Finally got to try the famous Angel's Tacos and their second restaurant in OC. This one has plenty of parking as it shares a parking lot in a larger plaza. I went on a Sunday around 5 PM and the line was short. The menu is expansive and prices are average. You are not going to get taco stand prices here as it is a brick and mortar. Service was fast. The food came out in a few minutes. They maybe have 4-5 tables outside for seating. There are no indoor tables. There is a salsa and toppings bar. I got a cabeza taco and Tripa taco. Excellent! The tacos did not disappoint and well worth the $3.50 each. Bandito Taqueria in Santa Ana, who also does Tijuana style tacos, has competition. Instantly Angel's becomes one of the best tacos in OC. read more

I got a fat, loaded, delicious breakfast burrito for their thursday special. It was like $9 after tax. One of the better deals in the entire area, for sure. Probably why it's listed as only being available until 2pm The girl at the counter was nice but couldn't speak english. For me, this identifies 1. i'm getting a good deal and 2. she's being underpaid. In Orange County (and surely elsewhere), wages for workers who speak English are higher than for those who can't. Angel's makes good food and are priced to reflect that. The "tire shop taqueria/tacos los cholos" level of quality is now ubiquitous across SoCal. Just about every neighborhood east of the 405 and south of the 118 has a taqueria like this. there are 2 other taquerias (3 total) in the same damn parking lot. There's a tortilleria across the street and at least one taco truck on an adjacent street. Zoom out another couple blocks and the math on taquerias starts to resemble algebra. Angel's is likely the only one of these taco-hawkers that's crowded with a line. Their food is good. Their social media presence is better. Anyways, $9 breakfast burrito on Thursdays before 2pm. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and am super glad I finally went. They have diff deals every weekday and I especially wanna come back on a Wednesday to get the loaded fries. I like that they have outdoor seating but the food is made inside the building so I don't smell like tacos after. They also have a restroom around the corner which is nice considering I usually go to taco stands or trucks that don't have a sink available Loaded fries: 4.5/5 I liked these a lot and thought they were a pretty big portion. Stopped by here yesterday with a friend. We were doing a taco challenge and I have to say I was very much surprised with how good the food was here. I've only known of a small handful of spots that offer good tacos but this spot blew me away. To begin with, plenty of parking, ironically next to another competing taco shop. Plenty of seating and easy access to order and seating area. Staff were friendly and professional. The set up is interesting. It's an open ordering spot with seating under a canopied area on the side. On the small interior, there is an area for toppings such as sliced lemon, pickled onions, salsas and utensils and napkins. The menu has a good amount of options as well, not too many and not too few. All in all I was very happy stopping by and I will definitely be returning very soon. read more

Solid Tijuana street taco spot. All of the meats are super tender and flavorful. The tortillas are tasty, queso on the tacos is melty, and guacamole is on point. First time going to the brick and mortar store and I went during taco Tuesday and cinco de mayo so it took extra long (45min) for the food to come out since a lot of people ordered a lot to go. Located in a small plaza, there's a decent amount of parking since there's a grocery store next door. We got a guava agua Fresca to start which was actually so good. Seating is outdoors and you'll have to grab a chair and table yourself which could be difficult depending on how busy they are. They also have all the salsas and other condiments available to grab by the cashier. I got the tripas and carne asada tacos which were good, the carne was actually my favorite. Tripas were good but over fried to the point of slight bitterness for me. Husband got the burrito with the queso and fries which he said was really good. We would probably end up coming back here as our regular taco spot! read more

First time at this location, just as good as the other in Anaheim. Fav tacos are the Al pastor, so good, flavorful, and love the pineapple. The new menu item, breakfast burrito was tasty, too! Only complaint would be that they add a little more egg, but so good with the bacon and crispy tots. Service was good, order at the counter and they will call you when ur food is ready. Didn't have to wait too long, and even if you had to wait 10-15 mins, it's totally worth it. Cool covered patio to sit under cover and all the condiments were chilled and covered stainless steel condiment station. Delicious tacos, and I've had my share. It's great to see Angel's move up from being a pop up shop to a full brick & mortar location now! This location is off Edinger (about a mile off Bristol), with plenty of lot parking nearby. They have outdoor seating only, and you walk up to order and then can grab salsa and onions/etc. while you wait for your food. The staff is all so friendly and quick to serve, I stopped by an hour ago and got my food in record time. I think they have the best al pastor tacos in the area, and their watermelon guava agua fresca is excellent too. I'm also a fan of their al pastor quesadilla, but it's a bit on the heavy side so I'd recommend sharing that. I'd skip on their carne asada though, as there's definitely better elsewhere (this one isn't as flavorful, but still quite tender). Wow! I was not expecting this place to be so good. It's open late, and you order at their window. When i went on a Friday night there was a bit of a line to order. Expect it to be busier on late night weekends. I got their al pastor tacos, carne asada, and their mango agua fresca. All were delicious, but the star of the show was their al pastor tacos. The al pastor was tender, smoky, well seasoned, and melt in your mouth. The tortillas are also so good but can break easily. It tastes like they hand make them and I think they do. Also great that their tacos come with guacamole already. Their mango agua fresca was so refreshing and tasted like fresh real mangoes. Would recommend. I really like the tacos here, would come back. I kept it simple and ordered three tacos to try out the different meats. I ordered Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and Cabeza. They were all pretty good and tender. However, the Cabeza seemed a little too fatty for my liking and I'll skip it next time. I've had this type of meat at other places, which I really enjoyed. The tortillas are on the smaller side similar to a street taco. But they fill them up decently with meat, onions, and cilantro. I had the mango Agua Fresca and it was ok. It is a walk up counter and has various options. We got six tacos and a horchata for 29.00. Overall, based on my order it was about a 3.5. Horchata-watery and very strong cinnamon flavor. It was about a 2/5 for me. Al pastor-it was overly salty for me. I would rate 3/5. Chorizo-not a lot of flavor and I expected it to be salty. Overall a 3/5. We saw a ad and since we are local to try. I took one bite of the suadero tacos and immediately ordered two more. They were that frikkin good. Stopped by this spot while getting my bike repaired across the street. The staff there recommended it, so had to try. Ordered a pollo, asada, and suadero taco with a Jarritos, grabbed some free cucumber and radish, and made my way to the picnic table and folding chair outdoor seating. Cute spot. Tacos took no time at all. Pollo and asada were solid,l and generous, but the suadero took me aback. You know that feeling when you are absent mindedly eating and take a bite of something and suddenly all your focus concentrates on that bite. Just an eruption of juicy briskety goodness. Brain stopped working for a moment, except to grab my walled and walk back to the window to order more. Angel's Tijuana def has some of the best tacos out there in OC for my opinion. I used to visit their truck in Santa Ana for some late night tacos craving, but just found out that they have a physical store now. My brother and I visited after we got back from the airport and the food here still hit hard! I was too hungry to take picture of our food, as we devoured them so fast. Their tacos are decently price and love the fact that they give you so much onions and sauce that you can get yourself. I dont usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to give everyone out there a warning and to be aware of the negligence of the workers in the kitchen at this location. This is only my second time going to this establishment and the first time was actually pretty good. Food was overall 4/5. Now for the second visit, I have ordered the same exact order from the first visit. But for some reason this time, I have found a piece of sharp plastic from, God knows where, inside my burrito de asada estilo angel. Loved it and loved the pineapple pieces they add to the tacos. We tried the pastor, asada, and tripa. All delicious .. favorite was the pastor and tripa. Asada fries were also good but we were full w the tacos we had to take those home. We had the pineapple and chia agua Fresca and the passion fruit .. passion fruit is a must. One of my favorite burrito/taco spots! We come here mainly because the asada is charcoal grilled. Theres al pastor is pretty flavorful too! The burritos and tacos are our go to items to order. It's always packed with flavor and all the salsas that they provide are flavorful too. I would say that they are pretty pricey but the burritos and tacos aren't small. There was a small line when we visited on a weekday night but the line moved quick. We also got our food pretty quickly too. Theres seating on the side (outdoor) of the restaurant! This location is fairly new as they have multiple locations. While we have not tried everything on the the menu, the one item we did try is so good. It is called Angels Potato. It is a very large baked potato that is topped with whatever protein you want and cheese. It also comes with guacamole, chopped onions and cilantro, and salsa. It also comes with homemade tortillas. You can also go to the condiment bar and get other things to put on it as well. This potato is loaded and can actually feed 2-3 people easily. We have been here a few times and the potatoes are always on point. read more

I ordered a carne asada burrito with queso and it didn't seem like it had any but when I checked it had a pretty thin (I mean I could barely see the cheese layer). At this point I would've just ordered a regular burrito if I'm honest. Cuz I didn't really taste the cheese sadly. Also it say all orders come with salsa, guacamole and cilantro but it didn't seem to have any guacamole. Like I didn't taste it or didn't seem like it had any. Idk for me isn't wasnt the best but I was a little disappointed. The meat however I did like. I feel like it had a good amount of rice beans and meat ratio for me personally. Again just sad in the lack of cheese and "guac" since again I don't think it had any. Hey maybe the tacos are better cuz they seem to be generous with the guac in the tacos since they are pretty visible in picture. Came on a Thursday late night. Wasn't too busy, and there were no lines. Ordered 2 tacos and 1 with cheese. Tripa, chorizo, and suadero. Ordered came out quickly, less than 5 minutes. They have a condiment station and a lot of variety for you to get. Each taco was pretty hefty with meat and guacamole, my favorite meat was definitely the tripa, had the best flavor and a nice char crunch too. Price was reasonable for one, so I'll definitely will have to swing back sometime and grab a few more when I get the munchies. read more

My favorite so far has been this kindness out burrito. The tacos were good but I got salsa on them and they were too spicy for me and I don't recommend the breakfast burrito for the price. I don't think they ran taco tuesday deals before but I've noticed they have it now, on top of deals with their baked potato, breakfast burritos, etc! I really like the fact that they add pineapples to the al pastor + have a great salsa bar, large variety of salsas, grilled onions, jalepeno, radishes, cucumber, etc! I highly recommend their queso tacos + they have an outdoor seating area in case you want to eat there.
