I'm so impressed with how long my nails have lasted. I've had them for a little over a month now and only have a couple small nail polish chips on my dominant hand! If they didn't grow out so much (I'm overdue to go back) I'm sure they'd last a few more weeks. I also got an Express pedicure from Natalie. While the pedicure I chose is standard, she was lovely and did a nice job. The salon was clean, has good music, and I appreciated the yummy tea. I'd definitely go back!

I was hoping for a relaxing experience after a stressful day at work so went to my local lounge. I requested a gel pedicure with cateye and I left with no gel and chemical burns on my skin. I had to ask the nail tech multiple times to remove the chemicals she applied to my feet because it was burning. And ultimately stopped the pedicure because I was over the experience. When I reached out to this location to speak to the manager I was Gaslit and told that my pedicure was an "express pedi" and they "don't apply those creams" so the burns must've happened before my pedi. All I wanted was for her to reassure me her technician would be retrained and my money back that I paid for the burns. (WHICH IS CRAAAZY WORK. Like are you okay?!) Ultimately this shop is a skip. It's a Chop. They clearly prioritize money over physical well being and safety. SAVE YOUR TOES GIRLIES!!!

Not lifting heavy things, not doing anything rough...just typing. One literally slid off mid-email. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic durability. I've had Gel-X before and they usually last me a solid two to three weeks. This was beyond disappointing. They clearly didn't prep or adhere the nails properly. I usually try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but all of the bad reviews are right. Save your money and go somewhere that knows what they're doing. I wouldn't come back here even for a fix.

I originally wanted acrylic nails, but I was persuaded to get Gel-X instead because I was told they would last longer. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but after only one week, several of my nails are already lifting. For a $120 service, I expected much better quality and durability. At this point, they feel comparable to press-on nails. Overall, I'm disappointed because I spent a lot of money expecting a long-lasting, professional set, especially for a special occasion. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

They are super up-to-date on different styles and designs, but please know that you are going to be spending the highest possible amount that you probably could for your service. She did a fantastic job was gentle and very detail oriented. I have very small toe nails and she still managed to make it look like I had more nail. Overall 10/10. Encouraged by my great experience I came in Friday 6/19 for another same day booked appointment for my partner and I this time. I wanted to treat her and get myself a manicure. This time I asked for Lois but she was booked so we got Jane. I figured all the nail techs would be the same quality. I understand that we were one of the last appointments of the day but the whole process felt very rushed with this nail tech, she was a bit rough on the nails for my partner and gave little cuts along her cuticle lines. I know it's a long day and having three sets of nails to do starting at 5:30 pm is a lot but I don't think that should change the quality of the job. My manicure came out nicely and she wasn't as rough with me and she is very good with nail shaping. But I watched how fast and rough she was with the nail cutting and cuticle trimming with my partner. We didn't say anything because we could feel she was just trying to get it done. At the end of the day we were looking at my partner's nails and saw that they were not evenly coated and had several gaps in the color because the polish wasn't applied evenly. Typically I wouldn't mind, but it was a rough process for her that was meant to be a relaxing treat and for the both of us 3 regular services 2 manis 1 pedi it was $125. I think for that much money A) there should be no cuts on my partner's cuticles and B) the coats should at least be evenly applied. I still tipped $20 dollars cash because I saw other reviews saying that nail techs asked for tip if you don't so just in case I tipped well (I would think) on top of the prices being high. I really like Lois's technique so I will only book with her in the future for my partner and I. I am aware we are in k-town and that the quality of polish is high, I think that's why the service should be equivalent. So either choose your nail tech well or don't book end of day appointments but that's not ideal given some people like my partner work regular 9-5's she still deserves quality service too. Picture of my partner's cut cuticles and uneven polish below. Also manicures are dry, didn't like that, I prefer a little soak before going into a dry nail filing followed by mechanical cuticle trim proceeded by a burning acetone rimming before polish. Not a soothing feeling.

A great mani and pedi for a reasonable price. I don't get my nails done very often, but the time I did, they cut my cuticles to clean them up. It made the mani look great, but when the cuticle grew out it always looks like my skin was shedding. The wife let me know that cutting the skin of the cuticle causes the skin to grow back and makes the mani not as clean looking after a couple days. I ended up getting a gel mani and regular pedi and two weeks later, they're still amazing. I might not necessarily find myself deliberately trekking to k-town just for a visit to the nail salon, but if I'm in the neighborhood I definitely will be back.

The lady working on my nails begins to ask her questions about what services she was seeking. I heard her quote the customer afterwards, around $80 and to come back in twenty minutes. I thought "wow. Is she going to rush her job on my nails for a walk-in asking for extensive services?" Yes, that's what happened. I noticed a change in her pace while working on my nails. She was rushing through manicure. During this time I asked her about payment. Last time I came in was December of last year, and paid with Zelle but usually prefer to pay cash. Asked if they give receipts for cash payments. She said no. I usually ask for receipts to track my expenses. Then asked her is it just Zelle they accept or credit card as well. She said Zelle no cc. Normally don't care for Zelle, prefer Venmo so to pay with cash back. A very nice perk of Venmo. She thought I was getting gel and I said "oh no, not today. Just regular. I'll be back another time for gel." I'm not sure what caused a change in her mood and demeanor but she gets up to get nail polish, comes back to me, gets her phone out and says to me: "You pay now on Zelle for both jobs before I start second one. Before I do job on your nails." The moment was unpleasant, awful feeling, and I was startled. Her tone in delivering her message was very different than from her speech prior to this incident. Her vibe was negative, disrespectful, and rude. I am a patient and graceful person. In that moment I decided to go with Zelle and not give her my cash. I brought $200.00 with me to pay for nail salon and other errands afterwards. I kindly said "ok, sure. Give me a second. "I then showed her the name already saved on my Zelle to confirm it was correct and to show her that this paying customer has paid them via Zelle. She then asked to see transaction after payment so she can take a photo. Cost for regular pedi was $40 and regular mani $30. I was not told to pay in advance on my last visit in December. She did my gel pedi during that visit. She proceeded to polish my nails and did a messy job because the walk-in individual came back exactly in twenty minutes. She finishes her sloppy job on my nails and begins to work with new customer. She comes back to me and before she adds a clear coat I asked her to clean the corners because they were messy so she does. Each moment she speaks to me it's short and as if she is upset. Perhaps she's miserable doing what she does for a living and takes it out on others. Not sure how she would have finished a gel job in twenty minutes if she did a poor job with a regular manicure. I sat for a few minutes to give my nails time to dry. Called an Uber for my next appointment and contemplated if I should even tip this staff member. All my years I have always tipped. Being in the customer service industry for years, I know how important tips are and what they mean to us. I prefer to tip in cash. However, this experience and the awful feelings it created within me, did not deserve more than the cost of a regular manicure. No ma'm. Nah. As my Uber was approaching, I slipped on my sandals, pulled out cash to tip the individual for my pedicure. I was not going to forget her and her quality of service. This is my second awful experience at this nail salon. What they do not know is I was coming here for some time years ago when they first opened. It's walking distance from my home. Would get my eyebrows done, nails, massage chairs were pleasant. Place was always packed. Until one time, a staff member working on my toes asked me to complete her online English exam that was due while doing my pedicure. That shook me and I should have reported her to her manager and posted a Yelp review. Now I'm doing both. Also, a tip for those who do gel pedi and gel mani: it ruins nails! I noticed that after the old gel was removed, there's these lines on my nails as if nails are breaking. Should have taken photos to share on this post. There's one uploaded and I circled the area of concern. Be careful. Nail salons aren't going to tell us the truth.
