I would not recommend using this company. Happy to speak to someone about it. Just want my money back. read more

Angelo's towing came to the rescue! Within a few minutes, I saw them pull up to my house and I immediately was greeted by Gaquan. I told him the car battery was dead and he was able to give my car battery a quick charge to test how stable it was. He noticed that my car battery had the AAA warranty, so he asked if I wanted to replace it. Of course I said "Yes!" He was quick to disassemble the battery attachments and put a new battery in its place. We did a quick car start and it worked! No need to sit and wait for it to get charged. Useless. Best way to describe Angelos. I locked my keys in my car so i needed lock out services. I called the police department on base and they recommended me to angelo's as they could get on base. I called and they confirmed they could... the dispatch tells me and hour and there's a gate fee. I oblige because I need my car! I wait an hour and they say they should be coming to me soon, they get outside base and ask where i'm at... I say I'm in the base not outside the base....? I clarified when I called initially. I said i was stuck outside the commissary. He says they didn't explain but he'll call them and then call me back. 15 minutes pass and nothing! I called him back and bro why did nobody answer. It's as simple as i escort them on base. It would've been so easy but instead they played in my face and wasted my time. They just need better communication. read more

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would! I was towed for parking near Petco Park downtown on a game day. When I called the dispatch gave me an appointment of 7pm to come and pay to retrieve my car. I arrived and waited in their lobby over 2 HOURS to see someone. An hour in I called the number listed to let the dispatch know I had been waiting an hour past my appointment time. She was RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE stating she hadn't been the one to set the appointment with me and my waiting was just the "Price I Paid" for coming in after hours since she was the only person working. HOWEVER, three other people came out of the office when I finally was seen who were also working on the premises, so in my opinion what she stated was very much a lie. In addition, I was CHARGED for the additional wait time which I believe is a complete SCAM and if I could report them to SDPD and have them removed from ever towing anyone's car on behalf of the Police I would! I have had a car towed before and this is BY FAR the WORST and MOST EXPENSIVE price I ever paid. My car was literally on their lot for 4 hours (TWO OF WHICH I SPENT IN THEIR LOBBY WAITING TO BE SEEN) and I was charged $500. I pray no one ever has to experience what I have! read more

First I'm sure their service of picking up cars in need and helping people is probably fine. However, we were towed by the city because the do not park sign was covered by an umbrella from a restaurant - also not their problem. The review is for how long we stood in their hot office while staff refusing to acknowledge that we were waiting. We walked in on a group of people also waiting in front of us who had not been helped. After about 10 minutes of silence we asked if we could be helped. Staff told us to wait quietly. 10 more minutes and we asked again. They told us "others are in line ahead of you" and we asked if they would then help those people. They said "no we can't. Keep waiting." We politely asked what everyone was waiting for to which they responded again "you're not first in line please sit down" 45 minutes had gone by before the people in front of us were helped... they were turned away and could not even pick up their car. When we finally did get help, the guy who pulled the car around smelled very strongly of cigarettes which stuck in the car. Angelo's towing has been scamming & ripping people off since the dawn of times. From getting paid under the table to tow cars to the real money maker for the Rock N Roll marathon. I've seen these guys tow 3 cars at the same time. On 1/3/25 my car broke down on 1st street mid afternoon. I requested assistance from AAA & found text was faster than speaking with someone. For the amount I'm paying a year for AAA on top of the billions of members the least they could do was offer a message stating "battery is still under warranty" or provide receipts of batteries installed via AAA on the app. When he showed up in a van I thought that was weird because what if it wasn't the battery? I asked "am I still under warranty? Did you check?" And he said NO but your battery is running low and if the replacement doesn't work you should get your alternator checked. When I hesitated he said something along the lines of how difficult it might be to get another tow truck out so why not take care of it now. I'm poor. Literally poor and this was a huge chunk of change. When I wanted to use my cc he said he'd charge me an additional 9%. These guys are bullies. This is their job. To intimidate you into buying into whatever they're selling. I should have known better. He's a contractor and a bottom feeder but because I trusted AAA in contracting with Angelos I just allowed him to do it. When I got home I contacted AAA because I found the total fee should have only been $199 Not $247.43 AND it was still under warranty for another year So now I have to fill out this form for reimbursement and I won't get paid back for a month. Unbelievable. My vehicle broke down on a major road and stopped while blocking a traffic lane. I called the police to control traffic and contacted a towing company, which said it would take at least an hour to arrive. The police asked me to cancel that tow and use one dispatched through them so the vehicle could be removed quickly. When the tow truck arrived, the driver said he could tow my vehicle anywhere for $340. Since it was Sunday and repair shops were closed, he suggested towing it to the company's storage yard. When I asked about costs, he said insurance usually covers these situations. Before I could clarify what would happen if insurance did not cover it, he left, as the police urged him to proceed. I understood the total charge would be around $340. No storage rates were disclosed. The next morning, I was presented with a bill of $871.98, including charges I was never informed of or agreed to: two days of storage at $115 per day (although the vehicle was there from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning only); a $349 towing fee multiplied by 1.5; a $29.99 fuel surcharge; a $79.99 wrapping fee; and a $22.40 dispach fee. In total, $641.99 for towing and $230 for storage. Had these charges been disclosed in advance, I would not have agreed. I was billed for services without informed consent. Customer service refused responsibility, directing me to the police and claiming it is not the driver's duty to disclose costs. If not the driver, then who? read more

We had to tow our car to the mechanic shop. Our car was parked on the street between cars. As soon as Steven arrived, and we started working on getting the car out of the parking spot, we realized it won't even go to neutral to ease getting out of the space. Steven was patient and determined to get our car out of street and take it safely to the mechanics. It took some time but we really value and appreciate the skill set that Steven has. Anyone in the situation could have been easily impatient and frustrated but not Steven. I was truly lucky on an unlucky accident day - and that's because Steven C. was the driver responding to our service call. He arrived quickly and immediately set to work on how best to safely load my car parked at a weird angle onto the truck ramp. Another bad experience. I am forced to use Angelo 's because that is what AAA assigns in my neighborhood. I had to buy a battery from them. They would not issue me an invoice which says the manufacturer and serial number so if it gives out before a warrenty date I can get some money replaced. With no proof that the battery now in my car started on the date of an invoice with no warrenty provision just the word of the employee of the day. -/ if something ends with this battery there is no proof now when it was installed , the warrenty provisions or even proof of make. I asked several times for this and was told nope they don't do that. They ll sell you a battery with no paperwork behind it. Last experience with them , they tried to sell me a battery they took out if someone else's car. I was so mad , I just got jumped and drove to another neighborhood so another tow company would be assigned to me. Avoid them. read more

I had to request a tow through AAA, and Angelo's towing was assigned to me as the towing company. I can't say enough good things about this company and the young man that picked up me and my car. To set expectations, no tow request is "instant," however, they arrived prior to their estimated time, and the young man was extremely polite, knowledgeable and nice. He immediately got me and my car off of the road and once safely in my driveway, he took the time to check out my alternator, which was fine. Turns out I had left my interior lights on for a couple of days straight, so my battery was completely drained. Also noticed their truck/equipment was top-notch. (Flatbed tow!) Not only did both my car and I make it home safe; I also was left with the knowledge that I didn't have to take it in for repairs. As far as value re AAA; I will never be without the Premier Membership. Angelo's towing is not a professional towing company. They recently hooked my car (2019 Tesla model 3 Dual Motor) and towed it to their 26th street location. Upon pickup they lifted it via the rear wheels to move it off their property so I could take delivery. AWD vehicles MUST be lifted by all four tires anytime the vehicle is towed anywhere. This is common sense to anyone is the auto industry however it seems to elude Angelo's towing. Shop elsewhere unless your purpose is to damage the property of others. read more
