This place has been here forever, and as far as locations this is probably the best one. Sometimes they will over cook a pizza or a sub, tell them and they will make things right. I'm not quite sure why everyone loves this pizza so much. Placed an order last night for a medium "Spicy Italian" pie and it arrived a bit quicker than anticipated. Here's the ingredient list for this pizza: Sausage, Capicola Ham, Salami, Banana Peppers The pizza looked OK but did not seem to be fully cooked as the crust was soggy, possibly because there was too much sauce on it. The sausage was good and there was ham and banana peppers on the pie, but I saw no salami. The cost was $20, which seemed high for a medium sized pizza, so I'm guessing there was also a delivery charge added on that I was not made aware of. This was our first time ordering from Ange's and it will most likely be the last. read more

This was my first time trying Ange's Pizza. It's just me this evening so I decided to go with the Stromboli instead of an entire pizza. I ordered delivery and I must say they were much quicker than the 45 minute time frame mentioned online so for that they get a 5!! I got my Stromboli with Sausage, Meatball and jalapeño. They were very generous with the filling. Lots of meat and cheese and peppers and was sent over with a generous serving of pizza sauce for dipping. The only thing keeping me from giving them an overall rating of 5 was that the crust was a bit overdone to the point some would say it was burnt. I'll start out by saying PIZZA is definitely a subjective topic - some like it thick, some thin - some like chunky tomato, others smooth - the only consensus comes from the use of fresh toppings. And Columbus certainly is a hodgepodge of pizza places - every different kind (except maybe New York style) without any one type claiming a market lead or mandate on "the" pizza.... So here's my review - I just didn't like it. The crust was so thin, it could not hold the toppings when I tried to hold the piece. The crust was soggy and barely an eighth of an inch tall - this would make Donato's standard pie a thick crust pizza. The crust was browned all over and under - but had no substance. And no taste. There was little sauce - luckily or you wouldn't be a mess eating the pieces. The sauce had little taste. The cheese was smooth and did not resemble any mozzarella or provolone that I've ever used or eaten. It was pretty sparse as well. There was a good portion of pepperoni - it was greasy, but acceptable. The onion and banana peppers were fresh, but sparse as well. SO $9.20 for a pie that I wasn't crazy about - but I am not a thin crust person. And you never know until you try it. read more

My fiancee and I come to Columbus from time to time as an exchange point for him and his son. Tonight, I decided that I wanted to get some actual good food in Ohio, for once, since all it seems there is around here are fast food joints and buffets. Most of which are truly sub-par and when edible, give me food poisoning. Anyways, I used Yelp to find a good non-chainish restaurant around our hotel (the Holiday Inn off of Maxwell Place) and came up with this place, a mile and a half, that delivered. So we used the website to decide what we wanted and...awesome! Found out that we could order our food right there online. There were cannoli's, cool looking pizzas, and salads. We ordered a few and some wings to boot and submitted our order. We ordered at 7:19 PM. At 8:37, I decided to call the number on our order confirmation page and was directed to the location in Whitehall, 17 miles away. The person that answered me asked for the address, I gave it to him, and he told me that he didn't see the order there, so it "must be on the road to" us, and to give it another five minutes or so. I waited another twenty, and then called back again. This time, my fiancee handled the call, and was told that they had found the order in the online system and OH! don't deliver to our location. I'm RIPPING pissed. First of all, there is a hold on my card from this dump for $52.50, which we have been told will release since you know, they blatantly failed to meet the "service" they should have provided, which I'm not 100% sure I believe since you know...THEY CAN'T MEET THEIR PROMISES. Secondly, because I was really friggen excited to try their food. So, in short...Ange's! Not sure how they do stuff out here in Ohio, but here are some pointers on your CRAP website: 1) If someone submits a request to the incorrect location, FARM IT TO THE CORRECT ONE. 2) You obviously have the email address and phone number that I ENTERED ONLINE to submit my friggen order, how about some common courtesy and CALLING OR EMAILING someone when you can't fulfill an order. 3) Better yet...why don't you just have your website know what addresses you don't deliver to, so there is no miscommunication? Ohio...in a state with this many "restaurants" and the eighth highest obesity rate in the US, you'd think you'd be able to get a decent meal! Can't wait to get back home. read more

I have ordered from here at least a half dozen times and they are very consistent. The kitchen is wide open to view so you can watch your order being prepared. This is my FAVORITE LOCAL PIZZA in Hilliard. Real mozzarella cheese, a tangy, slightly spicy sauce, and a good quality pepperoni. The pepperoni is cut thin and curls into a bowl during baking. Horrible experience! The driver must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. He called using a rude tone and said "I'm outside banging on your door come get your pizza" I got up looked outside no pizza dude. I told him he had the wrong address. Again, he was extremely rude and stated that he was at the address they had. I said that's not my address. He's arguing over my address. So here he comes and he's out banging on my patio gate. Banging very hard. I was in the house and said "come to the door". Well instead of coming to the door he turned around and left with my pizza. I called the store. A lady answered, I told her the situation. She stated that the driver said I yelled at him. She started getting lippy and raised her voice at me and said "you can't talk to us this way". I said "I'm not talking to you in any kind of way I just want my pizza. I had a $7 tip for the delivery person". She said I refuse to serve you "get your pizza elsewhere!" I said "you're kidding me right?" She said "no, you can't talk to us like that" She was the one raising her voice I reacted. I said I just want my pizza. Again she said "no I refuse to serve you" and hung up. My elderly parents were here. I was in shock. Needless to say we didn't eat pizza. I have extreme anxiety due to an injury. This situation caused a flair up and I'm still feeling nervous and upset over the treatment I received yesterday. Again I recommend you not order from there. I must agree with the other reviewer in that pizza is a very personal topic. For me this place knocked it out of the park. The prices are very fair (2 topping large for 12 bucks) and the pizza tasted...well...like pizza should taste! The pepperonis are a little greasy but they have great flavor. The ham was the proper thickness for a pizza (not too thin a la donatos and not too thick a la papa johns). The mozzarella cheese used on the pizza tastes like what I would use on my own pizzas at home not like the weird salty mess they use on most nationwide chain pizzas. Unlike the other reviewer my pizza's crust was fantastic. Though it was 1/8 of an inch thick there was plenty of flavor from it. Essentially all I can really say is GO HERE! I worked for Donatos for 9 years.. Now maybe that is the fact that's the reason I think Donatos pizza is gross but maybe not..have had that decsion since the first couple months of working there! And before that only ate donatos from time to time. Now with that said, many people believe that Donatos is the "Best" pizza on the block (atleast that is their moto)!If that's the case then Angie's is the best pizza in the STATE! :) It's a very good blend of fresh ingredients, sweet crispy crust ( which im sure doesn't come frozen before the pizza is made) and a slightly sweet sauce! I've only been to this location a few times. Unfortunately it is the closest location to me. Their pizza just seems different from the other locations. The crust seems a lot thinner than the other locations. I ordered an Xl pizza and when I picked up the box it was like I was only carrying the box. We ordered the deep dish, which we understand takes an hour to bake. The deliver took 25 minutes longer than we were told it would be. The driver forgot out 2 liter and said it would be easier for him to stop at the gas station instead of going back to the store. So we can't wait any longer. I'm not from around this area as I work out of town frequently. I enjoy trying local places as they always seem to be better....but I order delivery which was 15-20 late so my pizza was cold. I order a large pep and a small blt with the cheese breadsticks. The cheese breadsticks are literally Bosco bread sticks with Colby jack cheese melted on top so I paid extra for something I could have done in my microwave but , also showed up cold. Ange's was a favorite growing up (out of the Whitehall location). Love that I can order it for lunch in Hilliard. The Italian sub has always been the best I've had anywhere (just baked enough and the dressing they use will make you drool just thinking about it later). Good, thin pizza, great sauce, nice toppings. Wings are pretty tasty, too, cooked well through. This is just a great "little" pizza place that knows their food and prices it reasonably. My girlfriend and I thought we would try Ange's out, it was new, local, seemed like it may be nice? We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and banana pepper and a large garden salad. The salad was up to expectations and was generally pretty generous although seemed to be very lettuce heavy (IMHO). The pizza was no better, while I think it may have been much better had it been cooked all the way through, it was fairly doughy. The pepperoni's, banana peppers, mushrooms, looked like they had barely been cooked and the pizza was just barely eatable.
