The "elite" Yelpers reviewing this place obviously don't get it - this is a no-bulls*t coal region pizza place, in business since 1951 and for good reason. And it's the absolute best. Unique and delicious with golden bubbly cheese. It's not fair to call this Old Forge Style - it's a style all it's own. Eat it with a cold beer, and enjoy the nostalgic decor. My family and I have enjoyed Angie's for over 40 years. We used the have this whenever we visited my father's family in Dickson City. Yes it's different, yes it's an American Cheese style pizza. This is not Old Forge or other style so just be ready. I like to say, "if you know you know" this is some of the best pizza and for me best comfort food I can ever eat. I lived in dickson city for over 15years beforre i moved away in 2013. I thought angie's was one of the best pizza's i ever had. It was hand made and i mean hand pressed dough. great cheese and sauce. The place was very nice it had that eating in your own living room feel. Had great service and was quiet and relaxing. I returned a few times since leaving. In 2024 i returned and was just blown away with the changes. The place was remodeled and it lost that homey feel. They added gambling machines. So now there are drunks being loud gambling. It just felt likea place to not bring your kids. Drunk loud people in a small setting. It felt obnoxious. The pizza totally changed to me as well. There must of been a change of hands at this place. I believe the old owners died and left the place to someone else. Everything has changed. Now the pizza is machine pressed. The cheese is the same but less. and same with the sauce.. end product is the pizza just doesn't taste the same it used to be. This was one of my favorites of all time but now i will not return. To the owners start making the pizza like it was made years ago. Disappointed customer. read more

I don't get all of the rave reviews for this pizza. In Scranton on business, I decided to get them a try and I wish I hadn't. The positives: nice people, lots of toppings and good crust. The negatives: very little sauce and the cheese reminded me of Velveeta or Cheez Whiz. It just ruined the pizza. Bring cash as they don't take credit cards, which I totally get. read more

I was nervous about trying the pizza after I heard new owners took over. While I did miss the bubblegum pail I remembered as a child, the pizza was delicious and exactly how I remembered it, right down to the small pieces of darker cheese on the top! It was perfect! read more

My friend and I stopped in because we heard Angie's pizza is excellent. A sweet, older woman greeted us and informed us it was cash only. No problem since as soon as we walked in, we were hit with the delicious smell of pizza. We got cash at a nearby bank and returned. I am so glad we did because the red pizza was INCREDIBLE!!!! We ended up ordering a second tray and ate every bite. The woman was so kind and really appreciative of our business. This review is solely based on the quality/taste of Angie's Pizza as I have never had the opportunity to sit in and eat here. Their pizza is somewhat small but it is worth every bit of it. Probably a top 3 favorite of mine in the valley. I have a problem choosing between Andy's, Angie's, and Luigi's. I highly recommend the hot and sweet pepper style! This evening I ordered 4 of their frozen pizzas. I had my son pick them up. He was not home when I ordered and I did not tell him they were supposed to be frozen. I didn't feel the need because I ordered FROZEN pizzas. When my son got home with the pizzas I asked him to put one in the oven. Next thing I know my fire alarm is going off. I look in the oven to find a half cooked, warm pizza with a quarter size hole ... cheese pouring all over my oven. Needless to say I called to have my pizzas replaced. I explained I ordered 4 frozen pizzas and mine were partially cooked. Actually, completely cooked on top with raw dough. I was told by Bob he wasn't going to take a loss on 4 pizzas. He told me to put them in the freezer and reheat them. He said "sorry lady I don't know what to tell you or what you want me to do." He called my son a numbskull for not realizing they were warm. I explained my son picked up the pizza and wasn't aware what I ordered. Bob proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do and didn't know what to tell me. He then hung up on me. My son, who is 17, was offended by his comments, attitude, and rude behavior as a business owner so he called. He said this is the "numbskull" and I would like my pizzas replaced. Bob began to yell at him, call him an a$$hole, again refused to rectify HIS mistake and ended the conversation by telling my son he will "rip him a new a$$hole" and hung up on him as well. For as much as I love Angie's Pizza they will not be getting my business ever again. I am a long time customer and to be treated with such disrespect by the owner is shocking! You should be ashamed! As the owner how dare you treat your customers with such disrespect! And to threaten a 17 year old who was nothing but polite and asking for the order to be replaced!?! Disgusting! Be advised if they screw up your order they will not replace it because in the words of Bob, the owner, you're the "numbskull!" read more
