ATMOSPHERE: This place looks like a clean, stripped down diner. As it should because they need to keep prices down. I have been 3 times, each time expecting my fellow patrons to not clean up after themselves but not true! It is always clean. We are huge fans of Angie's, but there may be a local management problem. The volume of the music inside is insanely loud. There are clubs that don't have the music this loud. We did ask an associate to turn down the volume. He repeated what I said to another associate who ignored me and the request. The French fries were cold, not even heat lamp warm. The bathroom doesn't have towels and the restaurant's floor is dirty. It's very difficult to order on the screen because of the glare through the window. Suggestion, consider putting speakers in the kitchen area so the employees can hear the music without turning the volume up so loud or a volume control of some sort. Very excited to discover that Angie's Lobster, owned by the founders of Salad n' Go, also offer the great affordable salads that were once sold at the now-closed Salad n'Go. I'm not a huge fan of lobster rolls so I thought I'd likely never go to Angie's. But the other day I really wanted a salad for lunch. I looked online for salads near me and was shocked to have Angie's pop up. A little menu sleuthing revealed a huge list of $4.99 salads - including grilled chicken! The entry doesn't match the outside and is a bit surprising, as it is bland and stark. There really isn't another place (I can think of) like this one, so I'll do my best to explain (see photos for visual understanding) There is a lot of open space with a few screens up on the wall to the left. These screens display the menu options - there are so many good ones! Once you've decided, place your order on one of three touch screens on the wall. Ordering was self explanatory and pretty easy to follow. The print is large and would have been easy to read, but the glare of the sun shining through the windows made it a bit difficult. The photos of the rolls look like such a generous portion my friend and I decided to share the Warm North Atlantic Snow Crab Roll. We decided on the lemon butter for the sauce, but I'd try spicy honey next time. We opted for the meal which came with fries and what I believe is Angie's Sauce to dip, plus a drink. The menu has you choose your soda flavor, ice quantity and add-ins, but in reality they give you a cup and you go fill it yourself at the drink station. You find yourself a seat and wait until they call your name. Our name was called shortly after we filled our drinks (unsweet iced tea and Dr Pepper). Both were cold, crisp and fresh! **They don't offer straws or knives, only sippy cup lids and forks found here. I am SO BUMMED I forgot to take a photo of our roll! I think I was taken aback at how small it really was. I was starving and looking at the portion we were about to share, I knew I was still going to be starving when we were done. The Snow Crab was indeed warm, fresh and delicious. The french fries were warm and tasty too. I really enjoyed my North Atlantic Snow Crab roll and would definitely order it again. HOWEVER, they have signs all over stating they are able to keep prices low because of their sparse set-up (no cashiers, wait staff, bussers, etc) and limited supplies (nothing but forks and no straws) they also do NOT buss their tables, you as the customer are asked to that before you leave. All which are fine, BUT the prices are NOT LOW!! The tiny roll we split with fries and a drink was $15 - that's not low in my opinion. I do understand fresh, delicious crab and lobster is a premium food so I guess I just need to wrap my mind around the cost. I did look at the other menu items (fries, drink, bowl, wrap, salad) and they are indeed low in cost. Tried Angie's Lobsters after seeing it all over social media. Didn't realize going in that it's a fast food style setup, so that part caught me a little off guard. Not necessarily my usual vibe, so I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. That said, for what it is, it's solid. Cost effective seafood is hard to find and they do it well. They're known for fresh seafood and you can tell it's not an afterthought. Surprisingly, the chicken was very good too. Guests are encouraged to clean their own tables to help keep service moving quickly for employees which I thought was interesting and actually kind of refreshing once you understand the model. I went to try the food in this new place that opened about a month ago, that replaced Boston Market. A very busy day during weekday lunch. A new concept they introduced for a fast food joint. Self service from the time you placed your order to clean up your own mess. We ordered surf and turp (shrimp and steak) bowl and wild caught grilled Mexican shrimps bowl. The shrimp/steak has more rice underneath than spinach/veggies. But the fresh quality of ingredients made it taste good, not outstanding. The wild caught grilled Mexican shrimps were not "colossal" as indicated in their menu, very deceiving. Just a few shrimps with 3 sides I chose, grilled sweet diced potatoes, 2 small slice of avocado and a few sliced of cucumber. It tastes good. They sell drinks using plastic cups, but don't have straws. They don't provide plastic knives, just spoon and fork. Trying to cater and serve healthy food in their own style. It will be a big help if one of your staff is there by the order wall to guide customers, specially Seniors who are not accustomed to operate those monitors and not familiar with hi-tech systems. I love this place! The first time I had Angie's lobster rolls were in Vegas and they definitely were worth the price. Who doesnt love cheap eats?! 10$ lobster rolls? Cant go wrong with that. Pretty good overall, at least for the blue cheese rice bowl, The photos online for the lobster didn't look too fantastic so I went with craving a "Steakhouse" style bowl and I actually enjoyed it, rice was flavorful yet reminded me of uncle Ben's style, blue cheese was in a package which I do not personally like but it tasted yummy still. My humble opinion, even if you are keeping down the costs, you can do better than this. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered a warm Lobster Roll with Plain Butter Meal. It came with Fries and a Drink. The Lobster Roll, while not horrible was kind of meh. The fries I would estimate were done 5 minutes before the Lobster Roll was served. They were room temperature and soggy with grease. I also ordered a Grilled Garlic Flatbread, which had more salt than it did Garlic on it. Verdict: This place needs some work. The idea that customers will take care of the dining room is a mere dream, and even for the ones that do, they may clean up after themselves, but they are not cleaning for the ones that didn't. Friend picked up Angie's to go for a church meeting and it was an overall solid experience. I got the harvest salad which was excellent and great quality for value, and the cold lobster roll which was less great. Lobster was definitely overcooked and the sauce drenched into the roll so much that about 1/3 of it was inedible mush. Probably the time between carry out and actually eating contributed to that, so perhaps eating the food as soon as possible would help in the future. Kiosk's for ordering and there is a lot of open space, everything is pretty much self serve (as well as cleaning up after yourself). Make sure you ask for your drink cups after ordering. The rolls are more like half rolls, but that works for me. The crab tasted a lot better than the lobster to me and the shrimp was overcooked. We got there right after they opened on a Saturday morning, and there was already a line to the door to order. I like their process; you order and pay at one of the three kiosks. Very quick and easy. After a few minutes wait, a table opened up, and we snagged it. A few minutes after that, our order was ready. Side note: the folks calling out the orders were nice and loud. BF and I went to Angie's for the first time yesterday. I gotten the warm lobster with butter roll combo, and his was the jumbo (basically more meat. It didn't look "jumbo" to me.) they give you two packet of sauce, one is melted butter and the other is a type of tarter sauce which I didn't really care for. Slightly mushy, but all in all, very yummy. Fries were decently crispy too. Next time, I'll get the snow crab. No Cash, only cards and Apple/Google pay. We went around 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon expecting it to be slow, but this place was buzzing with customers. The process for ordering your meal is simple and on your left as you walk in the front door. They only had a couple of ordering screens which jammed up the space near the front door as people waited their turn. They could use 1 or 2 more screens. Almost all of the tables were full with customers eating or waiting for their order to be ready. The whole self-serve theme worked well. I saw many people claiming their taste when they were finished so it would be clean for the next customer. The beverage station was a bit messy and could have benefited from some attention by the restaurant staff. All food is served in a bag. The bread on the lobster rolls was delicious. This is a great place to get a cheap lobster roll if you're hungry for one. There are many other items on the menu such as salads and bowls. We will be back to try other items. Worst lobster rolls ever! My wife and I were excited to hear that there was a place in Plano to get a good lobster roll. We discovered lobster rolls on our trip to see the fall leaves in New England several years back. After returning to TX we found a food truck that sells great lobster rolls. We still buy from that truck when it parks anywhere near us in Plano. Upon arrival we found a restaurant were you order from a touchscreen and tap your card... no cash allowed. We ordered with no issues. We then saw that its a clean your own table policy. All the table are greasy and very grimy and most were not even cleared I had to ask for a bottle of cleaner that was not empty, and we cleaned a table and sat down. The trash cans were overflowing and all the counters and floors were disgustingly dirty. Within 5 minutes our name was called. The rolls looked great but the butter and sauce in little clear baggies was odd. With no sauce cup to dip in, you are forced to guess how much to put on. The buns were nice and toasty. However, the lobster was rubbery and tasted old. It was in no way fresh. It had a old fishy aftertaste I have never experienced with lobster. I watched my wife take a big bite and I saw the disgust in her expression. The fry's that came with it are skinny and were cooked well, but nothing special. Think Steak & Shake. The butter in a back quickly becomes the butter in the bottom of your paper basket or all over the table. This explained the greasy feel to everything there. Since the rolls were horrible and we legitimately both took only one bite, we asked for a refund. We were told we would have to go online to request a refund. So now I am waiting on an answer to the form. They don't even have a number to call, Eat here if you want to eat gross food in a dirty restaurant YOU have to clean and get ZERO service. read more

The food was made fresh to order and what I really liked. Was you make your selections off an automated screen, order and pay digitally and then they call your name you get your food it's hot. It's fresh and it's fast. I've had lobster rolls from reds in Maine , barking crab in Boston , Pauleys in Boston and this lobster roll rivals those and in my opinion it's better than Cousins lobster truck here in Texas and it is literally less than half the price. The quesadilla wasn't so great. It wasn't exactly grilled enough. It wasn't melted enough the chicken in it however was fresh was grilled and was tasty. For an overall reasonable meal and a great lobster roll. You cannot beat this place anywhere in the United States. I hope they put one in the suburbs.
