I've been going here for a couple of years now, and the details of the design and cuticle clean up is spot on. Before nail sharp I've been struggling to find a consistent spot I loved and have been getting gel manis redone a little over two weeks but here it lasts me for a month! I'm pretty sure it can last longer if I prolong it (but then my nails will get long and gross). I first started with Ahra and she was GREAT but then she had to move to another state. And I got a little skeptical but then I gave Sunny a try and she is AMAZING! She's so in-depth and detailed and puts her time in the designs she does (plus the cuticle clean up she does is so soothing!). And when sunny is not available, there's the expert Elisha and she's a PRO in everything. She literally does everything - I don't know how she does it, from nails to eyelash extension and to Pilates and flying yoga (and I think she bakes bread for dieting as well). Shes been doing nails for over 15 years so she def knows what she's doing. I've had the chance to get nails done from her, and of course exceeded my expectations! I went here to get my nails done after not having a good experience at a different salon and I was hopeful because of the great reviews. I did not have a good time. She told me it would be $15 for a removal, other places it is usually $10 but I said okay. She removed them and when it came time to put on the gel-x extensions she didn't ask me what size I wanted and brought out really short almond shaped extensions. I told her I wanted long extensions and she said she didn't have any. When I texted her to make an appointment I specifically asked for a "gel extension removal and a full extension set, long." At no point did she tell me she didn't have long extensions. When I told her I would leave since I didn't want short nails, she charged me $40 for the removal and not the $15 she had mentioned earlier. I do not recommend going here. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. read more

Called a few hours, was so lucky to find an availability here! They're located on the first floor of the Wilshire building, you can park on the lot and get validated They are located inside the hair salon, don't get lost! I really really love how meticulous they are. A lot of nail artists paint the gel on thick, it's faster and easier and takes less skill. But both Elisha and Ahra take their time to evenly set all the gel for longevity. You can really tell the difference about 1-3 weeks later, when your nails looks pretty the same as when you walked out. I was looking for a nail place which opened until 8-9pm. It was not easy to find the place as I expected. Then, I found this place open until 8 pm and made an appointment at 7:10 pm since I finish my job at 7 pm. When I called, the lady answered. I don't know if she is an employee or a boss. She asked me if I would do just gel. I said I would not have Gem Stone or a very complicated one. She accepted my appointment. When I got there it was 7:15pm because of little traffic at ktown. 1) She had a frowning face already and displeased voice tone. She said '"I am not sure if we have materials for this. ", "Remove your phone." With very cold voice. (I was even think I should just leave) If she does not like to accept the last customer, she does not have to accept me. I was not forcing her at all. It is not right to show that attitude after accepting the appointment. I still gave her tips because I knew she waited for me, but I was not there for that attitude. 2) When I got back home, I saw my nails. It was not even a good job. There is a huge empty space at the edge of my nails without gel. It looks like it has been a few days since I got the nail service. But I just did it. I saw there are good reviews about this place. Not the best option for pedicure. No massage chair, just an uncomfortable chair and a step stool with a tub of water underneath. The nail polish selection is not great. It's clean enough and the sterilizing machine is clearly used. The associate was nice enough and did a fine job painting my toes. I should have paid more attention to the reviews which mostly talk about fingernails. Location was a little confusing because you had to go inside "hair and beauty" but I thought the store name was S nail Elisha & Ahra. However when I called and asked for directions they guided me inside. I went in to get a fill however my nails were so weak I should've taken them off. But they helped reshape and fill them to the shape I want so they look skinnier and on the plus side, they're stronger. A little late BUT omg I am in love with my nails! It was my first time here a week ago and I was a little scared to ask for the design I wanted bc the last time I went to a nail shop with the design in mind ended up with the lady literally doing what she wanted with my nails. But HOLY SHIT. Ahra was able to get this design done to the tee! This woman went above and beyond with the work on my nails and let me tell you... It was worth every penny. The amount of attention and work they give to your nails is beyond belief. Srly these women do not eff around when it comes to making your nails look top notch. Honestly, their prices here are way more reasonable than any other Korean nail shop with. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Ahra is incredibly talented, and their prices are sooooooo reasonable. I had thick Japanese gel on my nails prior to arriving and they worked so hard to remove it (for $5!!!). I brought a few pictures of the style I wanted (lots of crystals and stones lol), and Ahra was able to customize it to fit my style. She's so sweet and knowledgeable, and her advice was perfect as I get compliments on my nails from everyone I meet. They have tons of colors, and can pretty much do any of the designs you see online/on IG. I texted Elisha a few pictures of the style I wanted prior to coming in, and she was able to give me a rough price estimate and time which I really appreciated. The only downside for me was that the stones/crystals on one of my nails almost completely fell off less than a week later. My other nails are still in perfect condition. read more

I had a great experience here! Backstory: I got a gel manicure done from a different salon and my nails had grown out and I wanted to remove them without a new service. I rarely do my nails but it was for a special occasion that I got them done. Found S Nail on yelp, called to see if they just do gel removals (some places require you to get a new service with the removal) and booked a same day appointment no problem. The location is part of a hair salon in the unit but it's still well set up with two nail stations and a few chairs for pedicures. The staff there were also very polite and nice, offering me something to drink. I'm not sure who exactly did my gel removal but I was impressed. She was working so hard on removing them that I really couldn't believe that she was doing all that work for only $5! There was also another customer sitting beside me and her nails looked beautiful as well! I can tell that they are very attentive to detail. read more

Btw her gel mani stays for about 2-4wk (depending on the health of your nails), crystals do NOT fall off, her gel is THIN and EVEN when she's done which includes glitter manis! I have been getting my nails done with gel/Swarovski/3D acrylic designs for the past 9yr here in LA. I have gone to every trendy nail salon you could imagine, and I was never impressed with any of them. That was UNTIL I found Elisha 4yrs ago!! I even followed her when she moved to this current salon. Elisha only uses HIGH QUALITY products, not that cheap OPI gel which is found at every basic nail shop you see here in LA. Most of her products are all from Korea, she has more gel color options than anyone would ever need lol. She has every size/color/shape of Swarovski crystals, and her 3D crystal collection is so overwhelming that I feel like a kid in a candy store every time we are deciding what designs to do each time I see her! If there's a design I like, and she doesn't have it in her collection, she always orders it and has it the next time I see her! One unique characteristic of Elisha is that she is extremely CREATIVE. Some days I have no idea what design/color I want, and she just comes up with something every time! For the past 4yr, she's done about 70 manicures on me and ALL of them were different; each mani was unique! She has exquisite taste and talent, which never fails to amaze me. I appreciate her delicate handling of my paper-thin nails which tends to chip and bend backwards easily. I also value her honesty in telling me if a design I wanted may not be fitting for my nail type or lifestyle. My nails do not work well with vibrant designs that have excessive number of stones, but they're soooo pretty and who could resist?!?! Yet, the reality is that I should know better than to go against the advice of a professional. And of course, I did! And YES, I immediately regretted not listening to her.
