I really hate to do this, but I've eaten at Angie's a hundred times and I just can't excuse this anymore. They like to give out mini ice cream cones as a treat after dinner but the waiter/waitress is always bare handing the cone. Could you please put a piece of paper or napkin in between your hands and the cones? It's just nasty. Update: my Mother read my review and laughed. She goes to Angie's all of the time. She enjoyed her meal and SPECIFICALLY asked for napkins around her ice cream cone. The waiter obliged upon return with a handful of napkins in the left hand and bare hands on the cones in the right. This is a mighty popular place during lunchtime in the fair town of Logan. I was trying to be a little healthier than usual, so I ordered a vegetarian burger with fries, and it was actually delicious. Our server was friendly and funny. It's one of those places that is awesome with a diverse group of customers, without the pretentiousness of some "foodie" places that try too hard to be trendy. I'm guilty. I've driven past Angie's 100 times and never given it a second glance. Until this morning. I needed a close breakfast spot to take some of my employees and Angie's came recommended by some of the locals. First impressions were good. Nice mix of an older crowd and a younger crowd. Full but not packed. Friendly host, friendly servers. The menu at Angie's is HUGE. Literally and old school menu that is tall enough to play hide and seek behind. Didn't take a lot of time to go through dinner or lunch but they were sizable in selection. I went through breakfast top to bottom and a couple things impressed me. First there are a ton of vegetarian options. GOOD vegetarian options (important since I had a non-awesome-meat-eater with me.) She went for the Florentine Benedict and it was great. Great enough that I will be ordering it next time. Second, there is a wide variety of items on the menu that are not just variations of eggs, meat, and cakes. Sure, they have those simple items but they add some killer twists like cream cheese badder, etc, that make them cool. I opted for traditional Eggs Benedict and they were perfect. Pricing was impressive as well. 5 people, full breakfasts, drinks. ~$60 bucks. Not too bad at all. Looking forward to another visit to Angie's. That Florentine is calling my name. read more

The place advertises itself a "Where the locals come to eat" and that does a good job summing up this place. The place feels like the town diner and is a Logan, UT institution. When I was in there recently for lunch, it was full of families and people who seemed like regulars. As for the food, I ordered the Denver Omelet. Pretty standard diner breakfast and it was done well. The hash browns were crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside. The biscuits were a little wrinkled and looked like they'd been sitting out awhile, but then it was around 11 am, so I'll give them a pass. Interior is pretty generic diner. My server was pretty friendly and professional. I come to Logan periodically on business and will certainly come back here again. read more

Every time we go here the place is always hoppin'. The waiters/waitresses are nice and make sure that everything is pretty good. I came here with my family on a chilly evening when we were just looking to warm up with some hot chocolate. We knew not what to expect with Angie's. We tried another local establishment first but they had run out, which led us to try Angie's. First of all, we were seated quickly even though it was busy and even though we only ordered 5 hot chocolates, the service was still attentive and our water glasses never got below half full. When you're pounding that much sugar, you need some water to wipe the slate clean once in a while, so that was much appreciated. The hot chocolate was quite good, and served in pint glasses, not small mugs, and topped with real whipped cream. This was really a pleasant surprise and I won't hesitate to try Angie's for some real food next time I'm in Logan. Why not 5 stars you ask? I expect a restaurant to be able to serve a burger better than I can at home. I mean, it's their job to cook food. They do this every day, but they seem like they can't get it right. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with avocado & jalapeno's. At first sight, when they just set it on my table, it looked pretty good. That's where all the good ended, from that point it only was worse and worse. My biggest concern was the beef in this burger. It tasted bland, and as if it was cooked then frozen, then reheated for my order. It was DRY!! I mean, if you were to throw the patty in the juicer, you wouldn't get a drop of anything. The fries I did not touch, just gross. I actually only enjoyed the chips and salsa appetizer. That was it. Everything else was regretful. The water they brought out to me was just so gross, I'm not sure if it's just their tap water. It taste like public pool water. Great little diner! Is it full of old booths, banquet chairs and a weird collection of paintings for sale on the walls? Yes. You know what else it's full of? Customers. This place is always packed, and for good reason. The service is friendly and FAST, and the food overall is pretty good. Our server was a cute girl named Shanda. Very friendly and good at her job. We placed our order, and our soups were out 2 or 3 minutes later. My daughter had the tomato florentine with meatballs. I had a few bites and it was really good. I had the clam chowder. By the third bite, all I could taste was black pepper. It had some nice chunks of clam, but the pepper overwhelmed the dish. Disappointing, as I love clam chowder. Less than 5 minutes after getting out soup, our entrees arrived. Very fast! We had the turkey bacon melt and the beef philly melt. Both were excellent! I LOVED the crusty grilled sourdough bread - sooooo good on a cold day. (It was 22 below zero today). The Philly was super tasty, the mushrooms really added to the flavor. The au jus was just right, and pipin' hot. The hoagie bun was soft and warm. Amazing that they can pump good food out of the kitchen so quickly, as we came at 1230 and it was packed. We failed! We barely even ate half of it. 2 adults and 2 kids. It was just to big! This challenge would be better with 8 adults. 4 for the top and 4 for the bottom which is a good idea because they put toppings in layers through the ice cream. Why the 5 stars? It is fun to see delivered to the table, fun to see the kids big eyes, fun to try and not to mention it was pretty yummy. Angie's Restaurant is a small town diner-style restaurant with lots of comfy booths and counter seating. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of restaurants open in Logan on Sundays and Angie's is one of the few that is open. For breakfast I ordered my traditional two eggs over easy with hash browns and bacon. It was good, but nothing special. My bacon was fatty and honestly kind of gross. It had an unusual taste, as if it had been cooked in something weird... Not sure what the flavor was, but it was not good. My hash browns featured an unwelcome addition, an eight inch brown hair... It didn't really gross me out, but it's never great to find that sort of thing in your food... When I told our waitress about the hair she offered to replace my order, but we'd already waited so long for our food that I didn't want to wait even more. So I just ate what I had. To say sorry our waitress ended up giving me one of their homemade cinnamon rolls. Finally, to add further insult to an already disappointing meal, my toast was not hot and the butter hadn't melted as a consequence. My Dad and my wife were also disappointed with their breakfasts. Maybe we just visited Angie's on a bad deal. Maybe. But the food was pretty bad and I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

It is always quite busy and full of locals. It is a great breakfast spot with many options for late night stops as well. It is typical greasy spoon diner so expect that some of the items are only mid tier food items, but most things are a safe bet. I love the scones, the oatmeal, and the skillets as my top choices. We of course definitely tried to clean the sink a few times, the trick is to get light toppings. All in all a definite stop in Logan. read more

It is a bit more expensive than expected (I paid $3.99 for a small cup of not fresh orange juice) but the food was made quickly and was delicious. Great diner food. They have everything you could want from this style of restaurant. All day breakfast and lunch, classic dinner selections. Huge portions and all the classics. Their breakfasts skillets and starches (scones, waffles, pancakes, French toast) are awesome. Food is well cooked and comes out quick. Service is great. Loses a star because their savory dishes need more love. Several dishes came out under-seasoned, Hollandaise sauce lacked courage, and dinner selections were fine but not extraordinary. It's a diner, so I didn't expect haut cuisine. But even in the stuff they did serve, the cooks could have pushed the envelope a bit more. Perhaps that has to do with the tastes of their established clientele. Regardless, this is obviously a local favorite and a good one to try. Try to get in early before the crowds. read more
