You would think after going months without wages, restaurants would be happy to have customers. Angry Pepper not so much. After being seated without menus we placed our drink order, 2 margaritas. Pretty simple (I'm a bartender) but we watched her make it with OJ. Um, no. Then after sitting for ten minutes she brought us 1 menu. We again waited for her to notice us, in a dining room with 9 customers. She took our order. We watched guests who arrived after us were served. She finally asked if we wanted another round. Mother said "no thank you but we would like food". She rolled her eyes and laughed to another waitress. She went to the kitchen window to ask about our food. The kitchen staff shrugged. She had forgotten our order. We said nevermind, just the drinks. She came to our table, whispered "sorry" and went outside to converse with a friend. The food has always been mediocre but this service was the nail in the coffin. We will never return. read more

We would love to support this place more as it is so close to home. Selection of craft beers is excellent, food is pretty good for bar type food. BUT the service is consistently terrible!! We've been coming to this location for years each time hoping for an improvement. But alas they just don't get it. No assigned wait staff to your table - just a "free for all" amongst the staff and that way you seem to get neglected. I guess it boils down to bad management. read more

Good beer. Good crowd. Taco Tuesday is a great deal! Some of the entertainment is top notch on the weekend. The servers work super hard to make sure they are on top of your drinks. The service is fast, friendly, and very personal. The jukebox could be louder tho. But asked nicely, they turn it up, and BONUS if they like the music, they turn it waaaay up! It used to be a lot better. Service is still good. Beer still cold. But the food has really changed. Well not the taste. Still good food at least what they have if it. But they have cut so much. They claim it was to reduce the pressure on the kitchen. Hummm been coming here for years and seems the kitchen was rarely in the weeds. It ran fine. But the owners have changed and cut the menu so much we don't go as much. Used to sell great pulled chicken and pork by the 1/4 1/2 and full pound. Now it has to be a pound or more. Used to have good specials. If you wanted a special they had last week. They would still make it for you. Everything has changed and NOT for the best. The owners made it easier for them and the kitchen but far less accommodating for the customers. Oh well. We found this place we will find another. Sad read more

Wanted to go someplace new and that had outdoor seating due to the beautiful day it was outside. Best part was that(The outdoor seating). The service was slow and we where seating at the bar. The bartender keeping walking by us without acknowledging us I think because he was a liitle flustered because a customer next me had his order done wrong twice. We got nachos with shredded chicken everything on them was in big chunks which made difficult for eating. (like nachos are not difficult to eat all ready) We asked for extra sour cream which when we got them There was no sour cream at all. Chips where stale. People next us also got a wrong order. Meh not bad. Drinks are alright and food is pretty good. Sports on TV and decent music is playing. Sometimes they have live music. Which is pretty cool. Service can be hit or miss but all and all I might go back sometime for a quick drink if I need to. Someone else might like it more. There are better bars in the area I think personally. read more

Great tacos with a side of fried green tomatoes. My daughter had deep fried cod sandwich with a side of beans and rice. We both agreed that we will be back! I came here on "Taco Tuesday " with a group of 10. There was also a group of 18 right behind us. And much of the rest of the place was busy as well. Having said that.....great, attentive service with an eye for details. Most of the group I was with are regulars and the server had all of their drinks ready to go the instant they sat down. I got a peach margarita which was delicious. I ordered the tacos ($1.00) each. Honestly, they were nothing special, had the usual ingredients with sour cream and salsa in a cup to top them. But it was the service that made my night what it was. Attentive service can always make up for average food (especially at a discount). I would definitely go back on a Tuesday or any other night to get great service. A+ in my book. read more

The waffle fries are good. However everything else was pretty gross. Pulled chicken- tasted old and bathed in mayo - ew. Kids got hot dogs. You know it's not good when kids complain about a hot dog. Wings = flabby skin. Really bad food tonight...Would be hard to give it another chance. Saving grace- well loved by local community as a hang out (I suspect mostly because not much else around, dirt cheap specials, and live music) and a very friendly staff (even if a bit slow). We ordered for take out and found the food to lack flavor. The ribs were not "fall of the bone" as we would want it. It was just disaster for us. Puller pork had no flavor, the brisket was tough and wings had no flavor as well. Definitely no a go to BBQ spot for this area. read more

Ordered food, waited 45 minutes, still no food. When asked where our food was the waiter told us that other tables had priority. We waited another 15 minutes (an hour total) and then decided to leave. Left money for our drinks that we had ordered. As we were walking out our waiter ran after us and called us (a group of three girls) f***ing b****es. Manager heard the whole thing. Appalling. Cant believe he wasn't fired on the spot. Never will I recommend this place to anyone and I will be going through the proper channels until I believe that this waiter is reprimanded. Stay away. read more

This location isn't very good compared to the one in Madeira. The food is subpar, service is slow and the beer selection isn't as great. I really wanted to like this location but I wasn't able to. My food was overly greasy, The server rolled her eyes at me when I asked for some water and the prices seemed higher than the other location. I won't be coming back to this location again. read more

Excellent fall off the bone bbq ribs. Seems they make everything there, their own hot sauce, bbq seems to be their own, coleslaw and beans all made in house. Nice beer selection and friendly people, great service. Would give it 6 stars out of 5 if possible! read more

We got the jalapeño Poppers and the waitress was telling us that they are made fresh daily, so some are super spicy and some are more mild. They were delicious and quite plump. Awesome prices, tons of beers on tap, non-smoking and super clean, the staff is SO great, the owner and his family are incredible. We adore this place. The food is "bar" food but it really is so much better than what you would get at a normal local bar, with so much more variety- BBQ, ect. The Cuban is AWESOME. We always end up back here because it truly is the best. And the staff is the key in that, they are so great-fast, friendly, and obviously trained right. Definitely come here! read more

Then waited at least 15 minutes till the waitress came back to take our order only to be told they were completely out of pork. 3 of the 4 people at our table wanted pork so we were forced to qwikly decide on something else. LOVE THE FOOD! However the service is terrible... hardly ever does anyone ever come around for drink refills or to make sure your food is good or that your order is correct. The Pepper is our local favorite. The bartenders, servers, and all staff are super friendly and accomodating! We love to play NTN trivia and they always find a tv that we can easily see from wherever we're sitting on any given night. There's always a good, local acoustic act playing on the patio too. Our recommended food faves: fried pickles, buffalo shrimp, smoked fishspread, boneless wings (sweet & nasty), and waffle fries. Yes, it's bar food of the best and fried up kind - so save your foodie date for another spot.Our beer faves: vanilla porter, black & blue. Because we're locals, we generally run into a friend or two up there, but everyone we've ever talked to has been really nice.
