Had the worst restaurant experience here i've had in a long time. Not just from the food but from the deceitful charges, and what felt like a payment scam. Unfortunately despite having enjoyed their menu in the past, I DO NOT recommend anyone come here; if you do ask for a paper receipt and pay in cash to ensure you're not being overcharged. ((Full Details Below)) We loved this location due to the delicious chicken and fries, but have not been here in over a year since the new management. We ordered a whole chicken (10 pieces of chicken variety $28.99 with 2 sauces +$1 each sauce, Large Fries $7.99 + $1.00 for flavor rub, and one soft drink $2.99). The menu is slightly different than from what we remember so we asked for advice, one of the sauces came recommended by the waitress. Note that we already knew the price range and already expected to drop $45-60 for two people, including the tip. We get our food, 5 one sauce 5 another sauce, strongly disliked one of the flavors, we couldn't eat it. Ate the other 5 pieces, it was delicious. We ask if it was possible to switch the 5 pieces of chicken for another flavor, they said since they cannot take the chicken back to the kitchen they won't/cannot switch them with a different flavor, but if we place another order of chicken they will give us 20% off. We decline, we'll just eat the 5 pieces we did like and leave the ones we didn't. Oh well right? That's life. Waitress comes back and says they will give us a discount on the chicken. That's nice of them, thank you! She comes while i'm still munching with an electronic pay pad, no itemized receipt like at other restaurants, points the machine to my fiance to tap his card. Total is $47.something she says, I tell her i'm paying cash so please bring us a paper receipt. She leaves, my fiance comments "that seems high" me, i didn't notice at all. Waitress comes back with the paper receipt and we begin doing our own calculations. I notice that they charged us for two half chickens (16.99 each) instead of what we ordered which was a whole chicken with 2 sauces ($28.99, $1 each sauce = $30.99) That's a $3 dollar difference, in which we are overpaying by $3 than what we had originally ordered. Waitress tries to explain to us that they removed our original order to discount the chicken, but that still doesn't reason why they are charging us for TWO half chickens instead of just discounting off the whole chicken order we originally place. She says it's because it's one sauce so half of the chicken, so half chicken charge. Then we tell her that even with the discount, the way they are charging us for two half chickens cancels out the discount and we are still overpaying at the end compared to our original order. We tell them to remove their discount, we don't want it and to charge us for the whole chicken that we had ordered originally. Waitress goes back to talk to the manager and then comes back and "corrects" the problem giving us a 50% on one of the half chicken orders. This time we weren't overpaying, but they still never corrected the order to reflect our original whole chicken order, keeping the two half chicken orders. At the end if we hadn't noticed we would have left overpaying for a meal we didn't enjoy. The part that is most upsetting is that we were not rude to anyone, just told them we disliked the sauce, accepted when they said they wouldn't switch it out, we didn't ask for a discount, they offered it. Note we still tipped after this. I don't know if this was done on purpose but what I can say is that we felt deceived, we will not be coming here despite this being a staple food spot for our relationship. Very sad. read more

I I'm surprised by the good reviews. We were completely unimpressed. To start off the establishment is really dirty feeling. The table with a plastic cloth felt sticky. The windows are noticeably grimy and they leave silverware in an open container on the table for anyone to touch. We both had the fried shrimp dinner. The fries are good. No ketchup was offered. The shrimp came with watered down ranch which we used for our fries and a fast food container of cocktail sauce. In all fairness I would give 2.5 stars but I just cannot bring myself to 3 stars. Then I was invited to an all-you-can-eat outing here for a group lunch, which I thought was interesting as I only know of Korean BBQ places offering AYCE. I walked in and immediately realized it is now run as an Indian restaurant due to the intense incense aroma. Sometimes perceptions really are more important. When you expected A but received B, you feel off. So even though some of the fried chickens really aren't bad, somehow I felt "deceived", because, maybe I wasn't in the mood for Indian that day? I am definitely rooting for their Angry Chicken Lettuce Wrap. But what stole my heart was their Baked Wings with Angry Buffalo ( spicy)sauce on the side. The Angry Chicken Biryanis came in a close third. A bit heavy if you think of the Bastmati rice with it. You can definitely have this alone for lunch or dinner. Out & about, we decided to try out angry chicken. It's been on our list of new places to try out, plus I was really craving fried chicken. This chicken spot, threw me a little off guard in the best possible way. I wasn't expecting the menu items, dipping sauces, or for that matter Indian food options on their menu. They also offer tons of gluten free options which is a huge plus. The 1/2 Fried chicken was spot on. It was fried to perfection, hot, juicy, crispy & just all the things you need a good fried chicken to be. All the dipping sauces were good loads of gluten free sauces to choose from as well. My favorite was the honey garlic out of the bunch we ordered. I also ordered the angry chicken trio, curry chicken & tandoori wings were solid, coconut rice was fragrantly delicious. Looked this place up on Yelp! and glad I found it. The service is amazing and very pleasant. We got 50% off the chicken bone in wings. The flavors were original, honey garlic, lemon pepper and Cajun. All of them were good, however honey garlic was amazing! The waitress found out it was my daughter's birthday and gave her a slice of chocolate cake that was decadent. I ordered a Fried Rice dish to go. My total was $16.19. I have the lady $20.00. She goes to get change and gives me $3.00. I tell her that she owes me .81 cents. She tells me that the management rounds everything up basically keeping your change. I told her that is blatant stealing. She told me to talk to management. She tried to justify stealing from me. I told her that's illegal. Long story short she gave me my money and said she will speak to the owner! Which I doubt. I was told it came with soy sauce. I didn't get it and no fork or spoon either. I haven't tasted the food because I don't have a utensil and I'm not going back in to complain because they acted like I was trippin when I asked for my change. I came back as promised before, but this time with my family. I couldn't wait for them to try the chicken wings at Angry chicken. We ordered 40 piece wings. Our first order came out quickly, hot and fresh wings were served. Yummy! I ordered honey garlic, original, habanero and spicy soy wings. All of them delicious as always, my family really enjoyed it. The service was a little slow but it's because there were many tables to attend just for two servers. Bathrooms were clean, and also the dinning area was nice and neat. Our server was really friendly and helped us out choosing more flavors. I guess this will be our next favorite spot for hot wings in Aurora. Last summer, when my husband I were here we raved about the service, the food and the atmosphere. The owner came out to chat with us and gave us recommendations on what to try. Last night we were in the mood for wings, so remembering how great this place was, I asked my husband to make the trek up to Aurora for carry out. What a disappointment and waste of money. When my husband picked up the carry out order, *every single* item was wrong. He discussed it with the staff. They agreed it was wrong, said it would take a few minutes to fix. We opened the order at home...and it was the exact same food order and obviously *every single* item was still wrong. Half the wings were splashed with a sticky extremely hot red-brown sauce, so those went directly in the trash. The other half were naked, but not the breaded as requested and the sauce on the side was the wrong sauce. The sweet potato fries were regular crinkle fries. I saved the staff the unpleasant experience of my husband making the phone call to let them know what a disaster our meal was. The response was a noncommittal "next time you come in, we'll give you something". No thanks. Also while waiting on the incorrect order, it was noted by my husband there were two extremely drunk customers and the restaurant could have been cleaner. New ownership as of Aug 1, 2024. Noticeable differences upon arrival are that 90% of the tables now have table cloths/coverings and no more hip hop/R&B music replaced with country and and easy listening. The temperature in the restaurant is cold, I grabbed a light blanket from the car to be comfortable but the food cools off fast because of it. The fried chicken seemed the same but the amount of sauce was definitely less. The heartbreaker for me was the wellbeing chicken, similar flavor but the crisp skin just wasn't there. After trying some of the offerings at an event, we've been dying to stop in. The service was great. Everyone was so incredibly friendly. Our waiter was so nice and helped us order. Tried their classic fried chicken lunch option and swapped out the fries for a salad. Also got a side of their corn. Was surprised by a $1.00 take out charge. Haven't ever seen this before. So I ended up opting out of adding any tip. What made it worst about this was there was no plasticware, napkin nor salad dressing with the order. Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening a little before 7 pm. It looked empty at first which was a bit alarming but there was a couple people seated already to the right side of the restaurant. First impression: American restaurant serving Korean food. The music choice being played overhead was reggae. I was seated right away, wasn't serviced until 10 minutes or so, and food took around 10 minutes as well. While I was waiting for my food, the people behind me asked for service 2 minutes after being seated and was immediately serviced which is great. However, the person assisting just took a seat next to the customers when taking their order which I thought was odd and unprofessional. I ordered a large original fried chicken ($27.99) with 2 different sauces: spicy soy and honey garlic ($1.50 per sauce) I was really looking forward to the Korean fried chicken but I was severely disappointed. When they were first served I was so hungry that I was just happy to have food in front of me but after processing what was actually in front of me I could finally see that what was served wasn't Korean fried chicken but typically American fried chicken covered in "Korean style sauce". First thing to take note, you'll need to ask for the pickled radish since its not automatically served with the chicken. The sauce on the chicken isn't properly tossed but just drizzled on. The honey garlic tasted like sweet butter and when you dip it in the sauce on the tray you'll get an overwhelming sweet honey flavor with a hint of garlic. The sauce for spicy soy was good but I had to constantly flip the chicken around on the tray to try and dip it in the sauce on the tray. Texture of the fried chicken was good. It was served hot, crunchy, and juicy. The sauce however was disappointing in how they were executed and the overall taste of the honey garlic was not great. There was a bucket on the table you could drop your chicken bones in which is typical at a Korean fried chicken place that I've been to previously. This is a really cool little spot on Havana St. It's one of the anchor stores in an Asian mini strip mall per se area. We were greeted by a very friendly and smiley server. She got us some water and gave us a few minutes to review the menu after telling me about the restaurant since it was my first time there. I was referred by RLamar Clothing CEO; Ricky told me I must have the honey garlic Korean Fried Chicken wings and a side of white rice. He was not wrong at all. Let me explain this chicken to yall!!! Beautifully fried chicken wings, they were not greasy. They were tossed in their honey garlic sauce! This is one of the most tasty sauces I have had for some wings. If you have the willpower to let them sit for over 5 mins because they are so good & addictive and then take a bite, you will be in heaven. These wings transform; the sauce now that it has settled is like candy coated wings in an amazing honey garlic glaze. Candied coated Honey Garlic Wings is next level, I tell ya! For $35, you got to have all you can eat wings, two drinks, and listen to a DJ spinning 90s RnB. This was perfect as you got to experience all other flavors of their chicken, i.e., Hababero Mango, Lemon Pepper, Honey Garlic, Original, Spicy Soy, Sweet & Spicy, Salt & Vinegar. My top 3 are: #3 Habanero Mango, #2 Salt & Vinegar, #1 Honey Garlic. They had two very flavorful barbecue sauces to try to. The best thing about their sauces is that they are not just Spicy they a packed with flavor, so the spicy is pleasant and not just kick. Overall, the vibes were fantastic, great RnB playing, dancing, great drinks, chicken, sides, etc. The service was great, people refilling water glasses, clearing plates, taking beverage orders, etc. This is one of my favorite new places, but the #1 KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN spot in Colorado. I'm not trying to be funny, but they deserve a Michelin star for their Honey Garlic Chicken alone. Who do I talk to, to get Michelin people to come experience this place. Some of the best chicken around! I went to a yelp event and Angry Chicken was one of the vendors being featured. There food at the event was good so I wanted to go into the restaurant and try it fresh! They did not disappoint. Plenty of and seating. I love the indoor seating style. They have many private alcoves that way your meal can feel more intimate with friends or family. My favorite was the fries and original chicken! I am a baby with spice so you can get the sauces on the side or just have some dry rub on your chicken, and fries. I was impressed, the food typically takes around 15-20 minutes but it is worth the wait. They do also have good drink options and plenty of Soju. I would probably skip the mac and cheese next time as I felt it was lacking flavor however the chicken and fries were out of this world. Just buy the $160 order and the worker forgot to charge the rice for 2ish dollars and ask the customer to come back to pay cash without accepting the credit card fee. First they make the mistakes, they should come to my place to get that 2 dollars cash not asking the customer to go back and keep disturbing the customer while they are eating. They do their batter a little differently, still rice, flour, and still gluten-free, but it somehow maintains the texture and crunch of a nice light Classic fried chicken! The dry rubs are showstoppers here! One of their newest flavors is a mango habanero that is to die for! And my absolute favorite is to get the naked wings with salt and vinegar rub on them... I swear to you, it taste just like the classic potato chip! The owner is so nice, usually walking around talking to pouring shots of Soju! This is one of the gems of Havana Street for sure! If I'm looking for Korean Fried Chicken, this has become my go to. A typical order for me and whoever I'm with looks like whatever chicken we're feeling like and some garlic noodles. The staff here is nice and efficient, and do a good job of keeping water cups refilled even when it's busy. You can always flag down a server using the buttons they have attached to your table to call your server as well. I gravitate toward the honey garlic chicken during my visits, almost certainly because of how consistently delicious it is. Other highlights include the army stew the the garlic heavy garlic noodles.
