I had a pickup at 7:45 and once I came in I didn't get a welcome, I came up to the register and asked if my food was ready since I was a little early but i knew I was a little early so I did mention to the worker it wasn't a problem to wait. But I'm glad they did make my meal before the time it was suppose to be ready, once I left I was checking inside the bag and only found once sauce but I paid for a second one. My husband went inside for me and I gave him the receipt so that they can see I ordered a second one. The worker said they didn't have anymore and my husband ask if he can get his change back since we didn't get any sauce but she said that she isn't a manager. For $16, you get two chicken sandwiches (spice level from no heat to a range of 5 heat levels) and fries. The fries were good. Got cold pretty fast. I tried both medium and hot in terms of spice. I had lunch here today. I ordered the two pieces of chicken tenders, fries and added a soft drink. First time here so unsure of the spice level. The women at the counter recommended I get one medium and a mild tender as the medium does have some heat. She was right on. I enjoyed both flavors, but was more comfortable with the mild. The chicken was moist and tasty. The fries were great, salty spicy and crisp. They were delicious. This also came with some pickles and served on bread. Pickles were fine and bread was okay. First time trying Angry Chickz last week. There was a line out the door when we got there(must be good) The place was packed with people waiting for food. The staff was attentive and greeted everyone that came in. After we were waiting in line for about 10mins a staff member did notify the customers that order wait times would be about 30 mins. Not one customer left or seemed to care about the wait. I think the crew was a little overwhelmed by the volume of business But they all handled with composure!! The food was really good! I'm not a super fan of burn your face off "hot chicken" so I got the mildest spice level, nephew got a spicy level and he was sweating, everything tasted great. Definitely will be back! We stopped here as a quick "let's grab something" date night. I am a crazy fan of chicken (especially spicy) and Mac n'cheese. The chicken was so good! It was juicy but crispy and it was fresh! I got the hot, which was the ghost pepper rub and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was freaking hot, but soooo good! I was disappointed though in the Mac n'cheese. While enjoying the beautiful day at a nearby flea market by Rise Co., I was tasked to find a nearby lunch spot nearby. Not being familiar with the Oceanside area, I quickly looked for a casual spot within walking distance. Angry Chickz caught my eye. I know that I've seen either a Yelp review or mention of this establishment somewhere, so I decided to be spontaneous and try this place out. This establishment has multiple locations throughout California, with one in Arizona and another in LV. This restaurant is nestled in a cute area that reminds me of areas like downtown La Mesa. There's a short row of restaurants and businesses that are appealing to the eye, and the street was bustling with both pedestrian and car traffic. Angry Chickz also has patio seating, which is an amazing alternative to take in the outdoor environment. As I walked in, I was amused by painted art featuring an angry chicken dabbing. As I walked up, I immediately noted that the menu was quite simple. There are varying levels of hotness with the hottest one being Angry, and a short statement below it says that you have to sign a waiver. Apparently, there IS an actual waiver that you need to sign via a QR code next to the register. Please note that they don't allow you to return your food if it's too spicy for you. So, for today, I opted for Hot (feel the burn) to play it safe for now. I opted for the slider with fries. Verdict? Yes, it was spicy but tolerable. Would I get this spice level again? Yes! I tried the Xtra hot and this was a slow burn. I love spicy but this spice level was a little too much for me so I was glad I played it safe. I loved the crunchy and seasoned fries. These tasted spicy too but I think it was because I was eating spicy food lol. The chicken slider with fries can feed two people or one hungry person. This is the hottest thing I've ever eaten in my life, and I've eaten a lot of spicy things. I love spicy. I get 10s at Thai places, and extra spicy Vindaloo at Indian places. I figured they were exaggerating the spice level, so I ordered "Angry." I've never eaten anything even close to how hot this was. I thought I was gonna die. Hours later my stomach was still hurting. Four pepto pills didn't help, but eating some yogurt finally did. I'm not going to talk about what happened next. I will come back, but will see what the Medium and Hot tastes like. LOL. The owners need to hire and staff more employees!! It took over 30 mins to get two combos on a weekend, which is presumably their busiest time. This is NOT a service problem. Employees are doing their best to meet an impossible volume of orders while being as cordial as possible given the circumstances. Our medium and hot orders were of the same spice level, and nothing was labeled. Tables were gross, and of course, since they had maybe 4-5 people total working, customers had to wipe it down themselves. The cashier was literally going back and forth the counter between taking orders/payment and calling names/dolling out the stuff that was ready. When you have an overwhelmed workforce, mistakes increase and productivity goes down. Obviously you also get your hangry Karens going around making a huge scene blaming the employees :) Definitely doesn't improve the ambiance. Aside from the chicken being over-spiced for the medium level requested, it was kind of soggy and not tender. Note: Dave's Hot Chicken is due to open in Oceanside in March, and may just fill this hot chicken niche instead. At this point, the Carlsbad Main Chickz is also better. read more

I get it. Angry Chickz is fantastic. I ordered one of everything - medium heat. Medium heat was spicy with an extra somethin somethin. Combo 3 is a strip, fries and a sandwich for $12. The sandwich was my favorite part. Nice soft bread with the sweet slaw and creamy sauce and spicy chickie. The fries were even good and o don't eat fries. They are seasoned and crispy. Loaded Mac is Mac and cheese with the creamy sauce and chick and fries on bottom - $9. There were only 4 groups in line when we stopped Sunday at 12:30 for lunch. We asked for no pickles but half the order was pickled- it's fine. You have to remember that these super busy places have employees call out everyday and they are doing the best they can. We (my family) ordered there and waited in our car until it was time to pick up our food. We got there just in time... the line wasn't long. But once we got our food... the line was super long.
