Your standards have come down drastically. Your food is not as good, the older servers are slow and unpleasant. i was going to stop coming but had a great server who was cheerful and quick and cared about our experience. Went a few more times never got her again, found out she has few hours, so my family and I will be patronizing other diners. so Sad you used to be good, not so now. The worst of it is you dump great servers who at least made it pleasant to go here. Your management needs to take a course in restaurant service then get a better kitchen staff, and bring back the good servers, I think you only had one or two of them who knew what they were doing and understood the service business. read more

As diner goes, Angel's is pretty good. Tasty food, large portion and most of all friendly and efficient services. The fish and chips from the senior menu came with 2 large pieces and a coffee for $15. The smoked meat sandwiches was flavourful and tender. One note is that the roadside store sign looks rundown (store owner - you may want to refresh the roadside sign). The store interior is not rundown at all. It is spacious, clean and well lite. Disappointing. Plain and simple. We both ordered the Hot Roast Beef dinner. You could easily tell it sat under the heat lamp for an extended time as the food was luke warm and the gravy had congealed. Imagine a menu item in which the signature piece was the gravy poured all over. But the gravy had congealed due to the meal being prepared well in advance of it's delivery. However, the true disappointment was when we finished. We were asked if we would like anything else. We politely declined and asked for the bill. Did the table get cleared? No. Instead the bill was delivered, we paid and left with the table full of our dinner plates. Retraining is clearly a requirement. I can only imagine the comedy show when the place is busy. Expect average service & prepared meals. We will NEVER return. read more

Great food and great service thanks to Amy. First, let me say thanks to Amy our server, she made our day. Friendly, funny and attentive. Best service in years! You simply can't ask for more. After checking out the reviews I decided to take my parents out to Angels and we got the breakfast special at 3 pm. They have all day breakfast and the food was very good at a great price. The eggs, bacon and hash browns were all cooked as requested. Kudos to the chef. I'm not sure it would be popular enough to offer, but having turkey bacon as an option would be greatly appreciated. And the coffee was hot and fresh. We'll certainly be back! read more

Food was fresh, hot, and fast. We came on a Monday mid afternoon and had no wait. I got the Poutine with Montreal smoked meat and she got the veggie soup and Bogart (meatball) sandwich. The server took our drink orders and I asked for a water with lemon, she replied that they didn't have any. I then asked for a lime and she then told me that they had no citrus fruit. Eventually our orders came out and someone with our party ordered Fish & Chips, and right there were 2 lemon wedges. At the end of the meal we asked about this and one server said they don't have it, "it's in the kitchen"... So why didn't they just ask the kitchen initially for it. Lazy or liars, whatever you want to call it... just goes to show how bad their service is. We didn't tip too well because of this and afterwards the server went into the washroom looking for my mom who paid, maybe to start a fight...who knows why (my mom was in the stall)! The food, it's a place to go if nothing else is open & you're really hungry (because honestly we did go somewhere first and that place was finished their lunch menu..) Only 1 out 4 adults finished their food, the rest we took home and figured we could eat the rest later, ended up throwing it out! It's too bad because the music and decor were ok. It had potential... (And if this was a restaurant in Toronto, I doubt it would survive!) Forgot to mention dirty utensils. We arrived and had to wait to be seated. It was busy but not overly so. That was understandable at least. After fifteen minutes we were given seats where we sat for another twenty minutes without even being acknowledged. No drink orders or anything. What a waste of time. I have been there before and thought the food and menu were OK but certainly not worth being ignored. We did not go there to just be seated. We left and went elsewhere. Will never return. read more

I'd describe Angel's as reliable dining. It's got your classic diner look and feel, from the uniformed waitresses and colour scheme, to the 50's diner paraphernalia (license plates galore) and menu. Pretty standard all around, but they do it well, with consistency and friendly service. read more

We have been going to Angels for dinner as a family for approx. 9 yrs and never had we ever been charged for a refill on a soda!!! tonight we were there for our usual meals and we were told that if we wanted refills on a child's drink that we would have to pay extra!!! The child drink glass was half filled with ice to begin with and if we had known they were going to charge extra for refills we would have at least asked for no ice!! Angel's is your typical breakfast diner, although it is pretty large! The waitresses were friendly although seemed a little scattered at times. They do need to learn their menu though cause they have Eggs Benedict which is just as it sounds AND they have The Benedict which is poached eggs and hollandaise on top of a hash. I very clearly made sure I ordered THE Benedict so I was pretty disappointed when a boring, uninspired looking Eggs Benedict showed up (for real the most boring looking benny I have ever seen.) They apologized what I would consider borderline too many times (after two or three apologies just bring me my damn order already!) but were nice about it. And when I finally got what I ordered it looked great and was pretty darn good, but by then my fiance was pretty much just watching me eat cause I had to wait so long for the right meal. read more

We've had breakfast here a number of times and it is always good. Today, Friday 9:30 am, the parking lot was almost full, but we (6 of us) were seated almost immediately after entering. A waitress came right over to offer beverages and she kept the coffee coming - very important to us. I had the Angel's Omelette and it was excellent, served piping hot with pan fried potatoes, toast and a slice of fresh orange. This place is plain and simple my favourite cheap place to eat in Brantford. Good selection of items and I think their burgers are some of the best in town. Me and my partner always go here when we need a nice cheap meal that's also quite tasty. read more

Table of two. Two incorrect meals, and our server never checked on us. So we ate it anyways. Also had to chase a random down to bring us additional condiments. No coffee refill offered either. Huge portions. Incredible smoked meat sandwiches. HUGE pieces of pie/cake. Although the piece I had (which I got as take-out because I was too full from my sandwich) was overly sweet (which is a rare thing for me to say). My wife felt the same way. We were introduced Angel's through my Uncle, who's a regular here. It's a diner's diner! Seating snuggly beside one another as well as across from another, but hey you're not here for five star dining but you do receive five star service! I had the Club (good portion and a MOUND of fries w. gravy) my nephew had the Canadian burger(huge w.nice slice of pemeal on it also served Caesar salad on the side) and my wife had eggs w.sausage and fries and gravy on the side(not a big home fries fan)! Overall portions were more than generous and worth the cost. Service was prompt, friendly and warm. They also remembered my nephew from years before when he came here with one of his classes, who also was a regular there when he went to school here. I thought that was a very nice touch seeing that he has a fatal peanut allergy and they remembered. It's worth dropping in for visit, service like this now a days can be difficult to find! My wife and I ate there last Wednesday sept.13/2017.My wife had a turkey club sandwich. After we left the parking lot she had pains in her stomach. Next morning after I went to work she called me to tell me she was on the bedroom floor and couldn't get up. long story short we rushed her to hospital by ambulance to Guelph general. after many tests she had samanela poisoning. called today after bringing my wife home, they didn't seem to care a lot she said she was sorry, which doesn't quite satisfy for five days in a hospital. As far as diners go, the menu here is very extensive. We were just visiting Brantford and needed a nice hearty dinner. Service was ok, poor server was probably at the end of her shift. Portions are very generous and food was fresh- ordered the schnitzel. Pork chop was fairly thick and juicy, fries were freshly fried, although a bit bland. Biggest complaint is restrooms were filthy and this always calls into question overall cleanliness behind the scenes. read more

My recommendation would be to go for breakfast and skip the other meals here. When I go for breakfast, the portions are huge, service is busy but friendly and the food is always fresh. When I go at other times of day, it seems hit or miss. At breakfast, I can get bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, hash browns and it is so good and a very good price.
