Unfortunately, the food was not good. Granted they substituted my dinner for a 2nd option, but the fish was not as described and it was not good. I ordered a $38 piece of large grouper and it could not have been more than 3 ounces maybe 4 is covered with a breading crabcake, it was terrible. We came at the end of the night and I think they were just out of grouper, so they tried to bury it in this 2 cups of crusted, fishy breadcrumbs, and it was not good. Again, fish tacos had two modest bites of fish. Drinks were good. Service was good, fireworks on Wednesday night, pier closes early. One said their chicken nuggets and fries were good. read more

We visited during Memorial Day weekend, and while walking down the pier, saw that they would have a firework show later at night. It seemed like the obvious choice to dinner here and watch the fireworks show in their outdoor sections of the restaurant (one is truly outdoors and upstairs, while the other is within a mesh to keep out bugs). You could also takeout the food and eat on the pier as there are tables and chairs on it, though I suppose atp you could just have food from anywhere. The service here is a bit a slow. They are busy at night, so it makes sense, but they don't take reservations, and you cannot leave your name or anything to be called for later. We were suggested to come back later and they'll seat us if there's a space available. We decided to wait nearby to ensure an outdoor table. Once seated, we did take awhile to order, and our server was really nice. The food did take some time to come out, and it was fine. Definitely paying for being on the beach though the fish itself was cooked well. It was soft and broke apart easily. The coleslaw was meh, and if possible, definitely swap it for something else. While the food did take awhile to arrive and later their card reader was down, so we had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes to pay for our meals, it was overall still a good night. Our view of the fireworks was amazing, and though it was a short show, it was really fun! read more

Went in for lunch and left looking like we survived a hot sauce explosion. The bartender dropped a full bottle of Tabasco at our feet--it shattered everywhere and absolutely coated us. Accidents happen. What doesn't have to happen is the complete lack of accountability that followed. My shoes--$180 from Dillard's--are ruined. My husband's brand-new shoes? Also destroyed. Covered, stained, and reeking. We asked to speak to a manager expecting some kind of reasonable resolution. Instead, we were offered... drinks. Drinks. As if that somehow fixes being soaked in hot sauce, ruining our belongings, and completely killing our meal. So now we're driving 45 minutes home, still hungry, smelling like Tabasco, with ruined shoes and zero attempt to actually make it right. Service was horrible. We were 1 of 2 tables inside, took about 10ish minutes just to get our drink orders/ greeted. Was told he was taking over for whoever's section we were in. Took food order came out that was only time asked if we needed anything. Sat with empty drinks the rest of dinner since he never came back one to ask for refills. Food was okay but service SUCKED. There was hardly anybody there and a storm had hit so the place was empty. we sat for 25 minute on the back area and nobody greeted us. there were maybe 3 total tables around, the other has to go inside and request their own check. disappointing since the menu looked good, we were ready to order multiple apps and food for a family of 4, but completely ignored after 25 minutes. no thanks, our money will go elsewhere. read more

This was a much needed mini vacation. I love being near the beach. Angler's Beachside GRILL was located right on the beach, hench the na.e lol. Of course we sat on the patio. Our waiter was well informed of the drink and food menu. He gave great recommendations. Each time I'm in Florida, I'm only eating SEAFOOD! I ordered Gator bites, Rockefeller Oysters, and a Crown Royal cocktail. Everything was very seafoodlicious. Even though my drink tasted like Kool-aid, it was tasty. Destin will always be one of the best Florida destinations. Can't wait to return. read more

My partner and I had a great time! Dillon (not sure of the spelling) was awesome! She suggested we get the Bang Bang (or was it Boom Boom?) Shrimp and get the sauce on the side and also get the coconut shrimp sauce on the side. Best of both worlds! Talk about bang-bang for your buck-- the amount of food we had was INSANE, and the price that we paid wasn't off the wall. The only thing I wish was different was that the construction going on in the front was a little offputting, but I can tell that the location cares about their customers, so I didn't mind. The food was excellent. The grouper (grilled) fingers were kind of small, but with the exception of those, the amount of food we got was MORE than enough. I look forward to going back when I am visiting in the area. It's not too far from home, so they will certainly see me back on a warm, sunny day! read more

Saturday night dinner here was NOT pleasant at all. All three Greeters/Hostesses were not even smiling or welcoming, We ordered appetizers which included dozen raw oysters and 1/2 order Rockefeller oysters, Fried Gator bites and the Fried Gators came out all different size nuggets and UNdERCOOKED. Small pieces were pink inside and big pieces were hot pink in the middle! We could still get sick 6-72 hours later! They did not charge us for it and took the rest away. Entrees included Kid Fried grouper and fries which were pretty decent, and Grilled Red fish topped with Alexandria topping-the red fish could have been grouper for all I know and the topping was made with frozen baby shrimp instead of fresh shrimp and was NOT worth additional $8. The sides were cold, barely warm. Dirty rice was disgusting flavorless and mushy, vegetable medley was NOT fresh broccoli with cherry tomatoes and sliced red onions and the roasted garlic mashed potatoes were NASTY amd SOUR! Very disappointed and DO not eat here unless you have no taste buds and standards for food. Horrible food and ambiance. read more

Came in on a Friday night. Not sure why it only has 3 stars. Everything we had was good. Anywho, we sat in the bar area because it looked like there were families with kids in the dining room area. We ordered the Fried Grouper sandwich with fries and the blackened grilled chicken creole pasta which were both delicious. The pasta was a pretty big portion size I couldn't finish. Sauce on the pasta was flavorful and the chicken was tender. We also got the hushpuppies to start and those were fantastic! I would've liked some butter to dip but it was great without it. We ordered the combo fried platter with grouper and shrimp, the shrimp and grits, the grilled chicken sandwich and the smoked tuna dip appetizer. Everything had great flavor, arrived at the proper temperature and relatively fast considering how busy they were. Our server was attentive to our needs and kept our glasses full. We had a great visit to Angler's. The service was phenomenal. Our server (Lydia, I believe) was excellent. She was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and area attractions. We had the Cajun pasta (one chicken and one shrimp) and both were great with large portions. We also had drinks (Angler's Rum Punch) that were great. We sat inside because we wanted out of the humidity for a bit, but they have outside seating that has a great view for those wanting that. We visited several restaurants while in town and Angler's was by far our favorite. We will definitely return. read more

YUM!! We stayed at a condo within walking distance of Angler's on our family vacation and ended up going three times, which says a lot! So many people recommended it and I can see why. The food was really good every time. My husband got the crab crusted blackened grouper twice and kept talking about it after (he will forever talk about that dish it was so good!!) I loved the tuna, especially the tuna dip and the kids enjoyed the mac n cheese. Service was great each time and we also got to catch the sunsets after dinner, absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This was recommended by a friend but was a bit disappointed. We were there early evening. There was construction going on. Pounding and sawing the whole time we eat. The initial waitress was crabby, seemed like we were bothering her. I ordered the Gumbo and Shrimp and grits. It took a while to get the food. The Gumbo was cold. Then our orders came out wrong except my husbands so he ate we sat 15 more minutes while they made our orders correct. Server said sorry I hit the wrong button then never refilled our drinks. Emma was wonderful, our bacon wrapped scallops and vegetable medley were delicious. The snow crab was good, but we've had better. Emma's service and attentiveness pushed our review to 4 stars. If you are a scallops fan (our second visit to this restaurant in 3 days), definitely try the scallops fixed any way you like. read more

Stopped by last night for dinner. The 3 ladies working the host stand couldn't have made it more evident they absolutely hated their jobs and it was such a bother they had to do their job - seating people. Alligator bites were uncooked. The oysters were delicious. The every side dish we ordered was either cold, spoiled or mushy. The only side dish that was edible were the French fries (pretty hard to mess that one up). Visit elsewhere that is welcoming and good food bc this place isn't it. read more

She got a great breeze and the pier is right there and that's all I have to say with my limited experience. I know it's expensive though you wouldn't think looking at it, but it will knock you out for the prices. My family recently went for All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes on a Saturday morning. We each received our first plate of 2 pancakes and never were able to get any more. While the two we received were delicious we had a bad experience. Our poor waitress kept coming to us and saying she asked the kitchen for more and was still waiting. She was so sweet and apologetic and we knew this wasn't her fault at all. After being there for about an hour we finally spoke to the manager who decided to give us 50% off our bill. I still feel we overpaid for the minimal amount we received. We left hungry and frustrated. If they advertise All-You-Can-Eat then we should have gotten more than 2 pancakes each. i sat down for dinner monday night i had a pleasant experience overall, largely thanks to the wonderful hostesses. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me warmly with genuine smiles and made me feel very welcome. They were friendly, professional, and quick to get me seated definitely set a great tone for the visit. However, I did notice that one of the servers seemed a bit unattentive during my time there. It felt like they were distracted or overwhelmed, and I had to wait longer than expected for service or to get refills. Dang we just had the worst oyster Rockefeller we've ever had. How disappointing. Burnt cheese on top and cooked soooooo long the oysters literally shriveled to a fine size. First, why would the chef allow that careless plate to come out of the kitchen?! But then our waitress also thought it was ok. Is there no damage control or expediting?!! The fish tacos were decent and the fries were great but the star should've been the oysters. Also- on the side, our cocktails weee also terrible. None of us even finished them. Bummer, but then what can you expect from a tourist trap. They really don't care about quality, just mass quantity. We should've known better so we take responsibility too for choosing it. We are fairly regular customers of their breakfast. Unfortunately they only serve breakfast on Saturday, and don't open till 8am. I got a western omelet, it was excellent, came with breakfast potatoes (basically French fries that are cut in short pieces), and whole wheat toast. Was only $8,99 which is a good price. The wife got one egg with sausage, grits and a biscuit ($7.99) Also good, though she thought the sausage was slightly spicy. They are also running a special of AUCE pancakes only $6.99. I haven't had them but the table behind me liked them. Service is great, nice view. Good prices of everything except for beverages. read more

Came in hungry enough to eat a dolphin whole, left full, happy, and slightly in love with our server Morgan. The food slapped harder than my grandma's chancleta and the beachfront view made me feel like a rich Florida retiree minus the tan lines. Morgan was hilarious, on point, and somehow kept a straight face while dealing with my dumb jokes and ten thousand questions about the menu. I'd trust her with my life. Or at least my seafood order. We had a great experience at Angler's Beachside Grill. The food was really good with generous portions and came out fresh and hot. The setting is perfect with a relaxing beachfront view that makes the whole meal feel like a vacation. Our server Morgan truly made the visit memorable. She was funny, kind, and on top of everything. Her personality added a ton to the experience and you can tell she genuinely cares about her guests having a good time. Overall the food was tasty, the atmosphere was great, and the service was even better.
