Went in for a gel pedicure. Took over an hour to finish and the job was terrible. It's clumpy and the edges are all over the place. Honestly looks like a toddler painted my toes. Very disappointed as I have been coming here for a while and it looks like the work keeps getting worse. This particular lady was much older than the others and it just looked like she was either nervous to do the job or didn't know how. At the end, I had to ask her to speed it up as it took way too long to do just a white gel. Especially considering I didn't have any gel on my toes when I came in, it shouldn't have taken this long. On December 4, 2022, about 6 months ago, my mom and I went to this nail shop and got our nails done. The lady who worked on my mom specifically was shorter with short hair, a chubby face, and glasses. She was an older lady in her 50s. She was very rough with my mom's nails, which she left looking distorted like this, even after six months. My mom just showed me this now, and it's infuriating. I'm not sure how she filed my mom's nails, but this is unacceptable. I'd give no stars if possible. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I was referred to this nail salon by a friend of mine, and she had told me about her really positive experience and so I wanted to try it out. It's convenient because they have a parking lot. Once I got in, I noticed that it was a very clean store, and the ladies working were extremely kind from the get go. I usually get gel, but I decided that I wanted to try their building gel so that my nails can actually get healthier and stronger. Nice little place. I get my toes done here since they do gel pedicures. The price is great and it LASTS FOR WEEKS! My toe nails are extremely thin, but they do a really good job at being gentle so as to not break my nail and they're generous with the coats so that helps with strengthening my nail and obviously making the pedicure last longer which in my opinion is such a great service!!! read more

This is my go to nail shop even though I only get my nails done 4-6 times a year. They do high quality work and are really nice. They were recently closed for remodeling and I'm not sure what's really changed but it's nice inside, but they only have 3 spa stations. I recently got a gel mani and pedi (my first time getting a gel pedi) it was $100 but for some reason 105 maybe because I used my card? (-.5 stars) My nails lasted about 3 weeks, and I've never had any issues with them butchering my cuticles like at other shops. They do great work and I highly recommend. read more

I'm only giving this place 2 stars because the staff was somewhat nice, though I feel like they were only being polite due to the fact I got injured during my pedicure. The nail tech doing my pedicure was not only going ROUGH, but she was so busy talking to the other tech who was doing my nails that she didn't notice I was cringing in pain! The only moment she stopped was after she saw the bloody cut on my toe! FIRST OF ALL, pedicures should be relaxing and soothing! I was close to crying from the pain. The tech also decided to be rough on disinfecting my wound even though I kept backing away and cringing in pain. THAT IS NOT NORMAL! What was more ridiculous was how they only offered me JUST 5 DOLLARS OFF, when I didn't even get quality service out of this. After negotiating, they agreed to not charge me for the pedicure. But they had the audacity to tell me that I "was not injured". That's HORRIBLE! A customer who had to limp back to their car with a bloody toe in the rain being told that I didn't get injured? Hell no. I better not get an infection after this... I'm also shocked that I paid $80 for an acrylic fill, considering my nails are uneven and you can see how poorly done my nails are. I've been to countless nail salons that offer fills for half the price and they are consistent in perfecting nail shape. They're an OK staff here, but definitely NOT coming back. read more

$25.00 for a gel manicure, can't get better than this! Plus the quality is top-notch. My gel actually lasted longer than a month! I always get gel at other places, and it usually chips after 2 weeks. The owner uses LED light instead of UV. LED machines are newer and they're more expensive to buy. Plus, your hands don't get hot under the light with LED, they don't have to be under the light as long, and I don't have to worry about skin cancer, which is really nice. I mentioned LED to my other vietnamese nail places, and they didn't even know what I was talking about. Everywhere else they use UV, I guess. I told the owner how long the gel lasted bc I was amazed, and she jokingly told me to come sooner otherwise she's going to go out of business. Some background info: The owner is originally from new york and has lots of prior experience from that city. She's very meticulous, I must say. The shop is clean and new. I can never find parking in their small lot, but have managed to find street parking each and every time. I know this is a review for nails only, but considering I'm a yelper, and a foodie!!!....I can't help but add that her husband owns the meat market next door, and he sells pre-marinated raw galbi that you can bbq at home. This place is horrible. First of all, they are not honoring the yelp coupon, so don't hope to get 10 dollars off the shitty service they provide. When I called the lady seemed annoyed and that should have been my first sign to not go in, but I did. When I got there, she was sitting with customers laughing and took a minute to acknowledge that another human walked through the door. She sat me down at the corner table, and gave me the gel color options. BE WARNED! They have hidden fees they don't tell you about, including certain colors. So, after she gave me the options, she grabbed my hand, asked if I had gel, and when I replied yes, she threw my hand aside. Proceeded to roughly grab my hands through out the entire time. 10 mins into the service, she received a phone call, it took her 5 whole mins to get back to me and continue doing my cuticles. When she was done, she made sure she got the last drop of the bond on my nail, literally pouring the bond on my finger and having it drip all over my nails and fingers, leaving my sticky the entire time, didn't even bother to clean it up. When she was cutting and shaping, she left one whole hand longer than the other, when I told her, she was annoyed and grabbed my hands like I was a rag doll. She is absolutely TERRIBLE! When she painted my nails, she SO MUCH product on my cuticles, she continued to be upset that I was making her fix it! When I was to go pay & showed her the yelp discount, she said no! No more! When I asked her why, she just said NO! The owner was no better, when I talked to her she said it wasn't there problem, it was a yelp problem. Obviously I paid, but the lady still had the audacity to ask me to tip her! Absolutely not. I've never not tipped, but this occasion seemed fit, and it was only more apparent when she stomped off like a child when I told her I just wanted to get the $30 the manicure cost. Stay away. If you've made it this far, save your coins, make your way over to other spots like MJ Nails where prices are the same but the customer service is MUCH BETTER! read more

It's clean, they have a great selection of colors and the ladies there are very professional. My mom got a mani/pedi and they were really sweet to her! I'm not one to get mani/pedis, but with my wedding around the corner, like literally, the next day, I decided to go for it. Not being one to enjoy having my feet touched, I cringed at the idea of a pedi. But both women working on my hands & feet were super warm and sweet and made me feel at ease. I walked in on a Thursday at 1 pm. There was plenty of parking & the salon was empty. Having read horror stories about nail salons in the area, I asked with a little hesitation if they accepted walk-ins. To my surprise, they were super nice & took me in, no questions asked. Phew! They asked to me pick a color & take a seat at one of their massage chairs. Right away, I had two women working on me, in addition to the massage chair going at it. As my eyes rolled to the back of my head, I wondered why I hadn't done this sooner! They were both very attentive to my needs, didn't sneer at my rough feet (don't judge me!) & didn't make me feel like an outsider by leaving me out of the conversation loop (I was clearly the only non-Korean in there). The Korean soap playing in the background was pretty entertaining too! Good thing they had the subtitles on! Here's a breakdown of my $45 mani/pedi: *regular mani/pedi: $25 *callus remover: $10 *2 fabulously bejeweled toes: $5 each I'm most definitely making this a regular stop. I recently started coming to thIs nail shop based off of my friends recommendation. The first time I came my nails lasted almost FOUR weeks! That's amazing! I'm a nail biter and often times end up removing my gel with my teeth and picking at them. So, today I came in for a second time. My gel manicure was amazing! She did a gReat job and the dEsign I asked for cane out amazing. She was fast too. I've never had an issue with parking. They do take cards for payment but prefer cash for tips. This is my favorite spot to get my pedicure in Ktown! I'm not sure what they do but whenever I get a gel pedi here it lasts 2-3 weeks longer than if I were to get it somewhere else! The ladies here are so nice and make you feel really comfortable. Gel removal is free if you get the previous set there, but $5 if you got it somewhere else. For basic gel pedi it's going to cost you $35 (without tip) and for Koreatown prices, that's not bad at all. I lowkey never go to other Korean places because they are soooo taxed, but Angel Nail's prices are fair and they last so long. Only downside of this shop is the selection of colors. They don't have a lot of color options for the basic colors, but have more for higher quality/more expensive gel polishes. P.S. They like when you tip in cash, but you can tip with card if you don't have! read more

Oh, how I love Angel's Nails. If you're wondering where the name came from, you'll have to meet the girls who work there. Haha jk, no but really, they are very nice. And detailed. And focused. You will have a great mani/pedi. I frequently get their gel manicures with nail designs. Although the designs I usually like are pretty basic, they never disappoint and these girls have skill with the brush. I've gotten both regular manis and gels and they have all turned out great. They pay attention to detail and they really want to make sure you like your nails. They do an AMAZING gradation glitter nail ($10 extra). I really trust them with designs, so if you're looking for something more than a basic gel mani then definitely try here. Just make sure you have a picture to show them. Their salon is always clean and sanitary and I feel like they have a pretty good variety of colors. Their prices are very good overall, maybe slightly above average for Koreatown. They take credit card but take tips in cash! I never have trouble finding parking in their lot. If not, there is street parking available which shouldn't be too hard. AND they have a stamp card. I love getting rewarded for my patronage haha. Definitely a favorite salon in Koreatown, I would recommend. read more

I had my nails done there today. I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened. The ladies were all very nice. I told the owner that I wanted gel nails. She immediately broke down the prices for me which I appreciated. I like knowing what I'm getting into. Anna was assigned to me, initially she seemed shy but then she opened up and she was very kind and incredibly talented. My nails came out beautifully. Anna is quite the perfectionist. She went to town on my cuticles and made sure she got everything. The last place I went too barely cut my cuticles. Anna does her designs strictly from her creative mind, impressive. Her nails were awesome so I knew I was in good hands. I've uploaded a photo. Upon leaving Anna asked if I had a members card and I said no. She immediately grabbed one for me and explained what the benefits were. I will be back again to see Anna and bringing my girlfriends. read more
