Slow service. The food was fair for me but my husband did love the smoke hot wings. The waiter made a mistake on my bill which I pointed out to him and he discounted the bill in response which was good. The three stars is primarily for the fact that my burrito was flavourless even though it contained smoked chicken beans rice and cheese. I've been coming here for a while. I love the array of seafood, pulled pork and beef brisket. The service is mediocre, it's self seating so you have to wait until the servers notice you. I ordered the fish tacos, it doesn't come with a side so I ordered an additional side of fries. It is a pretty big portion so I guess you don't really need an extra side if you get full quickly, the fish tacos were really delicious a little on the spicy side for me, but over all very tasty. I also enjoy the fresh fish spread and fried green tomatoes. read more

I normally don't go out of my way to write poor reviews especially in these times however this "sports bar" went out of their way to force patrons out early so the staff could close early. They started placing chairs on the tables way before closing time. Most of us were enjoying the Lightning game and with 1 minute left in overtime they turned the TV's off. It was blatantly disrespectful and clearly demonstrated disregard for their customers. They will not receive another dime from me. Sad!! read more

Fun place, great service, yummy food, and LOVE the full bar! We were celebrating my BIL's college graduation. There were 3 kids, 8 adults, and a baby, so we sat at the high top. All the college football games were on and they changed to channel to one we could watch with another game on it. Drinks came out fast! And, they bought us all a round and my BIL another drink for his graduation. It was very nice. I am a vegetarian and they made me a delish veggie pasta. It was a little spicy, and creamy. Another awesome find! We were looking for a place to play trivia while on vacation, so I search "Trivia Wednesday" and Yelp found this great place for us (thank you yelp). They have outdoor seating, which is a plus for us northerners and the service was really good (rarely do servers offer up more ice for the beer bucket - nice). The food was better than bar food quality with a varied selection on the menu and the prices are quite reasonable. Everyone in our party of six enjoyed their meals. The fried green tomatoes are a must! I had the beef brisket and was a little disappointed it wasn't a sandwich, but that was my fault for assuming and not asking and it was still delicious. The waffle fries were cooked perfectly and the chipotle chicken sliders my husband ordered were also really good. The chips and salsa were hot and fresh and delicious as was the Reuben. As for the Trivia, we placed third which means we will be back next week to use our $10 off coupon (another advantage of a two week vacation!). read more

We used to frequent the Angry Pepper regularly for the last year and a half. We now have a 1 year old and can't bring her anymore due to both of their highchairs being broken. We have told the staff multiple times that the straps are broken and they have not been fixed. Would love to come back when I can safely bring my child. read more

We have been coming here for 3 years religiously. In an effort to support local restaurants during COVID, we ordered a bunch of smoked wings and fries to go. It pains me to write this , but it was not edible . It literally all went in the trash . We picked up at the exact time we were told, and the fries were ice cold and the wings were so dry it was like eating cardboard. I thought I would try the Angry Pepper Taphouse, as I have many friends that have told me how great the Angry Pepper is. On arrival, this taphouse is like many others, a general bar feel with a few tables for dining needs. The dining area is clean. They do give a sports bar feel as well, with many televisions set to many different sporting events. The volume on the televisions are turned up quite loud. I visited early in the afternoon when there was only 2 other tables of customers in the place. There was no loud crowd that the volume needed to be that high. The food was OK. I ordered pulled pork sliders that were on special that day. The pepper bbq sauce used was tangy and spicy. There was so much pulled pork placed on the bun that it continued to fall out. A fork was needed to finish eating. The word slider brings to my mind, a smaller version of a sandwich. I found the sliders to be quite large, and could have been the meal itself. I also tried one of their sandwiches. I would say the chicken was just OK. It was quite tough, and was difficult to cut with a knife as well. The fries were nothing to write home about, and actually less than average, a little soggy, and slightly cold. The service here is very good. The woman that waited on my was very friendly. She continued to check to make sure things were good. She seemed to be readily available if I had any needs. I would have to go back and try the food again. I'm not sure that I received the best they had to offer, and am definitely interested in trying other things on the menu. They do have many options that sound very good. read more

Had the Angry Bubba burger, I would suggest asking for the pepper spread that goes on it on the side so you can have control of how much is on it. The first time I got it it was to much and I like hot stuff, this time I asked for it on the side and it was perfect. The poppers were different from the standard poppers everyone has and some were pretty angry while others were more on the mild side. If you like spicy you will love the "Angry" selections that have a nice hot pepper relish that hits you with flavor and just the right amount of heat. We were on a lunch break from work so I can't speak about the beer or cocktails, but the food was way better than expected from what your first impressions will be when you open the door. Like I said, it's a bar with great food. You will love the waffle fries, the best ever and way more than you could eat! The only downside was a few flys that kept buzzing around us. We went to Angry Pepper Taphouse late evening on a Sunday. We were a group of 6 and it was around 9:30pm. I stopped inside and let the Bartender know we were going to sit outside. No problem, grabbed a table and we were greeted quickly by staff. Drink orders came out, the draft beers were good. We ordered Bonsai shrimp fried pickles appetizers, both were tasty. Had dinner here on August 12th. Food was okay. Service was better than the food. More downsides than upsides, including... - Loud and unpleasant music. Why play music that makes you want to scream at people? Even the waitress admitted that she could not hear us when ordering and indicated that the music was too loud. How about something relaxing?? - The bill for the meal prints out with sample tips in the amount of 20%, 25%, and 30% - are you kidding me? I eat out all across the country every week, and I have never seen a business suggest that their wait staff should get more than 20%. What is wrong with you? Granted the wait staff were better than the kitchen staff, but seriously? - As far as "bars" go it was probably middle of the pack, but it could use a good cleaning. read more

You would think after going months without wages, restaurants would be happy to have customers. Angry Pepper not so much. After being seated without menus we placed our drink order, 2 margaritas. Pretty simple (I'm a bartender) but we watched her make it with OJ. Um, no. Then after sitting for ten minutes she brought us 1 menu. We again waited for her to notice us, in a dining room with 9 customers. She took our order. We watched guests who arrived after us were served. She finally asked if we wanted another round. Mother said "no thank you but we would like food". She rolled her eyes and laughed to another waitress. She went to the kitchen window to ask about our food. The kitchen staff shrugged. She had forgotten our order. We said nevermind, just the drinks. She came to our table, whispered "sorry" and went outside to converse with a friend.
