Beef was all connective tissue, the stuff that gets stuck in your teeth and doesn't provide nutrition. Visited olive burger for 1st time . Ordered single patty cheeseburger made it a combo. Burger had just a plain bun. Meat was good texture but no seasoning at all. Kind of bland . French fries were very hot and good . Place was clean including restrooms . I ordered went and filled my drink and 2 small ketchup sat down and it was ready . The meat wasn't overly hot. I think they were pre-cooked and then put on the griddle for just a few minutes to warm it up. That's why it tasted so bland. The American cheese was not really melted much . Although usually deferred in favor of the Richardson location, especially due to a somewhat disappointing first opening, Olive Burger Plano long since has redeemed itself. The interior is large, open, clean and typically fairly quiet, presenting a more relaxed dine in experience compared to its recently expanded counterpart, infamous for crowds and noise abundant. The staff are equivalently efficient and sufficiently communicative, allowing for a streamlined experience, especially due to the inaugural introduction of buzzer based ordering cards. It's nothing you'll write home about, but that goes both ways. As for the real meat of this burger joint, the food here has over time become equally flavorful to its brother location. The same menu of both beef and chicken burgers are on option, meaning you sacrifice nothing selection wise choosing one location or the other. The beef is particularly juicy and can be cooked to order, although I find relinquishing control to the cooks results in the best final product. The main highlights from option to option are the toppings, of which you have the classic trio, as well as beef bacon, mushrooms, jalapeños amongst others which are individually fresh and sufficient in upping the flavor profile of your meal. Certain options are quite similar, but you'll still find yourself coming back to sample what else they have to offer. Wrapping this all up, Olive Burger has well deserved its long lasting reputation of quality halal food. We ordered delivery of two of their regular burgers one with additional sautéed onions and the other with sautéed onions, avocado, & sautéed mushrooms, and a side of fries. The order arrived within the given timeframe and was packed well with the two burgers clearly marked for easy identification. The food was as hot as it could be and the fries were crisp. The burgers were cooked to perfection and stacked well. The only issue I found was that the quantity of sautéed onions was less, nearly none. All in all a very good burger place. read more

Their cheeseburgers have amazing flavor at their core (no toppings even needed)! Customer service is helpful too and prices are very reasonable. Order sweet potato fries to dip into their jalapeño ketchup as a sidekick and you'll be set. The owner tried to get me to hit him. Here is what happened: First off, big fan of the chain, been eating at this location since about 7 months after they opened it. I really enjoy the food as I eat there many times a month, they are #7 on my speed dial (or were, sadly). I placed my order at 11:52 and was told to pick it up in 10 minutes. At 12:06 I show up and paid for my meal. After 10 minutes more of waiting I had to leave as I had a meeting starting very soon and needed to get back to work. Frustrated, I loudly said to the people in the kitchen that I could not wait any longer and had to leave. Not thinking about the fact I already paid I stormed out the door saying it was bullshit. I was told 10 minutes and after 24 It was too much. But wait, our story gets better.... I then realized I had already paid and I want my money back. I go back inside and the owner starts angrily saying "What's your problem?" like an asshole, totally disregarding the fact that they were in the wrong. I told him I had been waiting for 25 mins for my order. He then called me a liar and said no I had only been waiting 10 (he meant physically in the store... he was so clueless to what had happened he did not know I had phoned my order in a while back. I then pull out my phone to show him that I am in fact, not lying, and he continued to call me a liar while refusing to look at the phone, even tho you can see it in huis eye that he realized we ere talking about time longer than I had been standing there. He gave me money (turns out not enough) so I left calling him names as I did. I get in the car and realize I have been shorted. I open my phone to record audio and I go back in to get all my money. I told him he did not give me enough. Knowing it was merely a mistake, I did not care and called him a thief. That's when he came behind the counter and told me I cant talk to him like that, and of course, I can. I mean, I did, so.... wrong, dude. I can totally call you a thief when you shortchanged me. Calling each other names I back out of the store and he follows me outside, places his hands behind and gets all up in my face, clearly wanting me to hit him. I said You wont hit me and he replied back twice "Hit me! Hit me!". Dude is hella psycho. I really hope they share the camera footage so I can pair it with my audio and y'all can see the craziness of what happened. Anyway, sucks that I wont be going back there, they lost a whole family's business. I cant look at how many times my father has paid for dinner there but I did a quick search on my card's transaction history over the past 4 years (as far bask as I can go) and I have paid for 71 meals there during that time. read more

I ordered the Gyro on pita because I always like to try something different and I'm happy to say I've found a legit gyro place when I get a craving! . My gyro was huge and loaded with tasty meat- a hand-carved mix of beef and lamb. It had the perfect amount of toppings and the tzatziki sauce was just right. . This place has really wonderful flavor combinations. Especially for the grilled chicken mushroom sandwich and the olive burger. The olives are excellent quality, strongX and green, exactly the way my Algerian (Arab) husband likes it. The cheese is also great quality and was melted to perfection. The only thing that I felt was wanting on the burger was the meat itself-- I think perhaps they get the patties in frozen or cut them on a machine instead of forming them by hand and they're thin and resemble a fast food burger... while this is good for consistency of the cook.... I him just wish they were hand formed or have a 1/2 lb option so the patty could be thicker if you wanted it that way. Also.... My toddler really wanted a cheeseburger but they don't have a JR burger or mini burger for kids , and the options on the kids menu seemed quite expensive. I get it halal but $7 for nuggets or strips?? Common. It could be more family friendly. I knocked off two-stars for that. Also... the cheese on the cheesy fries were not melted. That was disappointing. But the quality is there and we will definitely be back. The Oreo shake is the bomb. And my husband loved the olives on his burger.
